About: Having been through some pretty big life changes recently, I’m reminded to slow down and focus on things that make me happy. One thing that makes me happy is dogs. I’ve also wanted to get out and take more walks, so what better way to enjoy both than dog walking. I’ve had pets of all types all my life, but dogs are hands down my favorite. I currently have two of my own and occasionally watch my friends’ dogs. A friend of mine uses Rover, and I’ve been a pet sitter since I was a teen, so I thought I’d give it a try. I have taken a few training classes when my dog was a puppy and I have some experience with special needs (seniors, blindness, low mobility, and seizures). I work full time, but telework three days a week. For midday visits and dog walks, someone close to home would be best to ensure availability. We can always discuss evening visits or walks as well. For boarding, unless discussed and scheduled prior, weekends would best to ensure I can be home with your fur babe. I treat visiting pups like my own. They’re allowed on my furniture and in my bed. I have multiple crates of various sizes if a crate is needed. My yard is fenced, but dogs aren’t typically left unattended in the yard. I have seven free range chickens in my yard, so their safety is also a concern for me. I’m also open to discussion if your dogs’ needs don’t align with my typical routine; I don’t mind changing things up if it’s something I can accommodate.

I could easily tell how much Alora cared about taking care of animals. My dogs liked her and her dogs as well. Alora was accommodating, communicative and so kind! Due to the departure and return flight times for my trip, I needed a very early morning drop off and late night pick up. Alora was fine with this and even let me drop off a little early so I had time to get to the airport without being in a rush. Despite the length of my dogs' stay, she kept her rates as they were shown prior to my booking. She also sent multiple text updates as well as videos of my dogs. “Our dog Baxter hasn’t been to doggy day care for a couple of years, so he had extra anxiety on top of his normal separation anxiety. Cliff allowed us to meet up the day prior to ensure that Baxter would be comfortable in the environment, which included a cat. The visit was a success. Cliff had a room dedicated to the animals and a beautiful backyard with vibrant green grass, which Baxter loved. Cliff was very friendly and seemed like a natural with dogs. This made us feel good about leaving Baxter with him for doggy day care the next day. When we dropped Baxter off, he acted shy at first, hesitant to approach and sticking close to us, but he looked very happy at pick-up, wagging his tail and greeting us with excitement. Cliff sent a photo and update about Baxter's visit. Baxter usually needs several visits to trust new people. Cliff patiently gave him space as he introduced and welcomed him to the pack, making the experience feel calm and positive for Baxter. About: I have a degree in Animal Science and Agribusiness from Cal Poly SLO. I have also worked in veterinary clinics as well as many different farms and ranches around the country. I’ve worked with lots of household pets and livestock both. I’m happy to house sit if needed as well! About: I've been pet sitting since the fifth grade. I've sat cats and dogs and I have experience pet sitting, house sitting, and dog walking. I've always had a passion for animals so this is a great side gig for me. This semester, I will be in class from 9:30-5:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays and working from 9-2 on Mondays and Wednesdays. I will also be doing some training rides for the cycling teams in the range of 1-6 hours throughout the week. I will probably be hauling around my sewing machine for house sitting appointments as I need to work on my senior project.
