“Fatima is a wonderful, kind, responsible person! We are so lucky to have found her on Rover.. She is always spending great time with our pup Zoey playing outside giving her treats to ease the leaving time, filling all water dishes. She goes above and beyond while she is at our house for daily drop in for our new young puppy. 😊. We love having the peace of mind that Zoey is well taken care of by someone that adores her and doesn’t get too frustrated with her puppy ways. We will be using her as long as we can and giving referrals to our friends and family as well.”

About: I grew up on a ranch taking care of all kinds of animals! Growing I had 5 dogs and 2 cats that I was regularly tasked with the care of. I’ve dealt with many puppies and kittens and love getting to take of and bond with them. I currently have a german shepard husky mix and a little black cat 🤗 I work graveyard shifts, which means Im available everyday of the week as early as needed into the late afternoon! Thursdays and Fridays Im open all day and night. I’ll always make sure the owner is updated and aware whilst Im caring for their pet to ensure theres to worry, as-well as making sure I understand every rule/precaution given.
“We had a need of an emergency change in sitters while we were out of town (super stressful!) and Kevin was able to save the day! Amazing communication, great updates and photos, and truly went above and beyond in caring for our pup with walks and cuddles. Very thankful for the care and service provided by Kevin!”

“My sweet senior Chihuahua was at ease with Jess from the very first meeting. Jess has a calming nature, which I believe my dog sensed right away. He’s quite comfortable with her already. Communication with Jess is prompt and thorough. I appreciate that she asks questions so that she may provide the best care. She sends photo/video updates giving peace of mind that my dog is happy and well cared for. There are many sitters to choose from on Rover, but I feel I hit the jackpot with Jess!”

About: I’ve cared for pets for as long as I can remember. I always had about 4 dogs (plus many other animals) in the house at any given time since I was little. Anytime family or friends go out of town I’m the first one they call to look after their pets. I can guarantee I am highly reliable and will love to look after your pets and give them my best absolute best care! At the moment my schedule is fairly open so I will have plenty of time on weekdays and weekends to look after and take care of your pets. While taking care of your pets at your home I will follow any and all guidelines you have as to how you would like your pets to be cared for.

“Emily was a great sitter! Our cat loved her. She took special care to learn all about him. She took note of how he likes to play, what food he likes, and even the little things that we do for him when we are home. We are looking forward to hiring her again!”

“Johnna once again made it possible for us to do a really important trip to care for relatives. We are so grateful to her. We could not do everything we have to do right now without her. We know she will simply always take care of our animals, and we never have to worry.”

About: Ive taken care of many different animals since I was young, I have prior sitting and walking experience with family members and friends as clients. I am a gentle animal lover and genuinely care about your animals well being and happiness! I am currently working at a part time job at the mall, I don't get many hours so I have an open schedule to take care of your animals! I will always make sure you as the client tell me details about your home area so I can make sure i can apply those limitations into the pet care I provide. I will never disrespect your space or your fur baby.

About: Not only have I grown up with large dogs for the past 23 years, but I have also consistently pet sat for families in need of a loving and reliable sitter. I’m the type of person who has to stop and say hello to every dog I see, so caring for furry friends is something that comes naturally to me! I treat every pet as if they were my own, giving them plenty of love, attention, and care while you’re away. Although I do not train animals, I do have experience in providing oral medication as well as walks, feeding, and love! I’m currently in a transition period and taking a gap year, which gives me plenty of time and flexibility for pet sitting! While my schedule varies, I have a very open and adaptable availability and can often accommodate different scheduling needs. When caring for your pet in your home, I make it my priority to keep their routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. I’ll provide plenty of love, attention, playtime, and cuddles while making sure they are fed, exercised, and cared for according to your instructions. I also treat your home with the same respect and care as I would my own!
“Markita is awesome! She checked in on my two kitties over the holidays and was super responsive and clearly cared about their wellbeing. She even offered to go out and pick up more cat food when she saw the bag was low, which was so above and beyond what I would ask and was very thoughtful. I would totally recommend her”

“Doh is incredibly sweet, trustworthy, and reliable. She communicates promptly, provides thoughtful updates and advice, and genuinely cares about our pet’s well-being. We truly appreciate her kindness and dedication. We highly recommend her and would happily book with her again!”

About: I’ve lived with pets my whole life, and I am a very attentive and patient care giver. Any pet staying with me will get lots of attention and love. I will ensure timely feedings, plenty of fresh water, and lots of safety and love. I am a stay at home mom, and my oldest is in full time kindergarten, so I’ll have lots of time to care for your pet, 7 days a week. I have a recently remodeled fenced in back yard, that backs up to a beautiful, shaded nature walk on the edge of a wetlands nature preserve. Any walks we go on will have plenty of safe exploring for your pet. I have two male siamese cats of my own at home who are generally pretty tolerant of other animals. I also have two young children, ages 5 and 3 so as long as your pets are comfortable and good around kids we would love to love on your fur babies!
“Absolutely amazing! Being my first experience I was a little nervous but, immediately felt comfortable when I saw the way my dogs were around her. Pics and updates were great allowing me to feel free to enjoy my trip. 100% would recommend and do this again..”

“She was able to watch my two cats last minute for 4th of July weekend which I appreciate! There was some confusion it seems of the litter box since there was litter all over my carpet, but she did good otherwise.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - McClellan Air Force Base
Dylan took such great care of our pets while we were away this weekend. He came over ahead of time to meet our animals, get to know our house, and make sure he was prepped to come for the visit. He asked great questions, listened intently, and made sure to follow up. During the visit he checked in with us, sent us photos, and seemed to do well with our pets. I highly recommend Dylan for your pet needs in the future.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in McClellan Air Force Base. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
