“Ashley & Collin always do so well with my pit bull. We have hired them many times to care for our home and dog. Our dog can be a bit anxious the first day or so, but they are patient with him. They send lots of pictures, play with and snuggle him, and always clean up after themselves. We appreciate you guys! See you next time.”

About: I've had cats and dogs since 2017 and have been pet sitting for neighbors, family, and friends since I was a kid, all whose pets have had a wide variety of needs and personalities. I am currently home from college for the summer with no commitments that are not flexible, so I'm available to take care of pups and kitties pretty much whenever! I prioritize creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for every pet in my care. Since I provide care in clients' homes, I do my best to maintain each pet's normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats and understand that every animal has unique needs and personalities. I pay close attention to your pet and provide updates to ensure owners feel confident that their pets are happy and well cared for.

“Omg thank u soooo much Deanna. My dogs were in such good moods when I came home- soft and happy! Thank you for taking care of everything 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 one of my boys needs extra behavioral attention on walks. Deanna was fantastic. I highly recommend. She’s a gem!!!!”

“A week before our trip our family member cancelled watching our 3 dogs and home. We panicked! I remembered seeing Jennifer’s dog sitting ad on Facebook. I downloaded Rover on my phone and set up my account. I looked all through Rover till I found her. She immediately contacted me back and we set up a meet and greet to see how she was around the dogs. She was great, very sweet and caring with our pups! We hired her through Rover which was a very easy process. She sent updates with pictures throughout the weekend. They even all ate their dinners for her which is a challenge for my Yorkie and Havanese. I greatly appreciated the updates and pictures throughout the trip. I would highly recommend Jenifer for the love and care of your pets while you’re away. She’s trustworthy, dependable, and awesome communication.”

“Tatjana was great! She provided updates each day and had a calm energy which is helpful for our anxious dog. I felt he was in good hands. And she was very responsive. Thanks for taking care of our Charlie boy!”

“Shelby was absolutely incredible as our dog sitter. She went above and beyond for us and for our pups in every possible way. Not only was she attentive, communicative, and genuinely caring, but she also stuck with us through what seemed like the worst luck imaginable all week long. Despite facing some fears and dealing with a string of unexpected challenges, Shelby never once gave up or made us feel like our dogs were anything less than her priority. Her patience, resilience, and kindness truly stood out. Knowing our dogs were safe, loved, and cared for so thoughtfully gave us so much peace of mind. It’s rare to find someone so dependable and compassionate. Shelby handled everything with grace, heart, and professionalism, and we are beyond grateful she stayed and saw everything through. We would trust her again in a heartbeat and cannot recommend her highly enough. 🩷”

“This was our first time using Rover and obviously our first experience with Fallon. She came for the meet and greet in a timely manner and was eager to listen to instructions and friendly. We were only gone for a day but she took great care of our two large dogs during that time. She was flexible with her time and accommodating. We would definitely use her again! Thanks!”

“I recently had the pleasure of hiring Samantha to look after my senior buddy, Buster, a cantankerous old soul who generally isn't fond of strangers. To say that I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional care provided by Samantha would be an understatement. What truly set Samantha apart was her patience and attentiveness. Recognizing the quirks of my aging Buster, she took the time to learn his habits, preferences, and, most importantly, his boundaries. Rather than forcing interaction, she let Buster set the pace, gradually earning his trust with each passing day. She kept me up to date with pictures and communication, she also took exceptional care of our home.”

About: I have had experience in dog sitting and walking puppies! I have always wanted a dog but just do not have the room for it at home so pet sitting for friends has always been something I have loved doing! Currently, I am working part-time and I am a college student. However, my shifts are never longer than 4 hours. My services are available all week! I make sure to care for pets with as much love as I can! Seeing a stranger come into your home can be daunting so I try to be as graceful as possible when meeting and interacting with the clients pets!
“Lez did a wonderful job cat and house sitting while we were out of town for the week. There was easy communication via text while we were away. Our senior cat enjoyed her company and care. We returned to a well kept home and we wouldn’t hesitate to use Lez’s services again.”

