“Our dog Baxter hasn’t been to doggy day care for a couple of years, so he had extra anxiety on top of his normal separation anxiety. Cliff allowed us to meet up the day prior to ensure that Baxter would be comfortable in the environment, which included a cat. The visit was a success. Cliff had a room dedicated to the animals and a beautiful backyard with vibrant green grass, which Baxter loved. Cliff was very friendly and seemed like a natural with dogs. This made us feel good about leaving Baxter with him for doggy day care the next day. When we dropped Baxter off, he acted shy at first, hesitant to approach and sticking close to us, but he looked very happy at pick-up, wagging his tail and greeting us with excitement. Cliff sent a photo and update about Baxter's visit. Baxter usually needs several visits to trust new people. Cliff patiently gave him space as he introduced and welcomed him to the pack, making the experience feel calm and positive for Baxter. I am experienced in overnight care, puppy caretaking, dog walking, and specialized treatments or accommodations for dogs. I’d love to love on your furry companions just as you would while you’re away! My schedule would best work with a pet who is okay to be alone during the day, but will have plenty of attention in the evenings and early mornings. In your home, I want your pet to feel as comfortable as possible with a new face. Sticking to your pet’s routine is my ultimate goal to give them a sense of normalcy while you’re away.
About: I’ve had dogs my entire life & cannot imagine life without one. My current fur baby is a 4 year old black lab & I’ve learned a lot about dog training over the last 4 years. Dogs need physical and mental stimulation every day & they rely on their humans for everything. Please allow me to love, entertain, & care for your fur babies whenever you are not available. I’m happy to be their second best friend. I’m currently a stay at home mom to 2 humans & 1 Labrador Retriever. I am available weekdays before 3pm with some flexibility 3-5pm. Available for meet & greet Saturday or Sunday. I will take notes on any special instructions or requests you have. Every pet has a different play style & individual needs so I aim to treat each one in a way that makes them (& you) happy.

“This is the first time that I've used Johnna, and all have to say is the cats warmed up to her immediately. Is she a pet whisperer? Everything went smoothly and she did everything I asked. She cleaned up litter messes and took it out to our outside garbage can so there was no litter smells when we got home. She spent time playing with them and even got my anxious cat to warm up to her. About: Hi, I'm Anna! I am a passionate, highly trained animal lover dedicated to giving your pet the safest and most fun experience possible. Since March, I have been an active volunteer with the Sacramento SPCA, where I have completed intensive online courses and hands-on, in-person training in canine behavior, body language, and socialization. I am fully certified to handle and walk the shelter's Green and Orange color-coded dogs. Because of my training and reliability, the SPCA also trusts me with their Foster Furlough program for their highest-need Pink color-coded dogs. This means I regularly take these advanced-level dogs out of the shelter environment for day trips and overnight stays in my home to give them a break. Whether your dog needs a high-energy walk, structured socialization, or just an attentive and loving overnight companion, I know exactly how to read their body language and keep them safe in real-world situations.
