“This was our second time working with Jena while we were away on vacation. As she has done in the past, she took amazing care of our dog Addy, and shared daily pictures and updates. I would absolutely work with Jena again!”

About: Hi, I’m Jess! I worked as a veterinary technician assistant for 5 years and have cared for animals my entire life. I’ve owned and cared for dogs and cats so I’m comfortable with a wide variety of pets and their individual needs. I understand how important it is to leave your pets with someone you trust. Whether your pet needs a walk, drop-in visit, or overnight care, I’ll make sure they’re safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. My schedule is flexible and varies from week to week, so I keep my availability updated regularly. This allows me to accommodate a variety of visit times, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends depending on the week. I’m happy to discuss scheduling in advance to make sure I’m a good fit for your pet’s routine and care needs. I respect my clients’ homes and routines and will treat your space with the same care I would my own. I understand the importance of reliability, clear communication, and keeping pets secure while you’re away. I’ll provide updates and photos during visits so you can have peace of mind knowing your pets are safe and well cared for.
“LIsa was very easy to communicate with and took great care of our 2 dogs. Our youngest is a rescue pup and she is skittish so this was the first time we had someone take care of her and having Lisa was a huge peace of mind for us. We will definitely rebook with her again.”

“Andrea & Ryan took great care of our kitty while we were away for a many more days than we usually are. It was our first time having them take care of our kitty as our usual sitter was unavailable. We were very happy receiving the daily visit and picture updates and communication overall was great so we knew how all was going and then had no worries. Upon our return we found our kitty was so happy, looking great and all around the home was well in order. Thank you very much, Ryan and Andrea for the excellent Rover care.”

About: I personally I’ve owned two cats and a dog and I’ve baby sat dogs for 7 years total and pets make me happy. I feel personally as a pet parent it is hard really to travel when you don’t have a sitter so I become a pet sitter so everyone can have a the opportunity to travel and not put their life on hold due to their pets. To better care for your furry companions and for My comfort , a meet and greet will need to be initiated prior to accepting booking. I’m available Saturday late evening until 9 pm I’m available all 7 days of the week , with Sunday I will start at 1 pm. I live in a gated community with a park designed to walk your dog , the neighborhood is very dog friendly or animal friendly nothing to worry about .
“Lindsey was AMAZING! I get extremely bad anxiety letting anyone watch my dog (even close friends) and she put my mind completely at ease. My pup was incredibly happy when I got home and I could tell she had such a good day. I cannot thank you enough ?”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and pets of all kinds for over 2 years. I started pet sitting at a young age for neighbors, friends, and family, and it quickly became something people regularly relied on me for. I have experience walking, feeding, bathing, playing with, and giving lots of love and attention to pets of all sizes and personalities. I’m very patient, dependable, and detail-oriented, and I always make sure to follow each pet’s routine and care instructions exactly as given. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away, so I treat every pet like they’re my own. I’m comfortable caring for energetic dogs, shy or anxious pets, and senior animals who may need a little extra patience and care. I’m also comfortable following medication and special care routines if needed. I always make sure pet parents receive updates and photos so they can feel confident their pets are in good hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I plan my schedule around my responsibilities, which allows me to be consistent, reliable, and flexible when it comes to visits, feedings, playtime, and check-ins. Since I’m already used to caring for my own cat, Selene, daily pet care is a normal part of my life. I make sure every pet gets the time and attention they need, whether that’s scheduled drop-in visits, feeding, litter box cleaning, playtime, or just spending time keeping them company. I’m very organized and good at sticking to routines, so following each pet’s specific care instructions and schedule is never a problem for me. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I carefully follow all feeding, medication, and care instructions, and make sure litter boxes are cleaned, water is refreshed, and the home is left tidy. I make sure each animal gets the right balance of playtime, affection, and calm companionship depending on their personality. I always move at their pace, especially with shy or anxious fur babies, and never force interaction. My goal is to make every animal feel safe, comfortable, and secure in their own environment while their owner is away. I also send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your fur baby is being well cared for.
“Summer was great walking our two dogs when we needed her last minute. She was also super flexible and quick to respond. We appreciated the detailed updates and photos! Will use her again!”
About: I’m patient, reliable, and very attentive to each pet’s individual personality and routine. I understand that every animal has different comfort levels, energy needs, and habits, so I focus on creating a calm, safe environment where pets feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I’m comfortable with puppies, senior pets, shy or anxious animals, feeding schedules, crate routines, medications, and detailed care instructions. I also prioritize communication and send regular updates and photos so owners always know how their pets are doing. What sets me apart most is the amount of attention and care I give each pet. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, building trust with them, and making sure they feel safe, relaxed, and loved. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine because I currently spend most of my time at home helping care for my elderly grandparents and being present with them during this stage of life. I also have caregivers who regularly come in and out when needed, which gives me flexibility in my schedule. Getting out of the house, going on walks, and spending time with animals genuinely brings me joy and balance. Caring for pets is something I truly enjoy, not just a job to me. I love being able to give animals attention, companionship, exercise, and comfort while also helping owners feel confident that their pets are in good hands. I prioritize creating a calm, safe, and comfortable environment for every pet in my care, whether I’m in a client’s home or caring for them during walks and visits. I pay close attention to routines, feeding instructions, medications, leash safety, and each pet’s individual personality and comfort level.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Rocklin
Even though my cat is extremely shy and didn’t come out during either visit, Sadie made a wonderful impression. She has a warm, easygoing personality, followed all instructions, and went above and beyond by checking for and bringing in packages. Her updates were thoughtful and reassuring, and I felt confident my cat was safe and cared for the whole time. We will definitely book her again.

Deanna was amazing! My cats fell in love with her and looked forward to her visits. She was loving, sweet, and gentle with my cats. She communicated with me very well and I have nothing but amazing things to say about her. She's definitely my go to kitty sitter from now on =] Thank you so much, Deanna!

Gloria is a very kind and friendly person. When I first met her, I found her to be engaging, thoughtful, and genuinely interested in getting to know my cats. During her stay, she took the time to seek out one of my kitties who tends to hide until she’s comfortable with someone and gave both cats treats and playtime, which I really appreciated. It seems Gloria may still be gaining experience as a sitter, and with that in mind, I think she’ll continue to grow her skills over time. The main challenge during this stay was timing for the morning visits. I had requested that breakfast visits take place between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m., as my cats are always eager to eat at that time. Gloria’s visits were a bit later in the morning (around 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.) during the first two days. After I reached out on the second day, she kindly agreed to adjust and did arrive by 9:00 a.m. on one of the three remaining days. I also would have loved if she had given the kitties a bit of outdoor time in our enclosed courtyard, especially since she mentioned in her updates that they seemed interested in going outside. Overall, Gloria has a caring nature and a genuine love for animals. With a little more attention to timing, I believe she’ll continue to develop into a wonderful sitter. I wish her all the best as she continues to build her experience.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
