About: I have had experience in dog sitting and walking puppies! I have always wanted a dog but just do not have the room for it at home so pet sitting for friends has always been something I have loved doing! Currently, I am working part-time and I am a college student. However, my shifts are never longer than 4 hours. My services are available all week! I make sure to care for pets with as much love as I can! Seeing a stranger come into your home can be daunting so I try to be as graceful as possible when meeting and interacting with the clients pets!
About: I’ve provided a loving home for non human kids for over 20 years. I treat mine and those trusted to me with love, attention, respect, and care. I work from home so I am always available and very hands on. I currently work from home with a flexible schedule so I can tend to the furry kids. I have time for play, walks and rubs. I have a doggy door and very secure fencing for free roaming. I can offer 15 minute walks as often as necessary or 45 minute walks every 5 hours.
About: I've always loved helping with dog-sitting and watching friends' and family's dogs. My experience includes working with small and large breeds, as well as puppies and senior dogs. I have recently trained our puppy to follow commands, go on long and short walks, and socialize with other dogs. Taking care of a senior dog required extra attention and consideration to meet their needs, such as giving medications, carrying them to the yard when needed to go to the bathroom, and being aware of their health needs. I always make sure to fulfill the needs of the dogs and the owners' requests. This allows people to rely on me to take good care of their pets. Currently studying at Sac. State, but with free time and an open schedule for the summer, leaving me plenty of time to take care of pets. During the school year, I am also available during the week and on weekends. I have a good-sized backyard with grass and plenty of space for multiple dogs to play and run around. I have a dog who is well socialized and enjoys playing with others. I have trained my dog to follow commands, go on walks, and is potty trained. I also have a large crate if needed.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs & cats before for friends and family, I also take care of my own! They’re my whole world! Your fur babies are my top priority I currently work at Sutter Health 4-5 days a week, I am able to care for your fur babies before & after work. I’m almost always available weekends 24/7! I will always make sure there are no windows / doors open or unlocked so your pets cannot get out. Along with making sure no food is accessible for them to get into easily.
“I couldn’t be happier with the care Valeria provided for my dogs! Valeria sent regular updates, photos, and even a few fun videos—such a thoughtful touch that made a huge difference. She is very responsible, attentive and trustworthy!!”

About: Besides having and enjoying my own pets, I have been a pet sitter for several years as well as various veterinarians’ assistant and kennel attendant. I am a self employed licensed esthetician, so I am available to set my own schedule. I am looking forward spending time with pet clients. While caring for your pet I am very happy to follow your specific instructions in order to meet your pets’ needs and enhance their well being and safety.
About: I’m patient, reliable, and very attentive to each pet’s individual personality and routine. I understand that every animal has different comfort levels, energy needs, and habits, so I focus on creating a calm, safe environment where pets feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I’m comfortable with puppies, senior pets, shy or anxious animals, feeding schedules, crate routines, medications, and detailed care instructions. I also prioritize communication and send regular updates and photos so owners always know how their pets are doing. What sets me apart most is the amount of attention and care I give each pet. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, building trust with them, and making sure they feel safe, relaxed, and loved. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine because I currently spend most of my time at home helping care for my elderly grandparents and being present with them during this stage of life. I also have caregivers who regularly come in and out when needed, which gives me flexibility in my schedule. Getting out of the house, going on walks, and spending time with animals genuinely brings me joy and balance. Caring for pets is something I truly enjoy, not just a job to me. I love being able to give animals attention, companionship, exercise, and comfort while also helping owners feel confident that their pets are in good hands. I prioritize creating a calm, safe, and comfortable environment for every pet in my care, whether I’m in a client’s home or caring for them during walks and visits. I pay close attention to routines, feeding instructions, medications, leash safety, and each pet’s individual personality and comfort level.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and pets of all kinds for over 2 years. I started pet sitting at a young age for neighbors, friends, and family, and it quickly became something people regularly relied on me for. I have experience walking, feeding, bathing, playing with, and giving lots of love and attention to pets of all sizes and personalities. I’m very patient, dependable, and detail-oriented, and I always make sure to follow each pet’s routine and care instructions exactly as given. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away, so I treat every pet like they’re my own. I’m comfortable caring for energetic dogs, shy or anxious pets, and senior animals who may need a little extra patience and care. I’m also comfortable following medication and special care routines if needed. I always make sure pet parents receive updates and photos so they can feel confident their pets are in good hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I plan my schedule around my responsibilities, which allows me to be consistent, reliable, and flexible when it comes to visits, feedings, playtime, and check-ins. Since I’m already used to caring for my own cat, Selene, daily pet care is a normal part of my life. I make sure every pet gets the time and attention they need, whether that’s scheduled drop-in visits, feeding, litter box cleaning, playtime, or just spending time keeping them company. I’m very organized and good at sticking to routines, so following each pet’s specific care instructions and schedule is never a problem for me. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I carefully follow all feeding, medication, and care instructions, and make sure litter boxes are cleaned, water is refreshed, and the home is left tidy. I make sure each animal gets the right balance of playtime, affection, and calm companionship depending on their personality. I always move at their pace, especially with shy or anxious fur babies, and never force interaction. My goal is to make every animal feel safe, comfortable, and secure in their own environment while their owner is away. I also send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your fur baby is being well cared for.
“Summer was great with my dog Layla! She is regularly coming for walks/visits and I am very pleased with how it is going. Summer is very responsive and caring - she works great with my dog who is timid!”

