“Dale took great care of our cats - she was prompt, thoughtful of them, thorough in following instructions and took excellent photos of them during her visits! I would work with Dale again for any animal care.”

About: I grew up in a home filled with both dogs and cats, which sparked my lifelong love for animals. I’ve been pet sitting for 8 years, gaining hands-on experience with pets of all ages and temperaments. My mom was a dog sitter for Rover, and by helping her, I learned invaluable skills in animal care and behavior. In high school, I took it a step further by running my own pet sitting business, building trust with clients and ensuring their pets were happy, healthy, and safe. My experience includes caring for puppies, senior pets, and administering basic medications, making me well-equipped to meet a variety of pet care needs. I am a dedicated full-time student-athlete with a flexible schedule, available in the mornings, midday, and evenings to walk, feed, and care for your pets. My availability is consistent Sunday through Thursday, with occasional openings on Fridays and Saturdays. I prioritize safety, trust, and creating a comfortable environment for pets while in my care. I follow all instructions provided by the client, ensuring their routines are maintained to reduce stress. Whether it’s feeding, walking, or playtime, I stay attentive to the pet’s needs and behavior, keeping an eye out for any signs of discomfort or distress. I treat every client’s home with the utmost respect, leaving it just as I found it. My goal is to provide pets with a safe, loving, and familiar environment so both they and their owners can feel at ease.

I just graduated from granite bay high school and I have a dog of my own, he’s an english pointer and is super energetic so i’m used to having to wear out dogs! I’m good at getting a dog to listen to me and I can also crate your dog if needed! Just show me the commands and your dogs will be in good hands!

“Deanna was amazing! My cats fell in love with her and looked forward to her visits. She was loving, sweet, and gentle with my cats. She communicated with me very well and I have nothing but amazing things to say about her. She's definitely my go to kitty sitter from now on =] Thank you so much, Deanna!”

“Jena is beyond amazing! I honestly can't say enough great things about the care she provided to our dog, Addy, while my husband and I went away for the weekend. We had never used Rover.com before, but it was so nice to get the check-ins and the pictures Jena sent showing how happy Addy was and that she was being well cared for. We even had a slight change in our plans, and Jena was very accommodating. Jena went above and beyond! I highly recommend her and would love to have her care for Addy again!! :)”

“I needed someone last minute and contacted Jenna. She was great. She walked my dog and stayed with her after that. I felt very comfortable knowing that she was was taking care of her.”

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience with animals and my calm, reliable approach to pet care. I grew up around dogs, cats, and other animals, and spent 7 years riding horses competitively, which gave me a strong understanding of animal behavior, responsibility, and consistent care routines. In addition to caring for my own pets, I’ve spent years dog sitting, cat sitting, and walking dogs for friends and family. I’m comfortable with pets of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels, and I always take time to learn each pet’s routine and preferences. I also bring a professional, dependable approach to pet care. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet and your home, and I prioritize communication, reliability, and making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to provide attentive and reliable pet care. I work a hybrid role with a mix of remote and on-site work, and my schedule varies throughout the week. This flexibility allows me to accommodate morning, midday, evening, and weekend visits depending on your pet’s needs. On days I work remotely, I’m able to provide more frequent check-ins, walks, and companionship. When I’m on-site, I plan my schedule carefully to ensure pets are still cared for consistently and on time. Whether your pet needs regular walks, drop-ins, or overnight care, I’m committed to building a dependable routine that works for both you and your pet. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize maintaining their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I take time to understand each pet’s schedule, feeding routine, walking preferences, and any special instructions to ensure consistency and reduce stress. Safety is always a top priority. I make sure pets are securely leashed during walks, keep doors and gates closed, and remain mindful of each pet’s behavior and comfort level. I also pay close attention to any changes in behavior or health and communicate promptly if anything seems unusual. I respect your home as if it were my own. I keep spaces clean and tidy, follow any household guidelines, and ensure your home remains secure while you’re away. I’m also happy to provide updates, photos, and check-ins so you can feel confident knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 14 and love it every time I do, I focus on making pets feel calm and happy. I am not currently working so I am available at any time, I don’t have a crazy busy schedule. I am currently only able to provide pet care in the client’s home and am not able to host pets in my own home. I will give them a loving environment and make sure that they get the attention they deserve and if the client needs me to do any special things for the dog I will.

“LIsa was very easy to communicate with and took great care of our 2 dogs. Our youngest is a rescue pup and she is skittish so this was the first time we had someone take care of her and having Lisa was a huge peace of mind for us. We will definitely rebook with her again.”

About: I am able to feed, walk, cuddle, play, and do all things necessary to make your pet feel comfortable and happy in their own environment! My work schedule consists typically of either very early mornings or afternoons, but I am willing to work around yours and your pets schedules! I have a cat of my own and I absolutely love playing and cuddling with her. I also provide her wet food daily. I used to have two dogs when I lived at home as well so I have experience with taking care of dogs too. About: Hi! I have been dog sitting for dogs in my community, including family and friends. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I have dog sat for senior dogs, dogs who have Alzheimer’s, and hyper-active dogs! I am currently home from college for the summer, so I have a lot of free time to be able to hangout with your dogs! I have owned dogs my whole life, so I understand they can all have different living styles, attitudes, and personalities! I am there to give them the love and care they need.

About: I have been able to take care of three dogs, a gecko and a horse so there isn’t anything that I can’t handle. Along with my families dogs I've taken care of friends dogs and have been training with seeing eye guide dogs for the blind. I am a recent graduate from Arizona State and my three family dogs are back home in California. In my house we have two cats with my roommate. I’m mostly open weekdays and weekends in the morning. The experience I have the most of is house sitting and dog walking where I would be there for either a couple of hours during the day, spend the night, or just come to pick up the dog for a walk.
About: I’ve taken care of my own and friends’ cats and dogs since childhood and feel confident I’ll provide the best care for your baby! I’m very comfortable around both dogs and cats and connect with them easily. I have a calming presence that helps animals relax. I’m a designer who works from home so it’s easy to take breaks from my flexible schedule whenever needed. I love having chances to get out of the house and what would be a better way than to care for pets! Safety and reliability are the most important for me as a pet sitter. I always follow given instructions carefully and make sure your baby has the best and safest care possible.
About: I grew up on a ranch with all kinds of animals, so I’ve taken care of every size from quail to horses. I started watching other people’s animals when I was 13, from feeding friends 4H projects to staying at a house with someone’s dog. I’m currently working part time, just graduated from Sacramento State, and am currently looking for a nursing program. I typically have evenings free and a couple hours in the morning depending on my schedule for the week. I’m very flexible and willing to work around or with anything! My work schedule does come out weekly so I cannot guarantee that I will be available at the same time every week and my shifts vary in length, anywhere from 4-8 hours. I don’t offer care in my own home currently as I live in an apartment. But I’m more than willing to watch them in your home to help them stay in their routine!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
