About: Hi! I’m a student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo studying Nutrition, and I’m focusing on pet care this summer. I’ve been caring for animals for over 10 years, including dogs, cats, and reptiles, and it’s something I genuinely enjoy. I’m comfortable with pets of all ages and personalities, from energetic puppies who need lots of attention and exercise to senior pets who need a little extra patience and care. I’m also very detail-oriented and great at sticking to routines, so I’ll make sure your pet gets the care they’re used to while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I pay close attention to their routines, behavior, and specific needs-especially during walks and daily care. With experience ranging from puppies to senior dogs, I adjust my approach to match each pet’s energy level and any special requirements. At home, I have a medium-sized senior dog named Amber who is very laid back and gets along well with other pets. When I care for animals in my home, I always do slow, careful introductions and prioritize safety and comfort. I make sure each pet has their own space and only allow interaction when both animals are fully comfortable.

About: Having been through some pretty big life changes recently, I’m reminded to slow down and focus on things that make me happy. One thing that makes me happy is dogs. I’ve also wanted to get out and take more walks, so what better way to enjoy both than dog walking. I’ve had pets of all types all my life, but dogs are hands down my favorite. I currently have two of my own and occasionally watch my friends’ dogs. A friend of mine uses Rover, and I’ve been a pet sitter since I was a teen, so I thought I’d give it a try. I have taken a few training classes when my dog was a puppy and I have some experience with special needs (seniors, blindness, low mobility, and seizures). I work full time, but telework three days a week. For midday visits and dog walks, someone close to home would be best to ensure availability. We can always discuss evening visits or walks as well. For boarding, unless discussed and scheduled prior, weekends would best to ensure I can be home with your fur babe. I treat visiting pups like my own. They’re allowed on my furniture and in my bed. I have multiple crates of various sizes if a crate is needed. My yard is fenced, but dogs aren’t typically left unattended in the yard. I have seven free range chickens in my yard, so their safety is also a concern for me. I’m also open to discussion if your dogs’ needs don’t align with my typical routine; I don’t mind changing things up if it’s something I can accommodate.

“Our dog Baxter hasn’t been to doggy day care for a couple of years, so he had extra anxiety on top of his normal separation anxiety. Cliff allowed us to meet up the day prior to ensure that Baxter would be comfortable in the environment, which included a cat. The visit was a success. Cliff had a room dedicated to the animals and a beautiful backyard with vibrant green grass, which Baxter loved. Cliff was very friendly and seemed like a natural with dogs. This made us feel good about leaving Baxter with him for doggy day care the next day. When we dropped Baxter off, he acted shy at first, hesitant to approach and sticking close to us, but he looked very happy at pick-up, wagging his tail and greeting us with excitement. Cliff sent a photo and update about Baxter's visit. Baxter usually needs several visits to trust new people. Cliff patiently gave him space as he introduced and welcomed him to the pack, making the experience feel calm and positive for Baxter. We highly recommend Cliff, and will be using his services in the future.”

About: I've had pet dogs my entire life, but as an adult I've personally adopted 2 dogs and a cat of my own. I have cared for pets at every stage of their life. I'm a freelance digital artist so my availability is open. I don't do artwork outside of my home, however. If I'm working for you that has my full attention. In my home I have a pool. My pug can swim but I'm still always outside when she is. Im very attentive when I take on responsibilities. My house is spacious and we are open to crating. Our pets sleep inside with us.

Since March, I have been an active volunteer with the Sacramento SPCA, where I have completed intensive online courses and hands-on, in-person training in canine behavior, body language, and socialization. I am fully certified to handle and walk the shelter's Green and Orange color-coded dogs. Because of my training and reliability, the SPCA also trusts me with their Foster Furlough program for their highest-need Pink color-coded dogs. This means I regularly take these advanced-level dogs out of the shelter environment for day trips and overnight stays in my home to give them a break. “I booked Alora (Stacy) for doggy day care for my two dogs while I was out of town. Our meet and greet prior to booking went very well! I could easily tell how much Alora cared about taking care of animals. My dogs liked her and her dogs as well. Alora was accommodating, communicative and so kind! Due to the departure and return flight times for my trip, I needed a very early morning drop off and late night pick up. Alora was fine with this and even let me drop off a little early so I had time to get to the airport without being in a rush. Despite the length of my dogs' stay, she kept her rates as they were shown prior to my booking. She also sent multiple text updates as well as videos of my dogs. I felt confident that my dogs were in good hands while I was away! When I picked up my dogs, I could tell they had a great day and were both asleep shortly after I got them home. My yard is fully fenced in and even my escape artist husky is safe and secure in the backyard. They will always be under my direct supervision when in the backyard. There are lots of toys to play with in the backyard, even an outdoor bed if they prefer to relax.