“I couldn't be more pleased with Benjamin's exceptional dog walking services. He walked my beloved dog, Ty Chi, for a week twice a day, and the care and attention he provides are truly outstanding. From the very first walk, it was evident that Benjamin has a genuine passion for dogs. He takes the time to understand my dog's unique needs and personality, ensuring that Ty Chi always feels comfortable and happy. Benjamin's care for details is remarkable—he meticulously follows all instructions regarding Ty Chi's specific needs. He even takes the time to update me with photos and notes after each walk, which I greatly appreciate. Punctuality is another one of Benjamin's strengths. He has never missed a scheduled walk and always arrives on time, ready to give Ty Chi the exercise and attention he needs. This reliability gives me peace of mind, knowing that my dog is in capable and trustworthy hands. What truly sets Benjamin apart is his attention to detail. He notices the little things that make a big difference, such as adjusting the leash to ensure Ty Chi's comfort to make the walk even more enjoyable. His thoughtful approach shows how much he cares about the dogs he walks. I highly recommend Benjamin to anyone in need of a dog walker who is not only professional and reliable but also genuinely cares about the well-being of your pet. Ty Chi and I are incredibly grateful for Benjamin's outstanding service and look forward to many more walks together!”

About: I have the sweetest red Golden retriever since August 2023, and had a family Beagle growing up. Now between my parents and sister and myself, there are four Golden retrievers, so I've been around the sweet breed for a few years. In the past few years, I've had multiple roommates with multiple dogs of different breeds that I would walk and petsit. I have a fairly flexible schedule, so I'm typically available for morning, lunch, and evening walks, and also will be available on most weekend afternoons. I will keep your dog on leash and in safe areas, away from cars and unfamiliar dogs. I will follow any and all guidance given on how to best handle your dog.

I can't recommend Catarina enough. She's incredibly conscientious — always on time, always communicative, and it's clear she genuinely cares about the dogs she walks. My dog Hazel absolutely adores her, which says everything. If you want someone reliable, dependable, and truly great with animals, look no further.

Michelle has been a great walker and care taker for our two pups. They are always happy after walks with her and she takes great lengths to ensure the dogs are taken care of. Michelle is a great pet care taker, and great human being as well. She’s kind, mindful and patient, as well as professional. Will always recommend her to anyone for walks!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
