“Five stars, no hesitation. Luz came out to the curb to meet us at drop-off, which was such a thoughtful touch. There’s always that awkward moment as a first-time visitor where you’re not sure whether to knock or ring the doorbell, and she just took that off the table entirely. She followed all my care instructions carefully and, most impressively, rolled with a last-minute curveball: our younger dog ended up needing his neuter surgery earlier than expected, so she had to take on a whole set of post-op instructions with very little notice. She handled it without missing a beat. Her own dog was an absolute gem, calm, gentle, not a barker. That matters more than it might sound. I always worry about my dogs picking up bad habits from an anxious or reactive dog, and that was just never a concern here. Both of my dogs are Chihuahua mix puppies, which is exactly as much energy as it sounds like. She had nothing but kind things to say about them at pick-up, which honestly I appreciated, because I can barely say that about them on a high-energy day. Most telling: they were asleep within 60 seconds of getting in the car. That’s always my gold standard for a good stay. She was also wonderfully communicative throughout, sending pictures and videos regularly. I don’t always need that from a sitter, but with someone new, it means everything to know they’re being attentive. Luz absolutely was. I’ve used a number of sitters in the Roseville and Rocklin area over the years and honestly never walked away from a drop-off feeling truly at ease. This was the first time. I felt confident the whole time that my dogs were in the best possible hands. Highly recommend, especially if you have puppies or dogs with special needs.”

“Jesenia and her family were a great match for my two ridgebacks. Her dogs were friendly and the kids were very gentle and respectful of the pups space. I received several pictures and an excellent summary of their activity and behaviors through the day. It felt like I knew exactly what to expect, no surprises, and my dogs seemed relaxed and happy with their stay. They actually got excited in the backseat when we pulled up to their house and we’d only swung by for an initial meeting the week prior. The backyard is large and fully fenced, real grass, lots of trees and bushes for the dogs to smell for squirrels and explore. They both slept the whole way home, which never happens. Needless to say, I’m glad my pups have a place they look forward to going to, and I’ll definitely be booking again!”

About: I am 25. Raised and crate trained my own dog. & I have cats! I am a babysitter, soccer coach, and currently in EMT school. I am responsible & clean for house sits. I am very active for your dog walking needs!!! I am currently working seasonally until Oct. 1st. For the remainder of September- I have availability for morning and evening walks and house sits! Once October hits I am doing online school and have FULL availability for your pets needs!!! For walks- I’ll adapt to any dogs walking preference! Energetic mountain dogs? I’ll take them on 5 mile hikes. Older pups that need 30 min of slow strolls? I got you. As for house sits- I am respectful, very very clean, and will take amazing care of your precious pets AND your personal environment.

“Arlo loved his visit with Michael and his four legged family. Once out of the car on day two, Arlo never looked back. At the end of each day he was worn out and ready to chill. That was a side benefit to us who are busy in a transition as we move house. After the first few hours and some photos of his time with his new playmates we never thought twice as to how he was fitting in. Michael made Arlo his own for the three days he stayed with him and we trusted him completely to care for and love his time with our puppy too. We definitely will call Michael again when we are back in Roseville and need some hours to ourselves.”

About: Updated: 2/16/2026 - I home sit (for overnights) at my home in Citrus Heights on almost an acre for clients who need dog sitting up to 2 dogs or 1 dog and 1 in house cat (spayed or neutered). I only sit one client at a time with one or two pets so I can give them full attention as I am retired.. Cats will be in outdoor cat condo under carport at this time. I don’t book out farther than 90 days. Additionally, I do drop-in's from 9 am to 5 pm daily. NOTE: I home care dogs in Citrus Heights (near Antelope & Sunrise). I've owned a couple of pure breed German Shepherds and a few rescue German Shepherds, a Golden Retriever, and a medium mix dog. I've taken some doggie training classes. There are two other adults who live with me (dog lovers). Non-smoking house. Dogs are provided Britta filtered water. Let me know your dog's preferences for playtime... Frisbee, ball toss, tug toys, etc. for overnights (please provide the food). Look forward to meeting your sweet dogs. I do walk about around my large backyard on leash if you prefer your dog to keep up with walking training. It's a bit like a track in the backyard. Cats will be outdoor under a structured carport in a cat condo (with litter box access). I'll update you wtih daily photos. I can’t accept Pit Bulls, Doberman Pinchers, or Rottweilers for insurance reasons. I'm retired and looking forward to have dog guests. If you vacation during the summer months this will work well for you. In the house is great too. All my dogs have been indoor dogs. I have a fenced yard that can be divided and fenced for smaller dogs too. It's a big property and dogs can be contained in smaller areas if you prefer. See pictures.

About: I've been someone's full-time dog person since 2008, starting with Max back in Germany and now with Bella here in the US — so this isn't a new hobby, it's basically my longest-running job. Being a stay-at-home family maker means your dog gets round-the-clock attention instead of squeezed-in visits, plus a fully fenced yard and a resident dog who already knows the ropes. I also can't promise I won't send you an overwhelming number of photos and videos — consider yourself warned. I'm a full-time stay-at-home family maker, which is a fancy way of saying I'm basically always home and always available for pets. No 9-to-5 to work around, no rushing home before dark — your dog gets in on the daily chaos of laundry, snacks, kids' soccer practices, and whatever else my day looks like. Weekdays, weekends, random Tuesday afternoons, I'm around and happy to have the extra company. My yard is fully fenced, so zip-line escape attempts are pretty much off the table. My own dog, Bella, is the resident welcome committee and will make sure your pup feels at home within about five minutes. We have a pool so Bella can teach your pup to swim if desired. Fair warning: I take an unreasonable number of photos and videos, so expect your phone to fill up with candid shots of your dog living their best life at my place.
