About: Hi! I’m a student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo studying Nutrition, and I’m focusing on pet care this summer. I’ve been caring for animals for over 10 years, including dogs, cats, and reptiles, and it’s something I genuinely enjoy. I’m comfortable with pets of all ages and personalities, from energetic puppies who need lots of attention and exercise to senior pets who need a little extra patience and care. I’m also very detail-oriented and great at sticking to routines, so I’ll make sure your pet gets the care they’re used to while you’re away. Whether I’m taking your dog for a walk, stopping by for a visit, providing overnight care, or simply keeping your pet company, my goal is always to help them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I make communication a priority and am happy to provide updates along the way. My number one goal is to give both you and your pet peace of mind. I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own, so you can feel confident they’re in good hands! I am very flexible and I am open to care on weekdays and weekends. I am usually available throughout the day, from mornings to late nights. My availability for care ends August 12th. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I pay close attention to their routines, behavior, and specific needs-especially during walks and daily care. With experience ranging from puppies to senior dogs, I adjust my approach to match each pet’s energy level and any special requirements. At home, I have a medium-sized senior dog named Amber who is very laid back and gets along well with other pets. When I care for animals in my home, I always do slow, careful introductions and prioritize safety and comfort. I make sure each pet has their own space and only allow interaction when both animals are fully comfortable.

About: I’ve been house and pet sitting for two years, caring for the home and animals of family and friends who trust me with what matters most to them. That trust is something I take seriously - every client I’ve worked with has told me their house was cleaner when I left than when they went away, and their pets were happier for having me around. What sets me apart: I treat your house like it’s mine to protect, not just occupy. Dishes clean, surfaces wiped, everything put back where it belongs - you’ll come back to a space that feels cared for and not just sat in. I keep your pets routine exactly as they know. Feeding times, walk schedules, medication, bedtime habits - I stick to it precisely, because I know animals feel safest when nothing changes. I have real experience with a wide range of pets and needs. I’ve cared for Labs, show dogs, dogs on medication schedules, and senior dogs, along with senior cats and cats on special diets. I’m comfortable handling medication administration, mobility needs, and extra attention older or health conscious pets require - nothing catches me off guard. I’m a life long animal person, not just a sitter. In have two cats of my own, so I understand pet behavior and needs firsthand - from routine care to reading the subtle cues that tell you something’s off. I come with a track record, not just promises. Two years of repeat sits with the same families and friends means I have real references who can speak consistency, trustworthiness, and care. Whether it’s a weekend or an extended trip, I’ll treat your home and pets like they’re my own responsibility to protect - because to me, they are. I'm home for the summer from college with no other job commitments, so pet care is my main focus during this time. That means I have flexible, wide-open availability throughout the day and week — including weekdays, weekends, and extended stretches for house sitting. Since I don't have a 9-to-5 pulling me away, I can be fully present with your pets rather than squeezing in visits between other obligations. Whether it's a quick daily check-in or a multi-day house sit, I have the time and attention to give your cats a consistent, calm routine while you're away. Whether I'm in your home or out on a walk, safety and consistency come first — pets feel most comfortable when their environment feels calm and predictable, so that's what I aim to create every time. In Your Home (Drop-Ins & House Sitting): I treat every home like it's not my own to take liberties with, but exactly as it was entrusted to me. That means: Following your instructions to the letter — feeding amounts, medication schedules, house rules (furniture, gates, closed doors) are treated as non-negotiable, not suggestions. Keeping doors and gates secured at all times, especially during entry and exit, so there's no risk of an escape. Doing a quick safety scan on arrival — checking that nothing's been knocked over, chewed, or left in a place that could be a hazard, and that food/water bowls are clean and full. Keeping cleaning supplies, medications, and anything toxic out of reach, and letting you know right away if I notice something that could pose a risk (an unlatched cabinet, a chewed cord, etc.). For house sitting specifically, maintaining your home's normal security — lights on a sensible schedule, doors locked, and treating your space with full respect and privacy. Sending photo/video updates so you can see, not just hear, that your pet is safe and settled. On Walks: A secure leash-and-collar (or harness) check before we ever step outside — I don't take a pet out the door until I've confirmed the gear is snug and secure. Sticking to routes I know well, so I can anticipate things like busy intersections, off-leash dogs, or construction — and adjusting the pace or path if something feels unsafe. Carrying water on hot days and watching closely for signs of overheating, fatigue, or discomfort. Keeping a firm, calm hold and clear boundaries around other dogs or people, so your pet never feels put in an unpredictable situation. Immediate check-ins with you if anything unexpected happens — an injury, an unusual reaction, anything out of the ordinary — rather than waiting until the visit is over. Building Trust: For every new pet, I take the first visit slow: letting them approach me on their own terms, learning their specific cues (what makes them anxious, what makes them relax), and following any introduction routine you'd like. I'd rather spend a little extra time earning a pet's trust up front than rush into handling that makes them uncomfortable. That calm, structured approach is really the foundation of everything I do — pets do best when they know exactly what to expect from the humans around them, and that's exactly what I aim to provide.
“Ayla has been walking our dog for a month now and she has been fantastic! She is great at communicating what is going on and responds very quickly. Our dog has been so much happier since she started walking him. She’s exactly what we were looking for.”
“Brooklyn has been walking Maggie for a week now and Maggie loves Brooklyn! Brooklyn is prompt to respond to requests and easy to communicate with. Maggie will be 14 this year and she requires accommodations and special handling. Brooklyn has demonstrated compassion and understanding with my detailed instructions. She takes care to pay attention to Maggie's energy and gait and provides updates on her activities. Brooklyn is trustworthy and I feel comfortable with giving her access to my home when I'm away. Thank you Brooklyn!”

