“Ella is really great with my new rescue Maggie, who needs a little extra TLC, after just coming home from the shelter. Ella is very reliable, gentle and caring with Maggie. I have no worries being at work while Ella takes good care of Maggie!”

“Can't recommend Bill enough. He's been the best care taker for my dog when I'm not around and I feel at ease knowing he's in good hands with Bill. Always love reading the personalized notes after each walk. Thanks for your help always!”

“Ayla has been walking our dog for a month now and she has been fantastic! She is great at communicating what is going on and responds very quickly. Our dog has been so much happier since she started walking him. She’s exactly what we were looking for.”

“Maria did a great job with taking my pup out for some fun and exercise exploring the neighborhood while I'm recovering from a leg injury! Her warm personality and experience with dogs really went a long way with our rambunctious fun loving pup, and she was able to go the extra mile for us! We will be calling on Maria again in the near future!”

“We were going out of town for a few days so we needed someone to walk our dog while we were away. Amanda was nothing but amazing. She quickly responded with any questions I had and the photos she took were so great to see. The biggest win is that Phoebe (our 70lb American Staffordshire Terrier) loved being around Amanda. Everyone had such positive things to say about Amanda. We will definitely rebook in the future.”

“Jarrod did a great job walking my Alaskan Malamutes. He was an attentive and active listener, learning their commands and walking style. He offered positive feedback on the walking experience. Both dogs came back happy and relaxed. I look forward to continuing to work with Jarrod.”

About: I have hands‑on experience caring for pets of all personalities, and I’m especially good with shy or sensitive animals who need extra patience. I read body language well, move gently, and create a calm environment where pets feel safe and understood. I follow routines carefully, handle feeding and litter/crate care confidently, and tailor my approach to each pet’s emotional needs. I also send clear updates and sweet photos so you always feel connected to your pet. My goal is to provide reliable, loving, princess‑level care that keeps every animal comfortable and every owner at ease. I work best with fast-paced short shifts, I prefer flexible work and thrive independently. And pet care fits right into that for me. Also I love animals more than people. I care for pets in a way that keeps them comfortable, safe, and completely at ease whether they’re staying in my home or I’m caring for them in yours. In my home, I create a calm, clean, and cozy environment where pets can relax, explore, and feel secure. I follow their routines closely, offer gentle companionship, and make sure they get plenty of love, attention, and quiet comfort. When I’m in a client’s home, I respect their space, maintain their pet’s normal schedule, and keep everything consistent so the animal feels safe and stress‑free. I move softly, communicate clearly, and tailor my care to each pet’s personality. My goal is always the same: to make every pet feel like royalty and every owner feel completely confident while they’re away.
About: Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for Dorothy and Simba for 14 and 13 years — feeding, walking, grooming, and handling every vet visit along the way. When Dorothy was hurt in a dog attack and needed emergency care, I was the one who got him to the vet and stayed level-headed through it, which taught me a lot about staying calm in stressful situations. I’ve also fostered dogs, so I’m comfortable with pets who need a little extra patience or adjustment time. At the end of the day, I just genuinely love dogs — it’s not a job to me, it’s something I’ve always done. My schedule is very flexible right now, so I have plenty of availability throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, or boarding — mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I may eventually pick up part-time work, but even then I’d still have consistent time set aside for pet care. There’s also a park right across the street from my apartment, so daily walks and playtime are easy to build into the routine. I live in an apartment with two cats of my own so I don’t currently have dogs at home — just a calm, clean space I keep consistent for any pet staying with me. My cats are used to visitors and generally easygoing, but I’m happy to talk through introductions ahead of time if that matters for your pet. There’s a park directly across the street, which makes it easy to get dogs outside for exercise multiple times a day.
“Cole was great, pups loved him, and luckily he was very understanding about an address mixup. I’ve found not everyone is comfortable with small dogs (I have a chihuahua and a maltipoo) and he handled everything smoothly. Thank you!”

“We felt very comfortable with Marina taking our lil' Bruno on a walk. It's clear that she loves dogs! Looking forward to more walks, and some boarding days too! Thank you!”

About: I grew up with 3 dogs and other high maintenance animals so I’m comfortable with any special furry family member. I trained all my dogs in English and Korean, and can handle all dog types and ages. I drive for DoorDash and uber so my schedule can be very flexible. I can make sure any furry friend gets the appropriate time they need. I make sure I understand the boundaries that the owners have created with their furry family members. I will respect that boundary and try to give them the best care that’s closely related to the behaviors of their owners.

“Ash has walked my Aussie three times now. Poppy always returns smiling and relaxed. Ash is quickly responsive to a request and pleasingly punctual. I recommend her for dog walking without reservation.”

About: I have cared for many animals since I was a child. I’ve had 8 total pets of cared for in my life including cats, dogs, and reptiles. I know how to read their body language in order to react appropriately. I’ve cared for senior animals and kittens as well. I am active as well and can be as active or relaxed as your pet is! My schedule varies as I work two jobs and go to school, but I am incredibly flexible and am mostly in charge of my schedule. I can walk, feed, and care for your pet in any way needed. If your animal needs any type of medication I can do that as well as I have experience with it.

Bill it's been such a great opportunity to get to know you and the care you provide for Ty Chi. I always felt secure being away and knowing that ty is in good hands with you and I'm sad that we will be moving out of the area because people as genuine as you are hard to find. Thanks again for everything and hopefully we'll cross paths again. Good luck on all your future endeavors

Alyssa is a very reliable and honest dog walker. She is also super friendly and goes above and beyond her dog walking responsibilities on occasion. She walked my mom’s dog, Heidi, for her. Around Valentines Day she was wearing a blouse that my mom really liked, so she went to Walmart and picked her up a blouse similar to hers. My mom really liked having her as a walker.

Pleasure to find Vanessa on the Rover app! I immediately felt she was a great person and her love and care for dogs shines. She asked all the right questions to make sure my girl would be happy and safe on her walks - what more could a dog mom ask for? Thanks Vanessa- Princess Jellybean has really enjoyed her walks with you 💕🐾

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
