About: I am able to feed, walk, cuddle, play, and do all things necessary to make your pet feel comfortable and happy in their own environment! I have grown up with two dogs and since moving out, I now care for a cat of my own. My work schedule consists typically of either very early mornings or afternoons, but I am willing to work around yours and your pets schedules! I have a cat of my own and I absolutely love playing and cuddling with her. I also provide her wet food daily. I used to have two dogs when I lived at home as well so I have experience with taking care of dogs too. I am able to play with your pets as well as give them the sufficient time outside playing and walking, feed them at the appropriate times, and overall accompany them while their person is away!
About: I have the sweetest red Golden retriever since August 2023, and had a family Beagle growing up. Now between my parents and sister and myself, there are four Golden retrievers, so I've been around the sweet breed for a few years. In the past few years, I've had multiple roommates with multiple dogs of different breeds that I would walk and petsit. I have a fairly flexible schedule, so I'm typically available for morning, lunch, and evening walks, and also will be available on most weekend afternoons. I will keep your dog on leash and in safe areas, away from cars and unfamiliar dogs. I will follow any and all guidance given on how to best handle your dog.
“Mary is the epitome of professionalism with the heart of an animal lover. She was sweet and personal with our kitty and human needs and adaptable with unforseen circumstances. Her attention to details and picture documentation were the perfect support system we needed as we were unable to stay in touch on a live basis but know our fur babies were being cared for so we could fully enjoy our time away. We hope to see her again and again with our future sitting needs.”

About: Hi! I have been dog sitting for dogs in my community, including family and friends. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I have dog sat for senior dogs, dogs who have Alzheimer’s, and hyper-active dogs! I am currently home from college for the summer, so I have a lot of free time to be able to hangout with your dogs! I have owned dogs my whole life, so I understand they can all have different living styles, attitudes, and personalities! I am there to give them the love and care they need.

“Deanna was amazing! My cats fell in love with her and looked forward to her visits. She was loving, sweet, and gentle with my cats. She communicated with me very well and I have nothing but amazing things to say about her. She's definitely my go to kitty sitter from now on =] Thank you so much, Deanna!”

About: I've always loved helping with dog-sitting and watching friends' and family's dogs. My experience includes working with small and large breeds, as well as puppies and senior dogs. I have recently trained our puppy to follow commands, go on long and short walks, and socialize with other dogs. Taking care of a senior dog required extra attention and consideration to meet their needs, such as giving medications, carrying them to the yard when needed to go to the bathroom, and being aware of their health needs. I always make sure to fulfill the needs of the dogs and the owners' requests. This allows people to rely on me to take good care of their pets. Currently studying at Sac. State, but with free time and an open schedule for the summer, leaving me plenty of time to take care of pets. During the school year, I am also available during the week and on weekends. I have a good-sized backyard with grass and plenty of space for multiple dogs to play and run around. I have a dog who is well socialized and enjoys playing with others. I have trained my dog to follow commands, go on walks, and is potty trained. I also have a large crate if needed.
“Jena is beyond amazing! I honestly can't say enough great things about the care she provided to our dog, Addy, while my husband and I went away for the weekend. We had never used Rover.com before, but it was so nice to get the check-ins and the pictures Jena sent showing how happy Addy was and that she was being well cared for. We even had a slight change in our plans, and Jena was very accommodating. Jena went above and beyond! I highly recommend her and would love to have her care for Addy again!! :)”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 14 and love it every time I do, I focus on making pets feel calm and happy. I am not currently working so I am available at any time, I don’t have a crazy busy schedule. I am currently only able to provide pet care in the client’s home and am not able to host pets in my own home. I will give them a loving environment and make sure that they get the attention they deserve and if the client needs me to do any special things for the dog I will.
“I highly recommend Brianna! She did 2 drop in visits with my husky malamute while I was out of town overnight. She sent me photos and updates. My dog had gotten into the freezer (which was new) and she strapped it shut so he couldn’t do that again. Thank you!”
“Allie and JoJo were the purrrrfect helpers for our cats, they communicated clearly and even provided “proof of life” photos for us to see our girls were doing okay. We would absolutely book with them again!”