“Jennifer is AMAZING!! She was so accommodating to the last minute request. She exceeded my expectations by being so so so patient with my boy Bear (he was abused when he was a puppy and gave him the time he needed to acclimate. I will definitely be asking for her services again, if she’s willing! Thank you Jennifer!!”

“Riley has been such a amazing help while I was recovering from an injury that prevented me from being able to take my dog on a walk. He was very careful of her limitstions of being dog reactive and made me feel comfortable that she was in good hands!”

“Sweet person! My 18 month Aussie was so happy to get out and play/walk with her! She even gave her a bath when she had an accident! Will definitely be rebooking with her.”

About: I’ve been a dog lover since I was a little kid! I had my first dog at 9 years old and she’s still with me today, my sweet, little cockapoo, Sakura! I’ve had years of experience, raising Sakura and watching over my own family’s dogs from time to time. Recently, my husband and I welcomed Yuki into our lives, a friendly and energetic labrador retriever. It’s been amazing to see how well he gets along with Sakura and other dogs he meets at the park. Training skills I have acquired are potty training, crate training, various commands, and leash training. Excited to meet your fur babies!! I am a full time grad student, so I have the flexibility of being available during my break from classes! I am mainly available Monday-Thursdays after 1pm & Fridays-Sundays all day! I will meet your pets’ physical and mental stimulation through walks and play time. I will make sure they are well fed, have plenty of water, take them outside for potty breaks, and give them lots of snuggles!!

About: I have had at least 3 pets my entire life, and that was at my parents' house. I have pet-sat for numerous friends and family members. I have cared for dogs ranging from puppies to senior cuties! I currently have 1 cat at my mom's, 2 dogs, and a cat at my dad's. I am very comfortable with animals, and I am always making sure that they are being taken care of and are having a fun time! I am currently working part-time, usually closing shifts, which are normally 5-9 pm. So I have plenty of time to play with your pets:) I have grown up with pets my whole life, and I am committed to providing a safe and fun environment. My number one concern is your pets:)
“We have a sweet but anxious little rescue dog. He doesn't like anything new or out of the routine, and he doesn't like anyone but his ONE human. David was able to help him feel less insecure, and now he has one one human on the (short) list of humans he can trust. THANKS, David, for helping our Buster feel secure!”
“KiAshe has been so wonderful with my pup. She has been reliable with showing up on time for his walks and sending me updates and pictures while at work. The pup always looks happy while he’s with her :) thank you!!”

“McKenzi was the primary walker for my sweet girl, Olivia, for over a year and she was by far the most reliable walker that I had. She is amazing at communicating well in advance when she isn’t able to walk her so I can plan accordingly. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of a walker, you won’t regret picking her!!!”

“Have had Isabella dog walking service for a few months now, and I am still thrilled with her service! She's super attentive for my pup and I've seen such a growth in independence and potty training since having her. Thanks a million again, Isabella!”

About: I absolutely love pets! I’ve taken care of all different kinds of cats and dogs for about 15 years and have experience volunteering and fostering with both elderly and newborn pets. Most of my work includes feeding, cleaning, bathing, and occasionally medicinal or bottle feeding care (if needed). I am currently working part time, but I still have plenty of time to spend with your pets! I am available every day during the week. I don’t have a set schedule with work, but it is very flexible and can be discussed depending on your schedule. I personally have strict rules of keeping my pets inside at night due to frequent coyote sites in my area, and have no problem reigning in your pets if needed as well for whatever reason. I can absolutely bend to my clients rules in whatever means I can to ensure their pets safety.
About: Hello there! As a lifelong dog lover, sitter, and owner, I understand how important it is to ensure your furry friends get the care and attention they deserve. With years of experience, I am dedicated to helping your pets get the exercise, fresh air, and companionship they need when you’re unable to. Imagine coming home to a relaxed and happy pup, eager to greet you after a fun and invigorating walk. That’s what I aim to provide—peace of mind for you and joy for your pets. Rest assured, your beloved companions will be in excellent hands with me. I look forward to meeting and caring for your precious fur babies! Mornings and afternoons are flexible for pet care, including feeding and walks. Weekdays conclude with additional pet care, playtime, and relaxation, wrapping up by 4pm to maintain a balanced schedule. This setup ensures both my home life, and pets receive the attention they deserve throughout the day. I provide dedicated care for your pets in the comfort of their own home. My approach ensures their well-being through regular feeding, engaging playtime tailored to their preferences, and attentive consideration of their individual needs. I prioritize creating a safe and nurturing environment where they feel secure and content while you're away. Rest assured, I treat your fur babies with the same love and attention as if they were my own, keeping them happy and healthy until your return.
About: I've been pet sitting since the fifth grade. I've sat cats and dogs and I have experience pet sitting, house sitting, and dog walking. I've always had a passion for animals so this is a great side gig for me. This semester, I will be in class from 9:30-5:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays and working from 9-2 on Mondays and Wednesdays. I will also be doing some training rides for the cycling teams in the range of 1-6 hours throughout the week. I will probably be hauling around my sewing machine for house sitting appointments as I need to work on my senior project. I don't offer in-home services as my current housing doesn’t allow for pets and because I think my space is too small for most dogs or cats to be happy. As a dog walker/sitter I will ensure your pets get the attention and care you would give them yourself; feeding, walking, playtime, and of course lots of pets and friendly words.
“Derek was amazing with my spastic 1 yr old Golden Retriever! She always came back worked out and tired and a huge smile on her face. Thank you for taking such great care of my Gemma!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment.
