Julie and her sister Sandy are wonderful. My miniature Dachshund, Bruno, has been going to their home for doggie daycare for some time now. They have gone above and beyond taking him with very little notice and picking him up and returning him. I feel very confident about his safety while in their care. Recently, I had an emergency and they picked him up without any notice and I boarded him with them for 3 days. This was the first time he was away from home and his first night he was nervous, but they gave him lots of reassurance and comfort. I highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for a loving and caring doggie daycare and boarding in a home environment.

Nicole was and is very accommodating and genuinely comes off as an animal lover which was very wonderful to find. It’s not easy leaving your fur babies with strangers but she went out of her way to make mine feel welcome and make sure that she didn’t overwhelm him. I fully plan on using her services again and would wholeheartedly recommend her if any of you are interested in a good dog sitter.

Nicole is great! I have not been a dog Mom since I was seven. My doggy is a new Rescue to me. That being said, he's very excitable as well as not potty trained yet . Nicole was very patient and answered all of my questions and concerns. I had a previous boarding experience that did not go so well because the dogs in the home barked at mine the entire time he was there (days). With that information, Nicole introduced her dogs to mine one at a time. My dog spent several hours at her home and got along so well with her fur babies. It was like a great play date! I am happy to have her as a resource should I need to board my pup.

About: I've had pet dogs my entire life, but as an adult I've personally adopted 2 dogs and a cat of my own. I have cared for pets at every stage of their life. I'm a freelance digital artist so my availability is open. I don't do artwork outside of my home, however. If I'm working for you that has my full attention. In my home I have a pool. My pug can swim but I'm still always outside when she is. Im very attentive when I take on responsibilities. My house is spacious and we are open to crating. Our pets sleep inside with us.

Our pup gets excited when he gets within a mile of her house and knowing he’s in good hands makes all the difference.

Heath Bar didn’t make it easy - he barked the entire time at Danielle’s unless she was there with him, I k ew he had separation anxiety but the only time it presented for the last several years was while he was alone in the car. His being alone in the house was not a problem for him. My take away is to be certain someone will be at home with him for most of the time he will be in someone else’s care. Danielle was very responsive and kept me informed the day Heath was in her care.

About: 🐾 My Pet Care Experience I’ve had a dog by my side for my entire life until recently, so caring for dogs has always been a natural and important part of my life. Over the years, I’ve experienced the day-to-day responsibilities that come with being a dog owner—from feeding and walks to playtime, exercise, grooming, medications, and simply recognizing when a dog needs some extra attention or reassurance. Having dogs for so many years has taught me that every dog has their own personality, habits, and needs. Some are energetic and ready to play, while others are happiest getting some attention and curling up nearby. I’m comfortable adapting to each dog and following the routine their family has established. Most importantly, I understand that leaving your dog with someone else requires trust. I will treat your dog with the same patience, kindness, and care that I’ve given my own dogs throughout my life. My Availability Retirement gives me a very flexible schedule, which means I can devote plenty of time to your dog rather than trying to fit pet care around a full-time job. I’m generally available throughout the week and can often accommodate different schedules and routines. I’m happy to discuss your specific needs and find a schedule that works well for both you and your pup. I also understand that plans can change, so communication is important. If you have a specific schedule or timing requirement, just let me know when you reach out and I’ll do my best to accommodate it. My goal is simple: **you enjoy your time away knowing your dog is safe, happy, and getting plenty of love and attention.** ❤️🐶 🛡️ Safety, Trust & Environment Your dog’s safety and well-being will always be my top priority. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big deal, and I take that responsibility seriously. I carefully follow your instructions regarding feeding, medications, routines, leash requirements, crate time, and anything else that helps your dog feel comfortable and secure. I also pay close attention to doors, gates, crates, and other potential escape risks. I want your dog to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. Whether we’re out for a walk, playing in the backyard, or relaxing at home, I provide attentive and supervised care. I’ll also treat your home with the same respect I would expect someone to show mine. I’ll keep things clean and secure, make sure your dog has fresh water, and leave your home just as I found it. Most importantly, I believe trust is earned. I’ll communicate with you, keep you updated, and make sure you feel confident knowing your dog is in good hands. 🐾❤️

