“I adopted my large breed dog from the shelter, after he had lost his home of 7 years due to no fault of his. I had been told he howled all the first night in the shelter. When it was time for us to go out of town, I did a test board at a small boarder, thinking it would be less traumatic than a regular kennel, but he had a full-scale panic attack. The boarder suggested a home sitter. The first person we interviewed for a home sitter didn't work out, not a good match. What interested me in Caja was her experience in behavioral techniques, which I had found worked really well with our dog in helping him be calm and relaxed. After meeting Caja, our dog loved her. He behaved as if she were our daughter, who is away at college. Calm, in charge, playful, everything he loves. Caja took excellent care of our dog and cat, and we were so happy our dog was relaxed in his own home. I also found Caja receptive to hearing what behavioral techniques we used, and in reviewing the Halti collar we use with our dog. I will call Caja first whenever we next need a house sitter. We totally trust her with our house and pets. It was very easy to keep in touch with texting for status checks.”

About: Hey! I recently moved our family to Rocklin. After taking a 2-year break from Rover to bond with our little one, I'm ready to get back out for walks, visits, or overnight care with your fur friends 🐱🐶. I’ve had one dog-o in my life; Bula who was my childhood pet. About: I am very comfortable with animals. I have a deep love and affection for them. I will learn their routines, needs and any other nuances. I am working part time. Mostly mornings. Thankfully my schedule is flexible. I am starting school online soon, as long as I have my laptop, I can go anywhere. I am unable to host animals. I have two senior cats at home who have become very needy in their old age! About: I’ve been caring for pets in my neighborhood since I was 12. From dogs and cats to bearded dragons, fish, chameleons, leopard geckos, rabbits, and hamsters; I’ve looked after all kinds of animals. If I ever encounter a pet I haven’t cared for before, I make sure to thoroughly attend to and research their needs so they stay safe, healthy, and happy. On the weekends, I like to go to the local SPCA in my hometown and visit with the animals. I have always had a lot for caring for animals and that’s not going to stop today. I have a very open/flexible schedule this summer. I will fit my visits to you! And if I can’t make it work, I will be up front with that. When taking care of a pet my first line of action is making sure the pet is familiar with me. So I introduce myself slow and steady. I will do that every time I encounter the pet until they are comfortable with me. Once I’ve built a rapport with the pet, I love to play with them or pet them, whatever the animal is comfortable with and wants.

Jessica is an excellent and conscientious pet sitter. She cared for my needy dog and elderly cat with love and compassion. The house was kept in pristine condition, even though it rained a lot of her visit (no muddy paw tracks left behind!). I highly recommend her and would definitely have her back.

Linzi sent me pictures just about daily of the dogs exploring their property and/or hanging out with the fam, and it was clear my pups were loving their visit - plus they got along great with their dogs! Taylor was incredible. She took exceptional care of our dog, Blu, and our home while we were away. She kept us updated with photos and messages, which gave us total peace of mind, and it was obvious how much love and attention she gave him. Blu was so happy to see us, but we could tell he had an amazing time with her. She left the house spotless, was communicative, thoughtful, and genuinely cared about making sure everything went smoothly. We’d gladly have her back anytime and can’t recommend her highly enough. If you have the chance to book her—do it.
Kiara was wonderful! Our regular sitter cancelled last minute and she was able to watch our house and 95 lb German Shepherd with less than a week’s notice. She was prompt in her replies and provided us pictures and updates throughout our vacation. When we got back our house was tidy and our dog was happy, definitely recommend her!
Danni went above and beyond in taking care of my puppy during our first weekend trip away. I truly was able to relax knowing she was in good hands, as Danni is both experienced with dogs and very nurturing. I also really appreciated how she agreed to sit on such short notice, even July 4th nonetheless. She even generously cleaned up a few things at my home.
