About: I have the sweetest red Golden retriever since August 2023, and had a family Beagle growing up. Now between my parents and sister and myself, there are four Golden retrievers, so I've been around the sweet breed for a few years. In the past few years, I've had multiple roommates with multiple dogs of different breeds that I would walk and petsit. I have a fairly flexible schedule, so I'm typically available for morning, lunch, and evening walks, and also will be available on most weekend afternoons. I will keep your dog on leash and in safe areas, away from cars and unfamiliar dogs. I will follow any and all guidance given on how to best handle your dog.

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all different sizes and personalities. I’ve had two Huskies, a Golden Retriever, and a Rottweiler, so I’m very comfortable with large, energetic dogs and understand the attention, exercise, and patience they need. I also have a cat of my own, so I’m just as comfortable caring for feline friends! 🐾 I truly love animals and will treat your pets with the same love, attention, and care I’d want for my own. I work from home on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 6 AM–3 PM, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide your pet with attention, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I live near a large park in Rocklin with plenty of space for nice, enjoyable walks and outdoor time. I’m happy to take your dog there for some fresh air and exercise, or if you’d feel more comfortable having them stay close to home, I can stick to walks around your neighborhood and follow their normal routine. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always come first!

About: It is very difficult for me to have animals in my current situation so I am looking forward to this work as an opportunity to make friends with animals that I would not get to experience normally. I am really looking forward to it. Thank you. I am retired and partially disabled so I don’t have a work routine and so I’m available seven days a week. This will be fun! I am very respectful of other people spaces and I’m happy to offer full cleanup services for any accidents or other things that might happen while I’m there.
“Ella was great! Super friendly, took great care of the cats, and communicated when needed. Thank you, Ella! Will be reaching out the next time we need someone to watch our cats :)”

About: I have taken care of all kinds of animals for friends and and family. Most of my experience is with dogs and cats. I love animals and believe they deserve love in return. I am currently working from home full time and have rhe flexibility to properly care for your pet. I have an established routine with my pup. I can keep your fur baby’s routine consistent as well. I have a fenced yard and a dog friendly 2 yr old mixed pup, Pete. Pete is playful, patient and a good listener. Since I’m home all day, you can be confident that I am here to supervise all interactions and play times. I believe in crate training and can provide crate downtime also. My Pete is used to napping between 1-3pm.
“Valeria was such a pleasure to work with while we were away on vacation! She was kind, responsible, reliable, communicative, and our dogs loved her. She went above and beyond. Will definitely book again!!”

“Ashely watched our two cats for a week. She is very reliable and provides top notch care with making sure they are eating and providing them with attention and playing. I would highly recommend her.”

“I found Mary fairly last minute for a trip and thought she was the perfect fit for my cats. Mary is extremely reliable, communicative, and definitely went the extra mile to take care of my cats, home, and even plants. I looked forward to her fun messages and pictures each day. I will definitely be using her again and would recommend her services!”

“Andrea & Ryan H. did a great job again taking care of our cat and checking on the house. They're very reliable, send pics timely each day and have great communication always so we never worry while we're away. Thank you for you continued support.”

“Chelsea goes above and beyond the expected when caring for Somalia. She came over to let him in the house during a rain storm and made sure he had a place to eat in a covered area when out doors. He loves her and we do too. She is absolutely the best care giver ever.”

“Jena is beyond amazing! I honestly can't say enough great things about the care she provided to our dog, Addy, while my husband and I went away for the weekend. We had never used Rover.com before, but it was so nice to get the check-ins and the pictures Jena sent showing how happy Addy was and that she was being well cared for. We even had a slight change in our plans, and Jena was very accommodating. Jena went above and beyond! I highly recommend her and would love to have her care for Addy again!! :)”

Deanna was amazing! My cats fell in love with her and looked forward to her visits. She was loving, sweet, and gentle with my cats. She communicated with me very well and I have nothing but amazing things to say about her. She's definitely my go to kitty sitter from now on =] Thank you so much, Deanna!

Myung came over before our trip to meet the bets and get acquainted with the house which was very helpful! He was attentive to each dog and sent great updates and pics each day. Communication was great and I would book again with great confidence our dogs would be taken care of!

LIsa was very easy to communicate with and took great care of our 2 dogs. Our youngest is a rescue pup and she is skittish so this was the first time we had someone take care of her and having Lisa was a huge peace of mind for us. We will definitely rebook with her again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
