“Lexie is wonderful! You can tell right away that she will take care of your pups as if they were her own :) My puppy had an absolute blast! I loved seeing the photos of him, he was very comfortable there and had fun playing with her pups. Highly recommend!”

About: Hello! Love hanging with animals and I am excited to do this for work! My skills are I’ve taken care of animals my whole life except for my 4 years while I was in the military and could not have a pet at that time. I love dogs all sizes and I’ve babysat my friend’s dogs and cats all the time while they’re on vacation. It’s always the best time while I’m taking care of them. I never asked for any payments from them because they are my friends but I guess with this app I’ll be taking a payment lol. Can’t wait to meet you and your furry buddy, thanks for reading this, hope I see you soon! Working part time right now and would love to get into working full time with animals instead! I feel like I have a lot of down time so please don’t be afraid to message me My roommate has a German shepherd that I take care of and play with daily. I’ve grown up with animals all my life. Have had all types of animals and multiple at the same time. Overall, love animals very much.
“I recently boarded my dog at Qing’s home, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! Qing took such great care of my dog — every time I picked him up, he was happily exhausted from playing all day. Their own dog is super friendly, and the two got along so well. My dog had an amazing time staying at Qing’s place for those two days. Highly recommend!”

“I would absolutely book with Lisa again if I ever need dog day care. She was very communicative, accepted my last-minute booking request, and was understanding of my dog's behavior. She also sent cute pictures of my dog, which I loved to see while I was working. My dog was definitely happy when I picked him up and exhausted when he came back home. I can tell he had a fun day with Lisa and her dogs!”

“Leslie is absolutely amazing! Ginger is 14 years old and has a lot of health issues. Leslie is incredibly understanding, patient, and compassionate. Thank you, Leslie for taking such great care of my sweet, little Ginger.”

About: I grew up with dogs and have always loved spending time with them, whether they were my dog or my close friends' and family's dogs. I have a 2 years of experience volunteering at the SPCA in roseville, where I met dogs of all kind from Great Danes to Chihuahuas. There I trained dogs in common commands such as "sit", "lie down", "go to bed" and mostly spent time socializing with them so they would become used to human interaction. I have also taught my own dog a range of commands such as; "heel", "stay", "hand shake", etc. I am great at bathing and grooming dogs and have my own equipment to wash, dry and brush them thoroughly. I love to meet dogs of all size and personalities, whether they are on the shy or calm side or if they are social with more energy. I am a college student at home on summer break so most of my days will be 100% free to show attention to the dogs. I will have ample time to play with and walk dogs. I live in a safe gated community. My home has a large fenced backyard with plenty of grass to play on and a large amount of space within the home as well. I have one small dog, a maltipoo and she is friendly with other dogs. I feel like dogs are family and want to care for them as they are my own family. I am open to house drop in visits based on the time and to sit dogs in client houses, to feed, walk, and play with the dogs.
“Leah is amazing! She works with me if I have last minute changes or add ons. She's very attentive to the dogs. Keeps me informed of anything going on. Especially with my stubborn, picky eater pom! She helps give him medicine that's needed every day and also as needed. Leah also helps with some grooming, which is a huuuuge help. Highly recommend her services! Thank you Leah for taking care of Tater Tot!”

“Audria was amazing!! Ryder was mega happy when I picked him, he didn’t want to leave lol and she even took him on a long walk & provided him with what he needed. Took great care of him and sent lots of pictures :) thank you 🙏🏼”

“Carol took really good care of Coco. We could feel coco was very happy during his stay there and enjoyed his time. Her house was very clean, beautiful and the when we picked up Coco he seemed to have been taken care of well. Would recommend to others and will return to her in future!”

“My pup had a lovely time with Whitney and Olly. Whitney is kind-hearted and clearly loves dogs; her clear communication and updates made us feel safe and secure leaving our beloved doodle in her care! We highly recommend and will surely return for more!”

“Dave and his roommate max are great with my dog ozzy. He always comes home happy and tired. They have a great yard for lots of play. Very knowledgeable with dogs and feel super comfortable having my boy spend time with them. Thanks guys highly recommended.”

“Tammy has been wonderful with my puppy Kratos! He has a place in her pack and very much enjoys his day at her house. In addition, Tammy has been helping me in his training. She has even been so kind as to have given me a bag of training treats to help me train him. Thanks again Tammy! 😁”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Roseville
Victoria was a life saver as I booked a week in advance! Drop off and pick up was super smooth and the communication was great. Zen was shy and timid when I dropped him off but she reassured me Zen was doing well later on. I greatly appreciate her being there to help care for my pup while I was out in the area!

I am so grateful for Luz! I was visiting family from out of town and needed last minute care for my pup, Indy. Luz was very quick to respond to my inquiry and was very communicative and accommodating. She sent me updates throughout the day along with pictures. Her dog was so sweet and got along well with my girl. It was my first time hiring a dog sitter through Rover and was very pleased with the Luz’s help, especially when I needed it the most.

Courtney was GREAT! Very friendly. Quick to respond and very easy to work with. You can tell right away her love for pups and will instantly know ur pup is in great hands and we be more than well taken care of. I am always nervous leaving my dog bc he can be particular but even my dog was very comfortable with Courtney the minute they met. And best of all he got along just great with her dog Penny so that was such a relief. Would Booker again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend

Serhii and his daughter are sooo sweet and chill - an absolute pleasure. My Belgian Malinois pup came home happy and tired both days I used them (a real testament to how involved and wonderful they are), and I absolutely would use them as my first choice anytime I’m in the area! 6/5 stars.

I boarded my dog at Whitney’s home over the weekend, and she was absolutely wonderful. She is very professional and truly cared for my dog. Whitney even provided some extra training, which I really appreciated. Her own dogs were also very friendly and helped my dog feel comfortable right away. I’m very grateful for her help and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter

Brianna was great! Super communicative and accommodating of my fluctuating schedule. I felt totally confident that Tilly was well cared for and had a much more exciting day playing at Brianna's house than she would have had home alone at mine! Will definitely rebook.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Roseville commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