About: I have been a pet owner for virtually my entire life! Cats, dogs, rabbits and even a bird! My partner and I recently lost our beloved Jack Russell Terrier “Terrie” after 14 wonderful years. While regular travel commitments make it difficult to adopt another companion of our own at this time, we would love the opportunity to care for your “best fur-iend” when we are home! My partner and I both work from home, so, rest assured, someone will always be there with your pet for playtime, potty breaks and walks. I have a fenced yard in a quiet neighborhood. The house is of a decent size and currently we are without a full-time pet of our own. Your pet will enjoy being the center of attention!

About: I have had and loved animals since I was a kid, and even more so as a responsible adult. We have a loud, rambunctious 3 year old hound/border collie mix in our home who loves other dogs and loves to play. (Hounds tend to be the most mouthy breed, and Cooper doesnt disappoint). Hes quite submissive, so he pairs well with most pups. We frequent the dog park, so we have many puppy friend. Consistency is so important for the behavior and health of your dog, so I will happily accommodate your pooches needs to their benefit. I've learned with the way our guests tend to happily (and safely) play with Cooper, that while in my care sometimes there isn't enough energy left for our routine walks. If walks are part of a training regime, please let me know so I can ensure the walks still take place. I do require a meet and greet prior to every booking. This ensures there is a good fit in personalities of pups and myself as your pup's caregiver. I apologize, but because I work from home, I cannot take in habitual barkers, or dogs who are not crate trained. If you have read this far and you use Instagram, please find me watchmywags.sacramento. I work from home, and have a flexible schedule, so no worries about separation anxiety, and rest assured your furry friend will stay plenty active freely roaming our home and property. I also have 3 lovely children who enjoy the company of animals. I'm happy to help out with evening walks. Let me know if there's a specific route you're using for training purposes. I will follow your lead. If theyre coming to my home to play, I have a large fenced yard with room to run. A designated crate area for sleep. I accompany doggos while they run about outside whether for pee, poop or play. I work from home, so your pup is welcome to hang with me and Coop while I work. Cooper is happy to keep your guy entertained under my supervision. Constant video monitoring in community areas as well, so safety is utmost importance. If we are visiting your home, please leave clear written instructions. I will respect your wishes as your pet companion.

About: I'm an avid dog person, with knowledge about various breeds, large and small, and how to care for them. I love to hang out with dogs, walk, jog and play! I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so I'm available at your dog's need and during any time of day. I grew up with dogs, and have always had a dog in adult life. I don't know what I would do without a dog! I consider myself an active person who spends time in the great outdoors as often as possible. I enjoy doing yoga, riding my bike, weight training, and walking as forms of exercise. During down time, I love to read, cook, and cuddle with my pooch. I look forward to us getting to know each other better!

About: I have had dogs all my life growing up. Honestly - there has never been a year in my life where I have not owned a dog. I have experience with small dogs to large dogs. I have volunteered for several shelters when I was younger. I have cared for senior dogs and dogs who have cancer. My dogs are spoiled and honestly, they are not pets but family. I love my dogs unconditionally the way they love me. I currently work from home all week. I am free to play, run around, and walk my furry family throughout the day. I am usually home during the day, in the evenings and on weekends. I have a fenced yard. The yard is large and has grass and play toys. I have two furry family dogs to keep your pet company as well. My home is dog friendly with multiple dog beds, toys, and treats. I have extra crates, leashes, harnesses, treats, bowls, and blankets.

I can always tell Sadie been good when she’s well behaved after. Serena and Wes have a perfect back yard for are dog who has special needs and past trauma so finding the right fit is a major factor. Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,371 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across McClellan Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your McClellan Park commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,371 sitters in McClellan Park, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
