While working at a doggie day care training and boarding facility I was able to work with many different types of dogs! My property is large enough for dogs to be able to really run and play. “Our dog Baxter hasn’t been to doggy day care for a couple of years, so he had extra anxiety on top of his normal separation anxiety. Cliff allowed us to meet up the day prior to ensure that Baxter would be comfortable in the environment, which included a cat. The visit was a success. Cliff had a room dedicated to the animals and a beautiful backyard with vibrant green grass, which Baxter loved. Cliff was very friendly and seemed like a natural with dogs. This made us feel good about leaving Baxter with him for doggy day care the next day. When we dropped Baxter off, he acted shy at first, hesitant to approach and sticking close to us, but he looked very happy at pick-up, wagging his tail and greeting us with excitement. Cliff sent a photo and update about Baxter's visit. Baxter usually needs several visits to trust new people. Cliff patiently gave him space as he introduced and welcomed him to the pack, making the experience feel calm and positive for Baxter. We highly recommend Cliff, and will be using his services in the future.”

“I have a two year old, large, german shepherd and he can be a lot to handle for anyone. Jillian's house is the only place I have full confidence in. My dog, Roman, loves going there. As soon as I put him in the car in the am and start driving down my normal route to her house he full on cries as loud as he can until he arrives. I do not even have to walk him to the door anymore, I open up the back door and he runs as fast as he can straight to her front door. Her house is extremely well kept, and certainly dog friendly. Jillian has a hand (and heart) of gold. Roman requires lots of outside playtime, Jillian has a huge fenced in backyard where he loves to run around with his friends. She also takes him to the park daily to run around and get even more exercise. Jillian's house is truly a 5 start doggie hotel. With my crazy work schedule, Jillian is always flexible and accommodating. I do not think I could get through every week without having her by my side to take care of Roman and his needs. About: I have had dogs (and cats) my entire life. Trained, love and traveled across the US with my animals in tow with me. We currently have two dogs, Ozzy & Bear. I am retired and love to garden, travel and play with our dogs! We moved back to the Sacramento Area recently and would like to do something fun and thought pet sitting would fit perfect. No pet sitting at our house. Animals need to be in their own environment where it is safe and they are comfortable with their own toys & bed.
About: I have loved dogs since I was a child, but it wasn’t until I was older that I understood I had a special connection with animals, especially dogs. Dogs who are normally afraid of humans snuggle up to me no problem and I have personal experience with my geriatric dog now. My confident, stern, yet gentle loving approach has dogs belly up for rubs and sitting on command. I love all dogs, even ones that can be difficult to deal with. I have plenty of time as a freelancer with her own schedule take care of your fur babies. Whether that’s boarding, walking or letting out for pee/play breaks, I’m your gal. I have a fenced yard. I can give pets and, brush and play with them as needed. I also like having conversations with them as easily as I would if I were talking to a human, as I am sure most pet owners do.

I grew up dog sitting for family and friends, and even taking in strays until we could find their home again. I have fostered puppies and mommies and have cared for older and special needs dogs. About: I've always loved dogs growing up and learned to train them since I also have smart and energetic dogs who need playtime, socialization, love, and discipline. I just quit my corporate job so I have a lot of time and flexibility to play with your dog, take them to the park, go for a walk, or simply keep them company. I can drive to your house for visits, walks, or take them to the park. I can also take them to my place for boarding or playtime. About: I've cared for pets most of my life, and have experience with cats, dogs, reptiles, rodents, and birds! Primarily I specialize in cats and dogs, but am open to a variety of animals. To be more specific; I can't offer to care for the exotic, venomous, or, "dangerous" pets you may have. That said, ball pythons, hog-noses, turles/ tortoises, geckos, and lizards (like beardies and skinks) are all fair game! Currently, I'm fairly open schedule wise in general, and can often have availability to do 3 daily visits and/ or walks. I have part time employment but only get a few hours a week, so my schedule is pretty open. At the moment, I'm not available for overnight stays. SERVICES PROVIDED: In addition to the ones already on my profile, I can walk your pet for a few miles, play in a dog park with them, or just hang out with them for a while on their terms. The above also applies to cats, as well as just playing with them indoors. Birds, the reptiles listed above, rodents, and fish; I'm happy to drop in and feed them as needed. For cats, giving them space and a safe environment to explore and approach you first. If they're interested, play time is often very important to cats of various ages and breeds, so 10 minutes of playtime minimum is my goal generally. Beyond that, respecting their space as much as possible, and making sure they have plenty of fresh water and a clean litterbox. For dogs, getting their energy out through playtime and walks is important. The clients I've had prior, I also make sure their pets feel safe and loved, through lots of pets, or through giving them space.

About: I am very passionate about animal care and have been working at a pet store for three years. I take care of family's pets when they go on vacation and have one cat of my own. Very excited to be flexible with scheduling and cant wait to meet your pets! I am currently working full time, 8 hour shifts, so pets should be able to be left unattended for 8 hours max. I am looking to do house-sittings and drop-in visits during the day. When I am in others homes I keep it a safe environment by making sure the environment is hazard free first. I also make sure to stick to the pet parents schedule which is very important to keep pets at ease.
