“Jennifer is AMAZING!! She was so accommodating to the last minute request. She exceeded my expectations by being so so so patient with my boy Bear (he was abused when he was a puppy and gave him the time he needed to acclimate. I will definitely be asking for her services again, if she’s willing! Thank you Jennifer!!”

About: Hello, I love dogs. I have had them my whole life growing up, (Boxer's mostly). We recently rescued a Alaskan husky from the animal shelter and a brand new puppy (bull mastiff and pit bull mix). I am very responsible and love to have your doggy come hang out with our duo while you are away. I have two boys (ages 16 and 13) at home as well that love to love on some doggies. We are an active family that plays soccer and if possible would take your dog with us to the parks for some park time, of course if this is okay with you. I want you to to have peace of mind and that you can count and rely on me when you are away.

About: Hi, I’m Kaeli, your pet’s new best friend. Thank you for visiting my page! A bit about my experience with pets… I’ve grown up with small pets and dogs and have 5 years of professional animal care experience. I’ve also fostered puppies, kittens, senior dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits… you name it! I am comfortable with pretty much anything with or without legs! 🙂 I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate your family’s schedule and pet routines. Whatever you need, just ask! We can figure it out. My own household is a brat pack of rescues—2 dogs, 3 cats, and 2 rabbits. They are spoiled… Some would say too spoiled 😆 While I’m not home with them, my husband holds down the fort. If you choose me, I’m confident your pets will feel safe, comfortable, and loved in my care. I treat them like my babies. Please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’d love to see if we would be a good fit!
About: I’m generally great with animals and I’ve been a cat mom for 3 years now so I’m quite good at making sure a pet is taken care of. I go the extra mile. And follow directions pretty well. Just finished pet CPR training. I’m relatively flexible but prefer to work in the morning because my other job is at night. Totally free Sundays. I have class Thursday evenings right now and I’m usually at the gun range Saturdays but all other days of the week, I’m flexible. I do a bit of traveling but I will block off those days or I’ll let you know if I’m not available on your requested days. Just let me know ahead of time and I’ll let you know of if I can accommodate your request. I prefer texting via the app as much as possible. I make sure to respect your cat’s space and that their needs are met. I feed pets as instructed. Give treats as necessary. Make sure they have adequate water.

“Jill is phenomenal! I have a very rambunctious 2 year old German Shepherd/Husky mix and she has been fantastic with her. Jill is conscious to reinforce our training with heeling and making sure my dog doesn't go crazy over squirrels. I would hire Jill over and over again.”
About: My older brother and I live together while I am in graduate school. I have a dog, Zoey, and with her being my only baby, we love bringing dogs in to play with her and join us on hikes and beach days! Darius and I are huge dog lovers with 4 years of experience taking care of fur babies! We both work mostly from home and am home all day on weekends. I am in graduate school, but those are evening classes, so I am able to give the dogs a full day of love and play and dinner before popping into class. My brother is home when I am not, but we are often home together with the dogs. Darius is more athletic than I am so he’ll run with the pups and I’m more here for fetch and cuddles 🥰 In the warmer months, I hike and go to the beach on weekends about once a month, but I always bring Zoey! I go with my friends (one has a senior dog and one wishes she had a dog) so I always have a helper if you are okay with your dog joining! My pictures show one of Zoey’s repeat besties who goes with me hiking, on trails, and to the beaches often! I am a mama bear for my dog and her safety and We make it our mission to do the same for yours! I have a fenced yard and on walks use a gentle lead so that she can’t get too far or choke. I monitor feedings and keep any ingestion-prone toys and objects away from all pets.
“Oreo and I so appreciate Amanda and Hector’s help during these beginning weeks of the new school year! I know Oreo looks forward to going on his lunch potty breaks with Hector where he can sniff to his heart’s content. 🐕 💜 🥰 We truly appreciate Hector’s flexibility when he comes a bit earlier some days due to the hotter weather or Oreo’s needs. We will definitely be requesting Amanda & Hector again!”

About: I’ve been a dog lover since I was a little kid! I had my first dog at 9 years old and she’s still with me today, my sweet, little cockapoo, Sakura! I’ve had years of experience, raising Sakura and watching over my own family’s dogs from time to time. Recently, my husband and I welcomed Yuki into our lives, a friendly and energetic labrador retriever. It’s been amazing to see how well he gets along with Sakura and other dogs he meets at the park. Training skills I have acquired are potty training, crate training, various commands, and leash training. Excited to meet your fur babies!! I am a full time grad student, so I have the flexibility of being available during my break from classes! I am mainly available Monday-Thursdays after 1pm & Fridays-Sundays all day! I will meet your pets’ physical and mental stimulation through walks and play time. I will make sure they are well fed, have plenty of water, take them outside for potty breaks, and give them lots of snuggles!!

She spends most her time outside, but sleeps inside at night.
“McKenzi was the primary walker for my sweet girl, Olivia, for over a year and she was by far the most reliable walker that I had. She is amazing at communicating well in advance when she isn’t able to walk her so I can plan accordingly. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of a walker, you won’t regret picking her!!!”

