“Sarah did a great job taking care of my kitty! The pictures showed how comfortable my cat was having Sarah come over and spend time with her while I was away.”

“Ben took excellent care of my spicy kitten who wanted nothing to do with him. He is a soft spoken gentleman who eventually got her to trust him enough to play with him, even though there were soft hisses of protest when he tried to pet her, she didn’t run away. So if she was truly upset she would have been gone. I’ll have him back for sure to keep an eye on her and her separation anxiety at bay.”

“Dale took great care of our cats - she was prompt, thoughtful of them, thorough in following instructions and took excellent photos of them during her visits! I would work with Dale again for any animal care.”

“Michelle is such a trusting and genuine individual. She is very quick to respond and always available. She has a true love for animals and connects with them so well. She always sends me fun photos of her playing with my fur babies. I feel so comfortable with her taking care of my babies! ”

“It was my 1st time using Rover, so simple and great maps to see where the sitters/walkers are in your area. It was nice meeting Lynn ahead of her visits. She did a great job taking care of my little kitty Missy. Receiving the pics each day was great. I will use Rover again in the future and hope Lynn will be available again. Thank you!”

About: I’ve been taking care of cats for 35 years. Growing up, we always had at least 2-4 cats as pets. Some were rescues and some adopted us. I’ve been Pet sitting other people’s cats and dogs, and house sitting since 2013. I’m open to caring for other animal species, though I don’t have experience with them. I currently care for an elderly black lab for a couple weekends out of the month. I feed him, we play, take walks, and I give him lots of ear scratches and massages. My experience with dogs has been taking care of other people’s dogs; friends, friends of friends, and roommates’ dogs. I see pets, particularly dogs, as teachers of unconditional love. It amazes me that they seem to instantly love you the moment they meet you and forgive with ease. How I care for my own pet My current kitty and family member is Buddy (King Buddy his Royal Sweetness). I’ve had him since 2020. I’m unsure of his age because he was a rescue. I provide him a nourishing environment with his special rugs, and hiding places. I make him a fort cave in the bed everyday. We have Lots of play time and he has a big backyard to play and sunbathe. He gets Plenty of cuddles throughout the day, and I feed him a high quality diet. I strive to understand his behaviors and communications to the best of my abilities. Through research, close attention, and noticing patterns, I feel confident in understanding his needs in the moment and why he behaves the way he does. I’m interested and open minded to finding ways I can make his life even more enjoyable. I work part time from home so my schedule is very flexible. I am available anytime 8:30am-8pm everyday. For 1-2 weekends of the month I am out of town, but which weekends I leave is also flexible. I will update my calendar regularly. For the month of February, I am keeping my rates low to start off. Care includes; feeding, walking, playing, cleaning up pet messes, cuddles and sending you photos. I am currently unavailable to walk large dogs under one year if they are not well trained. I am open to giving medication, though my only experience with it is putting it on food. I offer additional support such as plant watering, putting out the weekly trash, and mail retrieval. I love and appreciate all animals. I will care for your pet/s as you would care for them. I value respecting your boundaries for your pets and your home. I Always make sure your home is safe and secure upon leaving. As someone who has experience hiring pet sitters, I know that communication, consistency, and trust are top priority.

“Had a great experience with Jacob, he took good care of our fur baby and provided pictures with every visit. Also kept good communication and responded quickly.”

“Allie and JoJo were the purrrrfect helpers for our cats, they communicated clearly and even provided “proof of life” photos for us to see our girls were doing okay. We would absolutely book with them again!”

About: I have over 20 years experience with owning, fostering, and rescuing animals. Feel comfortable knowing that your baby is in good hands. I have experience with special needs, elderly, and wee pups. Every pet is special and unique and I will do my very best to tend to their specific needs. I work full time but able to check in on and care for animals before 6 a.m. and after 3 p.m. As needed, I can drive locally on my lunch to give potty breaks. I have a partially fenced in yard. Dogs are allowed on a long lead while I'm in the garden to monitor them. In their own space, we will go for walks as needed and fed to their routine.

About: I am passionate about all animals as they bring so much joy and beauty into the world. I believe we are here to take care of each other. I feel it's important to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for all animals. Pet owners new to Rover will receive $20 off of your first booking with me! Use Promo Code: SANDYK07916. I work from home three days a week and commute to the office twice. No matter the day, my pups are top priority. From morning to bedtime, they are fed fresh, home cooked meals, access to clean, filtered water with bowls washed daily, including daily walks, daily grooming, daily snuggles, and bedtime sleeping on a comfy king size bed. When I'm out running errands, I have a fenced yard with access to use the potty through doggy doors, which can be locked if needed. Pups always have fresh, clean filtered water. I don't use any harsh chemicals for cleaning my floors and my entire house. I always keep them leashed on their walks. On longer excursions, I bring a stroller for my shih tzu, who sometimes cannot keep up with me and my golden retriever. This is a large stroller that can fit several small dogs comfortably if needed, and they can be leashed onto the stroller. I always pack water and snacks for the pups on stroller rides. After every outing, all dogs are looked over for any stickers, thorns, etc. If needed, I wash necessary areas. My pups, Archie (golden retriever) and Tater (shih-tzu) have excellent temperaments and very much enjoy playing with other pups. If you have a senior dog, or a dog that has less energy, Archie & Tater understand and give them what they need. If you have a high energy pup that just wants to play nonstop, Archie & Tater will definitely play and wear your pup out! Every day, I try to follow Caeser Milan's teaching: exercise, discipline and affection, in that order.

“Elizabeth was amazing with my in-law’s cats during a very difficult time for our family. My in-laws live 3 hours from family and we’re both in the hospital for a lengthy stay. Elizabeth’s compassion, professional and loving care of Mickey and Harley gave the family peace during a stressful time. We highly recommend Elizabeth for your pet family care.”

About: Hello! Ive been living with and around dogs my entire life, and live on a farm currently. I adopted my first cat about 8 years ago and he truly opened my eyes to the love I have for kitties too. I'm an esthetician in my day-to-day life which allows me to make my own schedule. Im flexible in hours. I am only part-time doing that. I have a particular love for really big or really small dogs that love snuggles. With making my own schedule as an esthetician, I'm able to have most hours open or scheduled for availability if needed. I can also pop out in between clients to check on your animals. I am only 3 to 4 days a week at that job and the other day I can be fully present and available. I have a very reliable vehicle as well as general training with how to interact with other dogs and people during walks and activities. I have no problem sharing a bed with your pet, however, I cannot provide boarding. I'm more than happy to travel to your home anywhere from Grass valley to elk Grove. Treats, loves, cuddles, praise, commands, training, are all things I'm happy to provide. I can be as involved as you would like or as little as needed.

9. Jessica A.

“Jessica has taken care of my 7 month old Ridgeback mix for 4 months now. Sunny spends four days a week with Jessica and her two dogs Kaia and Finn while I'm at work. She LOVES her Aunt Jess and spends so much time running around and playing with Finn and Kaia that by the time I come to pick her up she's exhausted. Not a bad thing since I'm usually feeling the same. Jessica also includes Sunny in Kaia and Finn's training sessions. Her love for animals and particularly dogs is heartwarming and reassuring. I definitely hit the jackpot here. Thanks Jess!”

She is reliable, efficient and definitely devoted, demonstrating enormous love and compassion for all animals.”
