About: I have had experience in dog sitting and walking puppies! I have always wanted a dog but just do not have the room for it at home so pet sitting for friends has always been something I have loved doing! Currently, I am working part-time and I am a college student. However, my shifts are never longer than 4 hours. My services are available all week! I make sure to care for pets with as much love as I can! Seeing a stranger come into your home can be daunting so I try to be as graceful as possible when meeting and interacting with the clients pets!
“I was thrilled with the gentle care Myung provided for our mixed-pack of dogs while we had a family reunion trip. I was confident that the dogs, with their various personalities and needs, were in good hands. I appreciated the communication while we were gone, and the house was in perfect shape when we returned.”

About: I’ve cared for animals my whole life, dogs, cats, small pets and I’m known for being calm, patient, and detail-oriented. I specialize in in-home care so your pet stays relaxed in their familiar space. I’m comfortable with seniors, puppies, and anxious or shy pets, and I follow your routines exactly (feeding, meds, potty schedule, exercise). My schedule allows me plenty of time for quality pet care! I’m available most mornings and evenings. I do work part time and have my kids week on week off so between work and kids I make time for pet walks and pet care when I have my kids. When I don't have my kids, I have more available hours and can-do house sitting locally in the placer county area. I take caring for pets in their own home very seriously and always treat your space with respect. I follow your routines exactly ~ meals, walks, meds, and bedtime ~ so your pets feel calm and secure while you’re away. I keep everything tidy, lock up carefully, and provide regular photo updates so you can relax knowing your home and pets are safe and well cared for. My goal is to make your time away completely worry-free.
“Ben took great care of our senior doggies! We were able to go on our vacation with peace of mind that he was giving them love and attention while we were away. Will absolutely work with him again!”

“Jessica is an excellent and conscientious pet sitter. She cared for my needy dog and elderly cat with love and compassion. The house was kept in pristine condition, even though it rained a lot of her visit (no muddy paw tracks left behind!). I highly recommend her and would definitely have her back.”

About: I have taken care of family friends cats and dogs while they were out of town since I was 8 years old. Growing up I had bunnies and a golden retriever dog. I have over 13 years experience in cats. I have two cats of my own: a senior & a young adult. I have a flexible schedule to visit your fur babies throughout the day to accommodate your schedule as well as keep them company. Can send cat/dog selfie updates while you are away if you would like. I have two cats in my household that don’t do well with other animals. I’m more comfortable staying overnight at your house and treat your home as your sanctuary.
“Aniah is an excellent house and fur babies sitter! Aniah brings a very calming spirit to the home and to our littles. They all loved her because they genuinely felt her sweet and loving personality. I would hire Aniah again and again. I would trust her with Chulo, Chica, and Charlotte any and every day.”

“This was our first time using Rover, and finding Bryce truly made a difference. Our three dogs have very distinct personalities, and it was impressive to see each one warm up to him. Typically, our dogs bark at new people, but Bryce’s calm and confident demeanor kept them relaxed and non-reactive. He made them feel safe and cared for, which means a lot to us. We also appreciated the daily pictures and updates, which gave us peace of mind, and he left our home just as we had left it. Without a doubt, we will continue to rely on Bryce for our pet care needs.”

About: Hello! My name is Marina. I am a student at Sierra College and also work part time. I am 19 and have my own car and stay at the house to keep the pets company. I have many references if you would like. I have pet sit for dogs, cats, cattle, horses, goats, and poultry. I have a dog of my own as well as 3 cats. I am great with animals and have been doing this for many years. I raised cattle through 4H so I have great skills of responsibility and animal care. I take pride in being honest with my clients about what I’m doing and what I have going on. The most dogs that I have pet sat for at one time was 13 dogs. I do well working to keep the pets’ normal routine, especially with senior pets. I’m a second year college student going to community college. I also work part time. My shifts at work usually range between 4-6 hours and my classes only have me leaving the house around 4-5 hours. I only have class on Tuesday evenings. I am a very busy person so I am unfortunately not able to stay at the house 24/7. I stay at the client’s house with the animals so that I am able to stick as close to their original routine as well as not having to leave them alone all night long. I always do my best to leave the house just as I found it. I always love coming home to a clean house after a trip so I always do what I can to make sure I do the same for my clients.
About: What sets me apart is the care, patience, and attention I give every pet as if they were my own. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, routine, and individual needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m happy caring for playful puppies, energetic dogs, and senior pets who may need extra patience and attention. I can help maintain feeding and medication routines, reinforce basic training, provide plenty of exercise and playtime, and give senior pets the calm, gentle care they deserve. My goal is simple: happy pets, peace of mind for you, and a sitter you can trust. I have an open schedule so I have enough time to tend to your pup. I can house sit all the time to walk them as needed First thing I do before and while they go out side I will observe all there escape routes and Make sure that everything is closed and secure
“Makenna has watched our house and dogs multiple times and I highly recommend her! The dogs love her and we know they are well taken care of. She is respectful of our home, and she cleans up after herself so well that you would never know anyone was there.”