About: I have taken care of my husky malamute mix for over 8 years. Because of him, I’ve learned to look after a large, stubborn dog who is difficult to control. As a result, I have to ability to handle unexpected scenarios. I love working with all dogs and as usually as excited as they are to play and go for walks :) I’m mostly available evenings during the week or very early in the morning, while on weekends I have a lot of availability. I’m an engineering student at UC Davis, and I’m involved on campus and in the local community. I want to help you and your dog, and I can promise lots of communication with you and lots of love for your dog.
“Have had Isabella dog walking service for a few months now, and I am still thrilled with her service! She's super attentive for my pup and I've seen such a growth in independence and potty training since having her. Thanks a million again, Isabella!”

About: I’m an experienced pet sitter with over 10 years of hands-on care for dogs, cats, and small animals. I specialize in in-home pet sitting and house sitting, which means your pets get to stay comfortable in their own space while you’re away. I’m especially good with pets who are sensitive, older, shy, or used to a calm routine. I pay close attention to instructions, schedules, and small details—feeding, medications, walks, and home care are all handled carefully and respectfully. While I’m not able to board pets in my own home, I’m very reliable for overnight stays, extended trips, and daily check-ins. I treat every home as if it were my own and every pet as if they were family.. My children and I started watching dogs in 2013 as a way for them to have the experience of having a furry friend and the responsibility it teaches. Over the years we have had the pleasure of bonding with regulars (the dogs, cats and sometimes the people too!) learning about breed specific tendencies and characteristics and have and continue to enjoy having the furry guests stay with us. My kids have since grown up and moved out on their own. Restless in my empty nest I have moved on. As such my house is no longer available for boarding. However, I am continuing to house sit which I started doing about a year or so prior to having doggy guests. I am also available for drop in visits and walking services. Feel free to contact me with any questions! Cheers! My schedule is flexible and allows me to adapt to your pet’s existing routine so their day stays as normal and predictable as possible. I prioritize consistency with feeding times, walks, medications, and companionship. Because I focus on house sitting and drop-in visits, I’m able to give pets unrushed attention and maintain the rhythm they’re used to with their owners. I provide care in your home so pets can remain in their familiar environment, which helps reduce stress and anxiety. I follow all care instructions closely and keep a clean, respectful presence in your home. I’m very reliable for overnight stays, extended trips, and daily check-ins. I treat every home with care and every pet as if they were my own, prioritizing safety, calm handling, and clear communication with you while you’re away.

About: I'm a lifelong dog and cat lover, and I’ve cared for pets from their youngest, most rambunctious years to wise seniors needing slower days. One of my own dogs started out extremely anxious, so I’m also experienced with shy or nervous pets who need calm, gentle care, and maybe a few treats to help the process along ;) I'm also up to raise my heartrate a little jogging, going on long walks, or playing tug-of-war with younger bubs who want a bit more excitement. What I Can Do for Your Pets: - Handle larger/stronger pups (my own are both pitties with lots of energy that I walk on a dual-lead leash) - Administer meds & monitor health - Long walks, playtime, and enrichment fun - Puppy, kitten, and senior care - Multi-pet household management - Work through reactivity & behavior support - Build trust and confidence in nervous pets I’d love to give your pets the same patient, loving care I give my own! Hope to hear from you soon :) I work remotely with flex-time, so my schedule is quite adaptable. I can make most times work to bring the best care to your babies! I focus on keeping pets safe, happy, and comfortable in their own home. In past experiences watching friends' animals, following each pet’s routine for feeding, walks, playtime, and any medications has helped them feel secure and well cared for. I give shy or anxious pets plenty of space and patience, avoiding overwhelm and encouraging a calm and confidence in their space. Despite how well we try to prepare ourselves, I know leaving your furry friends in the care of relative strangers can be an emotionally taxing experience. That's why I really enjoy keeping pet parents updated with notes and pictures about walks, play, meals, and behavior, so they can relax knowing their pets are happy and loved. I also enjoy taking dogs on long walks around neighborhoods, local parks, or even along the river, fitting into whatever their routine is or you as the owner would like it to be, of course. My own dogs and I have been working through their reactivity training with a clicker and training treats. I'm no expert, but they have come a long way since we started! If you have a reactive dog, rest easy knowing this isn't new to me and that I'm willing to work with them and follow your lead on whatever it is they need in those moments. Regardless of their background, every pet in my care gets patience, love, and a reassuring presence <3

“Jessica is amazing! She has walked our 2 dogs for us when we’ve been away on a couple of occasions now and she’s done a great job every time. Our dogs can be a bit difficult to handle (one is very reactive and the other can be nervous, both can be unsure about strangers) and she handled them with ease and they’re very happy to see her now. She went above and beyond, and even spent some extra time hanging out with them. I would highly recommend her!”
About: I have had dogs (and cats) my entire life. Trained, love and traveled across the US with my animals in tow with me. We currently have two dogs, Ozzy & Bear. I am retired and love to garden, travel and play with our dogs! We moved back to the Sacramento Area recently and would like to do something fun and thought pet sitting would fit perfect. No pet sitting at our house. Animals need to be in their own environment where it is safe and they are comfortable with their own toys & bed.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