“Reagan is seriously amazing. She went above and beyond watching our dogs and made us feel relaxed on vacation knowing that they were being loved. Kept us updated the entire trip, and upon return the dogs and house looked great. She house sat for us for two weeks and took care of two dogs so she can handle both dog and house sitting. I would recommended her to anyone and she will be our go to dog sitter forever.”

“Carla stayed with my dog and cat for a weekend while I was out of town. I was worried about leaving my girls for the first time, but Carla was fabulous! My girls were happy and well cared for, which made being away so much easier. I’d definitely book Carla again!!”

“Nicole is very responsible, and respectful. This is our first time having her at the house with our Addie dog, we have booked her for an upcoming longer trip, and there’s no doubt she will do a great job! Thanks Nicole.”

“Ben took excellent care of my spicy kitten who wanted nothing to do with him. He is a soft spoken gentleman who eventually got her to trust him enough to play with him, even though there were soft hisses of protest when he tried to pet her, she didn’t run away. So if she was truly upset she would have been gone. I’ll have him back for sure to keep an eye on her and her separation anxiety at bay.”

“Christina took great care of our fur babies while we were out of town getting married! We have never had someone stay in our home to take care of our animals besides family and there were no issues.”

“Johnna house-sat for us while we were away at a memorial service in Los Angeles, and she took care of both our cat and dog, and our house. She was fabulous. She went above and beyond, as usual. It is lovely to have someone so trustworthy take care of our home while we are away. I cannot recommend her highly enough.”

“This was our first time using Rover, and finding Bryce truly made a difference. Our three dogs have very distinct personalities, and it was impressive to see each one warm up to him. Typically, our dogs bark at new people, but Bryce’s calm and confident demeanor kept them relaxed and non-reactive. He made them feel safe and cared for, which means a lot to us. We also appreciated the daily pictures and updates, which gave us peace of mind, and he left our home just as we had left it. Without a doubt, we will continue to rely on Bryce for our pet care needs.”

Had Bryce stay at our house for a long weekend to take care of our 2 dogs and 2 cats. He was very communicative the whole time, sent lots of pictures, and when we returned home, the house was clean and everything was just the way we had left it. We have had poor help in the past, but Bryce really set our minds at ease with the service he provided. We would welcome him to care for our home and furry kids any time!

Deanna did a fantabulous job taking care of our four-legged fur babies and house while we were out of town! Great communicator, (responded quickly and thoroughly to sit request, and sent pictures and let me know the puppies were doing well throughout the stay); arrived on time for both meet and greet and the day we left; followed complicated feeding and supplement giving directions, as well as how to avoid getting skunked protocols!; kept the house tidy and clean; and both dogs loved being with her! Highly recommend Deanna and will hire her again and again if she agrees!

Sophia was amazing My dogs were treated as if they were her own She has a Natural gift as both my dogs related to her immediately She was very prompt in arrival and extremely courteous and kind by sending us photos while we were gone and keeping us abreast of every situation We trusted her 100% with our home and our dogs and we couldn’t be happier I highly recommend her as she is probably one of the best dog sitters you might find

Linzi and her family were wonderful hosts to my dogs Lucy and Georgie! Linzi sent me pictures just about daily of the dogs exploring their property and/or hanging out with the fam, and it was clear my pups were loving their visit - plus they got along great with their dogs! Very highly recommend and will definitely call on them in the future

We told Emma we should be back by 9, 10 at the latest. We car pooled to dinner with another couple and long story short, dinner ran long and we didn't get home until almost 11. We asked Emma if running late would be OK and she was so accommodating. She was great with our little guy and we are so happy to have a trustworthy option to watch our frenchie. 5 stars all the way. Would highly recommend.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Loomis on Rover is $53.5 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 2,555 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Loomis. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Loomis walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Loomis maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Loomis choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Loomis. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
