“Can't recommend Bill enough. He's been the best care taker for my dog when I'm not around and I feel at ease knowing he's in good hands with Bill. Always love reading the personalized notes after each walk. Thanks for your help always!”

“Zackary was fantastic to work with. We had initially been a little worried that we wouldn't be able to find someone to walk 2 large dogs at once. Zachary showed up and was able to put our worries to rest. We had a test-run where he showed up and put on their harnesses and took them around the neighborhood for a test run. He was so kind and willing to work with our special instructions (just come around the back, harnesses will be set here, knock on the back door to get the dogs to come out, etc) For the week we were gone on vacation, he had showed up on time , took them for long daily walks, sent updates and did everything to make sure we felt comfortable and that our dogs were happy, healthy and well exercised. Highly recommended if you're looking for a super-nice dog walker who is super-competent, punctual and great to work with. Thank you Zackary!! :)”

“Amy is very thorough and thoughtful. She took copious notes on my senior dog and changed her diaper and wiped her paws awesomely per my request. When faced with language barriers, Amy is still communicative, kind and respectful— my mom liked her too!”
“Lauren is great! This is the 2nd time we’ve asked her to walk our furry friend. She was very conscientious about the heat today, which we appreciate. Thank you Lauren! I know Fernley was very happy to see you.”

She provided clear communication, sent photos and a full update, and was punctual and dependable throughout the visit. I truly appreciated her kindness and professionalism, and I will absolutely be using her services again. 5/5 stars!”

“Michael was excellent with communication and was kind to come few days earlier to acclimatize with our dog. He was prompt and punctual. Very patient with our dog. He was flexible with changes to schedule and was very accommodating. Would definitely avail his services if a need arises in the future. Our dog will miss him and the daily walks. Great find for us.”

About: I have cared for pets of all sizes, ages, and needs! I am comfortable with caring for animals needing extra attention, elder pets, administering medication if needed, and making it my standard to treat your pet like my own! I myself have two kitties and a dog, so I know how important it is that they are around people with relaxing and good energy, which I can provide! I also work part-time from home on Mondays and Wednesdays and Fridays :) When I pet sit, I make sure that I leave the space I am pet sitting in just as it was when I arrived, if not cleaner. I respect the environments I am welcomed into and show my gratitude for any opportunity to fill a space by treating it as my own!

“Lacee is much more than a dog walker, she actually cares and observes Meeko’s behavior and reports her concerns. Meeko looks forward to their walks and is always super-excited to see her, I look forward to him getting rid of his energy so I can get work done, and we BOTH highly recommend Lacee!”

About: I've had dogs and cats my entire life. Growing up on a farm in Oregon my family bred, and I showed, Newfoundlands so my experience with pets is pretty vast. I'm newly retired from my job as a magazine publisher, I have a super flexible schedule. I love animals and have often needed pet sitters so I know it can be a challenge to find someone trustworthy. Since I coached (Track) for 30+ years I've been background checked, fingerprinted and bonded by several institutions including USATF and the Folsom-Cordova School District. I am First Aid and Safe Sport compliant. I prefer to watch pets at a client's Folsom (or nearby) home as I have two dogs of my own to care for. If a dog is great with other dogs, they may be welcome to come to my house; I have a fully fenced backyard and would be present 100% of the time.
“Taylor was amazing with my fur babies ! She made sure my babies were walked, fed, and had their water. She stayed and cuddled with them and most importantly my babies trusted her. I definitely recommend Taylor 1000% !! I will definitely hire her again and will recommend her to all my friends and family. Don’t hesitate to hire Taylor you won’t be disappointed at all !”

About: I've grown up with dogs since I was five years old. When I was a teenager, I would foster kittens till they were old enough for new homes. I would also volunteer in high school at an emergency vet clinic. I've also cat sat for my neighbors for a generous number of times. I still have my first dog from when I was five so hopefully that's a good sign :) I'm available throughout the week depending on my schedule from my primary job. Most of the time I'll for sure be able to pet sit after 3pm. On weekends I'm fully available. I will take your dog(s) on various walks throughout the day if needed. If you have a cat(s) I will routinely clean the litter box and play with them if they like with a toy. For any animal I will water is out for the thirsty pets. And I will feed based on your request.
About: I’ve taken care of fur babies since I was a little girl. Neighbors & friends have always relied on me for a last minute dog sitter/walker. No matter the breed or size I adapt quickly! I update my schedule weekly through the app. If you have any questions or requests, shoot me a message. I would absolutely love to connect and figure out a plan for you & your fur baby! I will make sure your babies are as comfortable as possible at all times. As well as, follow their daily routine. Whether that includes walks, baths, play time, and breakfast/lunch/dinner. I am open to any special request you might have while I am watching them.

Mira is awesome! My dog was so excited for his walk with her, and came home and slept the rest of the day. She was on time, professional, and followed all instructions I had mentioned previously. It is obvious that she loves animals, and has a lot of experience with them. My dog loves her!

Melody is awesome! She’s so kind and patient with my senior dog. She’s also super helpful and friendly with my elderly mom. I went on a trip and am lucky Melody was there to change my dog’s diapers, walk her several times a day, and assist my mom with feeding my dog. Melody really cares about animals and won’t hesitate to help you care for your pet while you’re away. She even did a meet and greet with me and my dog beforehand. Truly adore Melody and looking forward to using her services again!

Brianna was great with our 6 month old Labrador Retriever. Our pup connected with her quickly which gave us peace of mind that he will be well taken care of during the walk and playtime and indeed he was. We will definitely be repeat customers if Brianna continues to provide this service!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
