“Jonte and Julie were fantastic! Their entire house is built around dogs like a Disneyland doggy daycare. Top notch professionals with a ton of space for running and playing. It looked like they had what seemed to be an agility course in the back play area. I plan on using them whenever we go out of town, or even just to let our fur baby enjoy some socialization. Thank you so much!”

“Marianne was great. Easy to communicate with and responsive. Our pup was happy and worn out when we picked her up. Looking forward to leaving Winnie in her capable hands again!”

About: Hi, I'm Anna! I am a passionate, highly trained animal lover dedicated to giving your pet the safest and most fun experience possible. Since March, I have been an active volunteer with the Sacramento SPCA, where I have completed intensive online courses and hands-on, in-person training in canine behavior, body language, and socialization. I am fully certified to handle and walk the shelter's Green and Orange color-coded dogs. Because of my training and reliability, the SPCA also trusts me with their Foster Furlough program for their highest-need Pink color-coded dogs. This means I regularly take these advanced-level dogs out of the shelter environment for day trips and overnight stays in my home to give them a break. Whether your dog needs a high-energy walk, structured socialization, or just an attentive and loving overnight companion, I know exactly how to read their body language and keep them safe in real-world situations. I have a very flexible part-time schedule, my own reliable vehicle for check-ins, and a deep commitment to following your exact house rules and routines. I can't wait to meet your furry family member! I don’t work so I’m home pretty much all time unless I’m running errands. I’m available Tuesday-sat to come and help out with your babies!! I have a fenced yard but always prefer to watch them while there going potty or playing! I’d also be able to crate them if needed:)

We take daily walks to break up our day, so your pet will get regular movement, fresh air, and lots of love in between. Pets in my care are treated like part of the family. We have a large, fully fenced backyard perfect for safe outdoor play, exploring, and burning off energy. “John did a great job. My pup was on daycare with him for the first time and looks like he enjoyed a lot. He has a big backyard which was entertaining and playful area for my pup. He really took good care of him.”

About: I've always loved dogs growing up and learned to train them since I also have smart and energetic dogs who need playtime, socialization, love, and discipline. I just quit my corporate job so I have a lot of time and flexibility to play with your dog, take them to the park, go for a walk, or simply keep them company. I can drive to your house for visits, walks, or take them to the park. I can also take them to my place for boarding or playtime. I have a huge fenced backyard and a fenced pool as well if you'd like your dog to swim, we can arrange for this as well. I have 2 friendly dogs who will also keep your dog company.
“I recently had the pleasure of entrusting my furry friend to the care of Katy and I couldn't be more impressed with the experience. From the moment I reached out, Katy was incredibly accommodating, making sure to address all of my concerns and tailor the care plan to meet my dog's specific needs. Communication was key for me, and Katy exceeded my expectations in this regard. They were incredibly responsive, promptly replying to messages and providing frequent updates throughout the day. Whether it was sending photos of my dog enjoying their walks or letting me know about any concerns, Katy made sure I was always in the loop. Beyond their responsiveness, Katy demonstrated a genuine love and affection for animals, which was evident in the way they interacted with my dog. I felt reassured knowing that my furry friend was in such capable and caring hands. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend Katy to anyone in need of pet sitting services. Their professionalism, reliability, and genuine love for animals make them stand out as an exceptional choice for pet care. I will certainly be reaching out to them again in the future.”

I am usually home during the day, in the evenings and on weekends. I have a fenced yard. The yard is large and has grass and play toys. I have two furry family dogs to keep your pet company as well. “Sammy was great! Took my boy at the last minute and was so good with him, and as an owner of an Akita, she did so well and put us at ease while we enjoyed our music festival. Would highly recommend her and if we are back in Sacramento will definitely reach out to her again”

“Jen is wonderful!! We are doing doggy daycare for our almost 4 month old golden pup Louie and Jen is so loving, kind, flexible, easy going and a great communicator. She treats him like her own and Louie gets SO excited when we pull up to her house. The tail wags and kisses when he sees her says it all. ❤️ As any pet parent knows, leaving your pup can be stressful. Jen keeps me in the loop, sends me photos and updates throughout the day which makes me so happy. We are looking forward to many more bookings with her. Thank you Jen!”

“Wyne took such a great care of my dog. She is very responsive and updated me with pictures throughout the day. Could not have asked doe a better sitter for my doggy!!! I highly recommend her.”

“Our dog Baxter hasn’t been to doggy day care for a couple of years, so he had extra anxiety on top of his normal separation anxiety. Cliff allowed us to meet up the day prior to ensure that Baxter would be comfortable in the environment, which included a cat. The visit was a success. Cliff had a room dedicated to the animals and a beautiful backyard with vibrant green grass, which Baxter loved. Cliff was very friendly and seemed like a natural with dogs. This made us feel good about leaving Baxter with him for doggy day care the next day. When we dropped Baxter off, he acted shy at first, hesitant to approach and sticking close to us, but he looked very happy at pick-up, wagging his tail and greeting us with excitement. Cliff sent a photo and update about Baxter's visit. Baxter usually needs several visits to trust new people. Cliff patiently gave him space as he introduced and welcomed him to the pack, making the experience feel calm and positive for Baxter. We highly recommend Cliff, and will be using his services in the future.”

“Nicole was awesome. She was very kind and had a great aura about her. Jupiter seemed to enjoy his stay even though he is nervous with new dogs. I would recommend her. Thank Nicole. We will definitely be back?”

“Kierstin is exemplary. She took thoughtful care of our Labs and was very flexible with our needs. I we highly recommend Kierstin. She will keep you informed throughout the pups time under her care. Thanks again!”

Thank you sooo much! I’m currently over seas and Coryn helped me out big time picking up Tito and dropping him off for all day play. He got to hang out with her play with doggies and go back home. My family forgot to leave out his food and Coryn totally stepped up, went into my fridge and fed Tito while my family was out working and getting home late. I can always rely on Coryn when ever I travel away for a day or if I’m over seas. 🙏🙏

Sharee & her family are always amazing with Clover! Clover is so excited when she sees Sharee so I know she is well taken care of. Sharee sends photo & video updates which I love so much! Clover gets so much love & attention from Sharee’s little girls as well and gets so much fetch time (and lots of walkies on the river trail!) when she’s there. We highly recommend Sharee to anyone looking for a family-friendly home for their pet while they’re away. We will continue bringing Clover here whenever we can’t take her along with us!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Carmichael commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
