About: From what I've noticed over the years, is that shy or reserved cats seem to warm up to me, even to the owner's surprise! I've had friends and new clients tell me their cat usually isn't very receptive to a lot of new people, yet they ended up approaching me anyway. Of course, every cat is different, so I can't promise that'll always happen, but I like to think I have a calm, patient presence that seems to draw the cats in, where they feel safe enough to come around on their own terms. I remember I was visiting a friend for the first time, when she told me her cat never let anyone pet him except for her, and occasionally her husband. With this in mind, I approached her cat slowly, paying attention to his body language, and I noticed him get comfortable with me, and before long he was purring so loudly while I gently rubbed his belly. After seeing how relaxed he was, I gently gave him a hug, and he stayed right where he was, purring loudly into my ear. My friend was so happy and excited that he was letting someone else get so close to him like that. Moments like that really remind me that earning a cat's trust is truly something special, and I never take it for granted.

About: I love dogs. I've been around them all my life. My ultimate goal is to have a retirement home for rescues and this is the first step. I'm flexible with my availability and have experience with all kinds of pups (no matter the age, they're all pups). I have run half marathons so keeping up if needed is a non issue. But also am able to take it slow for older pups if some extra attention is needed too. I have two rescues (both hounds) and they mean the world to me. They aren't as big into the outdoors as I am but they do love to cuddle. I am often considered the boy scout in group because of my sunny disposition and philosophy of always being prepared.

“Heath Bar didn’t make it easy - he barked the entire time at Danielle’s unless she was there with him, I k ew he had separation anxiety but the only time it presented for the last several years was while he was alone in the car. His being alone in the house was not a problem for him. My take away is to be certain someone will be at home with him for most of the time he will be in someone else’s care. Danielle was very responsive and kept me informed the day Heath was in her care.”

About: I may not have dogs of my own but I sure do love being around them. Before moving I use to volunteer at an animal shelter and I loved it there just to see how dogs were able to have at least a couple of minutes of happiness from pups to seniors. I also foster kitties and have two of my own! I am currently attending nursing school, so can’t fit a full time job into my schedule. This is the best option because it’s something I love and I can still complete my studies! I would first build trust with the animal ensuring they are not frightened by me. We have a loud, rambunctious 3 year old hound/border collie mix in our home who loves other dogs and loves to play. (Hounds tend to be the most mouthy breed, and Cooper doesnt disappoint). My home includes my 3-year-old daughter, 7-month-old son, one friendly small dog, and three cats, so I ask that any pets staying with us are comfortable around children and other animals. About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since I started walking. I currently have a beautiful bengal named nova and a tiny chihuahua named lucky. I used to dog sit and help out with my neighbors senior dog as well. I have looked after my friend’s animals for years. All dogs are puppies to me no matter the size or age! About: I have taken care of my husky malamute mix for over 8 years. Because of him, I’ve learned to look after a large, stubborn dog who is difficult to control. As a result, I have to ability to handle unexpected scenarios. I am experienced in taking of older mature animals as I have a 23 + year cat. I will treat your fur baby as my own. Mine are like my kids. I love all breed of dog small or large. I do not fear any type of dog. I am available after 5 pm M-F and anytime on weekends. If necessary will stay overnight as long as house rules are known. I will walk or run your dog as I walk my own, good exercise for me as well. Will even house sit for cat or cats if have any. Will give lots of love & attention. Be respectful. Lots of playtime if it is needed. I will sit or take care of any animal except snakes or rats or spiders. Rates negotiable. I do require at least 3 days in advance for any dog sitting requests. I am available to sit for your fur baby any day of the week. I do have a day job so if they are ok being by themselves during the day, in this case 8-4:30 i will be more then happy to stay with them til morning going to work from ones home. This is M-F and from F-M am can stay so I can focus my full attention on them. For day visits and walking it would of course be a time after 4:30 pm M-F and anytime Sat and Sun. I am willing to accept new clients outside of my 30 mile radius it will be extra but knowing that your pet or pets will be taken care of by someone who loves their pets as much as you do is priceless. I am available most holidays. I can sit for 4:30 pm til 6 am as I have a day job. Then return afterward at 4:30 stay overnight til 6 am and stay full time on wknds As if they were my own at my own home and your rules.........take care of them as if they were my kids as they are your kids

“Philip was an amazing dog and house sitter for us while we were out of the country for 5 days. He took great care of both of our pups and we never once had to worry about anything and could truly enjoy our time away. He even cleaned up the house and vacuumed so we came home to a clean house. Not something we asked of him, just something he did and was greatly appreciated. One of our pups is high energy and he took extra time to take her to the park with one of his dogs on most of the days we were gone so they could play, run and chase each other. Our other dog is over 100 lbs and he walked with him each day without a problem. He easily met the needs of both of our dogs. He followed all care instructions and is very responsible.
