About: I've rescued and loved pets for 23 years, including horses, cats, dogs, and hens. I'm qualified to care for all of the above. No snakes please. We have 3 dogs, two cats, and two hens.I also volunteered at Front Street Shelter by helping on Saturdays with the dogs socializing group led by Jim Houpt. Additionally, I worked at home by updating City of Sacramento's NextDoor site with available dogs for adoption from Front Street Animal Shelter. My schedule is wide open; I'm retired. I live in North Sacramento and will drive up to 20 miles from my home to yours to care for your pets for overnight care. I do overnights, days or drop-ins in your home. For days or drop-ins, I’ll drive approximately 10 miles from my home to yours. I show up on time, listen carefully to directions and take notes. It's important to give statuses to pet parents as they designate. I stay with the pets and continually let them out for potty breaks and play. I keep kitty litter boxes clean. I do not let anyone into the home. I always get vet info in case of emergency and have a list of questions about the animals for their best care.

It's scary giving someone all of your house keys, mail keys, sensors, etc. In my opinion, Lisa went above and beyond! She is extremely detail oriented which I love. She writes notes everyday on each cats behavior and personality. You also receive daily pictures, which are really nice to confirm that your cats are having fun. Two of my cats are rescues, and are normally cautious around anyone new. One of them absolutely loved her! I honestly couldn't believe it was the same cat!! Not only was she great with the cats, she also made sure to take really good care of my apartment. She vacuumed daily (lots of hair), and it looked very clean when I walked through the door. She also put all of my mail on the kitchen counter. Her prices are way more affordable than most people in Sacramento. I met up with a couple before Lisa, and their prices for drop in visits per cat were outrageous. They also didn't seem to have that loving personality I was looking for. Lisa is a very warm and welcoming person, and I highly recommend that you try her out to take care of your babies. Thank you so much Lisa!”

About: I grew up taking care of the family pets. We had a family farm, I was raised taking care of all the animals. My main job though was taking care of the family pets. My brothers snakes and horse, sisters rats and guinea pigs, my cats and cow, mom's chicks, dad's dogs. I learned early that that all living creatures responded to good food, clean quarters, and loving care. I no longer work for anyone else. My time is devoted to what I love doing. I keep plenty of open time and am never in a hurry to leave your fur-baby. I have cats so often the preference is to care for your fur-baby in your home. I have a large room devoted to fur-babies and it is a safe place for older, infirm loved pets that need more personal attention while you're on away.