About: Besides having and enjoying my own pets, I have been a pet sitter for several years as well as various veterinarians’ assistant and kennel attendant. I am a self employed licensed esthetician, so I am available to set my own schedule. I am looking forward spending time with pet clients. While caring for your pet I am very happy to follow your specific instructions in order to meet your pets’ needs and enhance their well being and safety.
“Our two pups loved Morgan! We are so happy we found her, she took amazing care of our home as well as our dogs. We loved the pictures she sent and how often she checked in with us. Best pet care we have had in a long time. We look forward to having her again soon 💕”

“Samantha has been an exceptional dog sitter for our 13-year-old, blind fur baby, Buster. It's the second time she's looked after him, and her ability to handle his unique needs is truly amazing. We wholeheartedly recommend her and will definitely be reaching out for her services again. Buster is in great hands with Samantha!”

Deanna was wonderful!!! Couldn’t recommend her enough. We left for a week and when we got home our dogs were happy as can be, that tells me everything I need to know :) we were sent lots of pictures and they seemed to really enjoy themselves. Would definitely book with her again!!

Mia was absolutely amazing with Bella! Bella experiences anxiety during the first few days that I’m away, and Mia truly went above and beyond to make sure she received the extra love, attention, and care she needed. She made sure Bella was never home alone for too long and even took time during her lunch breaks to check on her. Mia also sent me daily updates and adorable pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing that Bella was happy, loved, and doing well while I was away. It is clear that Mia genuinely cares about the animals she watches and treats them as if they were her own\. I am eternally grateful for the incredible care she gave Bella and could not recommend her more highly\. If you are looking for someone trustworthy, compassionate, and willing to go the extra mile for your pet, Mia is the one\! Bella and I are so lucky to have found her!

One of the two best sitters we've ever had, over decades. Our mini-Aussie and cat loved her from her from the start. At our request, she kept in touch each day of our six day trip, with updates and pictures of our dog and cat. She also watered our large garden every day. Our washing machine actually died just before our trip, sending water all over the laundry floor. She continued to clean up the overflow water and coordinated and supervised the plumber's visit! (It could have been a very anxious distraction on our trip - but thanks to Piper, it wasn't.) We'll be reaching out to Piper for our next trip - and we hope she's free! R&P, Santa Rosa

Belinda watched our dog, Winston, for a week and she did a great job. He's a bit anxious and we appreciated how thoughtful and kind she was to him that week. She did a great job to make things as stress-free as possible for him and us! She was super communicative throughout the week with updates which we really appeciated. I will definitely be requesting her services again the next time we go away.

Sophia was amazing My dogs were treated as if they were her own She has a Natural gift as both my dogs related to her immediately She was very prompt in arrival and extremely courteous and kind by sending us photos while we were gone and keeping us abreast of every situation We trusted her 100% with our home and our dogs and we couldn’t be happier I highly recommend her as she is probably one of the best dog sitters you might find

Jessica is an excellent and conscientious pet sitter. She cared for my needy dog and elderly cat with love and compassion. The house was kept in pristine condition, even though it rained a lot of her visit (no muddy paw tracks left behind!). I highly recommend her and would definitely have her back.

Linzi and her family were wonderful hosts to my dogs Lucy and Georgie! Linzi sent me pictures just about daily of the dogs exploring their property and/or hanging out with the fam, and it was clear my pups were loving their visit - plus they got along great with their dogs! Very highly recommend and will definitely call on them in the future

Taylor was incredible. She took exceptional care of our dog, Blu, and our home while we were away. She kept us updated with photos and messages, which gave us total peace of mind, and it was obvious how much love and attention she gave him. Blu was so happy to see us, but we could tell he had an amazing time with her. She left the house spotless, was communicative, thoughtful, and genuinely cared about making sure everything went smoothly. We’d gladly have her back anytime and can’t recommend her highly enough. If you have the chance to book her—do it.

Kiara was wonderful! Our regular sitter cancelled last minute and she was able to watch our house and 95 lb German Shepherd with less than a week’s notice. She was prompt in her replies and provided us pictures and updates throughout our vacation. When we got back our house was tidy and our dog was happy, definitely recommend her!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Rocklin walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Rocklin maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Rocklin choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