About: I grew up with 3 dogs- all of different sizes and breeds, giving me a lot of experience with handling different sort of personalities and tendencies in small, medium, and large dogs! My family and friends often ask me to dog sit and walk their dogs due to the effort I put in to make sure the dog is happy! I’m currently a student at the University of Washington but since it’s summer, I have extra free time! I am available most times of the day, even the mornings to get the day started or have your pets walked before your work day starts! I’m not currently offering dog sitting because I am in college living, but often when I’m home with my childhood dogs, I constantly play with them, take them on runs or walks, and make sure their needs are met.

“Rhiannon did a fabulous job with our boys! One of our dogs ended up getting a hurt paw while we were on vacation and she took care of him so well and made us feel comfortable we had someone there. Would definitely recommend!”

“I cannot say enough good things about my dog walker. He takes amazing care of my two big dogs — my little beasts — and handles them with confidence, calmness, and kindness. They absolutely adore him. He’s reliable, patient, and clearly experienced. I feel completely comfortable trusting him with my dogs, which is huge for me. Every walk is consistent, safe, and positive. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about your pets and treats them like his own, he’s the one. Highly recommend!”

“LIsa was very easy to communicate with and took great care of our 2 dogs. Our youngest is a rescue pup and she is skittish so this was the first time we had someone take care of her and having Lisa was a huge peace of mind for us. We will definitely rebook with her again.”

About: Born an animal lover, enthusiast, and activist I have cared for animals (Dogs, Cats, and even Rabbits) my entire life. My animals are considered family members and treated as equals in our home - this includes consistent belly rubs, play time, walks, affection, attention, squeaky toys, ball throwing/chasing, and a warm bed at night. We love animals tenfold and have had decades of experience with varieties of personalities, needs, preferences, and training. Over the years I have volunteered at the ASPCA and currently am a Foster Mom for the Northern California Pug Rescue group. I have had 3 pugs of my own, all three rescues, and have taken care of two of them in their senior/end years. I have also owned and cared for both large (German Shepherd, Labrador and Wheaton Doodle) and small (pugs) breeds including ailing senior dogs with specialized needs and care. I am experienced with picky eaters, administering medication (orally and topically), and skin issues requiring treatment. We own our home and have a safe/secure very large backyard for play and sunshine time with access to the Sunset Whitney Recreation area with a vast array of walking trails. Our backyard has a very large natural grass area, trees, and clean patio area. We walk our dogs daily on a variety of trails right from our backyard and would be glad to walk yours as well. We are a small family of three in Rocklin and all animal/dog lovers. My husband has extensive knowledge and experience with dog care and training as he loves the great outdoors and nature generally. My tween son has had hands on experience raising and caring for animals through both us and Cub Scouts. Your pet will be in safe, secure and loving hands from all three of us around the clock. I am home full time and so your pet will not be left alone or uncared for at any time. We are glad to provide photos and updates throughout the duration of your pets time with us. We will make your dog a part of our family while they stay with us and probably fall in love with them. We are happy to help pet guests however is best for the owner/pet and can try to accommodate last minute requests. The house and yard are cleaned regularly with a Microbial/ Enzyme based product that eliminates stains/odors. We sanitize daily as we also have two dogs of our own that permanently reside here. I have an extremely dog friendly home that includes a very large private backyard with lawn and patio (as well as a side gate for you to pick up), a dog door for them to enter the home or yard as needed, and the interior is setup to be dog friendly entirely. We have multiple dog beds, toys, and water areas. In the summer we sometimes setup a small pool on very hot days if desired to dip them into and cool off, but will keep them inside during peak summer heat hours. I am home full time and so your pet will not be left alone or uncared for at any time. We are glad to provide photos and updates throughout the duration of your pets time with us. I have a fenced yard that is secure for all pets. We sleep with your dog so that they are never alone. If they prefer a crate, bed of their own, blanket that smells like you, etc. I encourage you to bring it for their stay so we can make them as comfortable as possible.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
