About: I’ve taken care of dogs & cats before for friends and family, I also take care of my own! They’re my whole world! Your fur babies are my top priority I currently work at Sutter Health 4-5 days a week, I am able to care for your fur babies before & after work. I’m almost always available weekends 24/7! I will always make sure there are no windows / doors open or unlocked so your pets cannot get out. Along with making sure no food is accessible for them to get into easily.
“Tatjana was great! She provided updates each day and had a calm energy which is helpful for our anxious dog. I felt he was in good hands. And she was very responsive. Thanks for taking care of our Charlie boy!”

“Hannah was an absolute pleasure to work with. Weims are a very energetic breed and she fit right in. She came on time (even early) and was very courteous with my pup. My pup is very selective and loved her. I can’t thank her for all of the updates and kindness. Would 10/10 recommend !”

“Sonjia is a very kind and compassionate person, you can sense that through her messages alone. My dog took some time to warm up to her but she was patient, communicative and friendly. Would book again! Thank you.”

“Alexis was great! She was available for a last minute quick trip and was able to make time to come over and meet my dog and go over everything before I left. I came home to a happy and healthy little boy with no issues at all!”

“When one our regular sitters had to cancel, Morgan came in to save the day! She was communicative, reassuring when we were missing our pubs and above all - treated them like her own dogs. She has a natural gift with animals and it truly showed. She handled our difficult old man pup so well, and judging by the pictures she sent, he adored her - which is unlike him. We have already booked with Morgan again, she’s such a trustworthy person to have watch your fur babies!”

“Melissa is a really kind and wonderful person who knows animals well. It's been reassuring to us to have Melissa watching our elder girl dog. It helps knowing Melissa is there staying in our home, keeping watch and offering comfort and companionship. Melissa is attentive and responsive. We'd gladly recommend her and use her again!”

About: I have had experience in dog sitting and walking puppies! I have always wanted a dog but just do not have the room for it at home so pet sitting for friends has always been something I have loved doing! Currently, I am working part-time and I am a college student. However, my shifts are never longer than 4 hours. My services are available all week! I make sure to care for pets with as much love as I can! Seeing a stranger come into your home can be daunting so I try to be as graceful as possible when meeting and interacting with the clients pets!
“Xingyi was fabulous with the girls. She sent lots of pictures and updates and we came back to ragdolls with no knots! The house was as clean as we left it! I would definitely recommend and will use her again. Truly appreciate a good, reliable sitter that allows us to enjoy our vacation without worrying about the cats. Thanks Xingyi!”

About: From 14 I was volunteering at animal shelters taking care of cats and dogs. I’ve had my own bearded dragons, lizards, hamsters, and cats. I also took care of horses when I was younger as well! I have always found pleasure in pet care. I am excited to see what I can do for you! :) I love walking, playing, and being with animals. Let me know your schedule and what I can do for you and we can work something out :) It’s a sparkle of genuine care and love in my day for me! I have always loved caring for animals I will always make time for it. I allow them to have a safe space for attention and lots of play time! I make sure that all animals have water available at all times and food is distributed as instructed. I make sure they don’t ever feel alone :)
“Alexa was great! Very communicative - sent photos and videos daily - and quick to respond to messages. She washed the bed sheets and kept the house and pups in good order. Would definitely book again!”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and grew up with pit bulls and cats, so caring for pets has always come naturally to me! I currently have a sweet 2-year-old pit bull named Alfie and a playful 1-year-old cat named Toast, so I understand how important it is to have someone you truly trust caring for your babies. I’ve been pet sitting on the side for the past few years and am now excited to make it my full-time job because it’s something I genuinely love doing. I’m experienced with puppies, senior pets, large dogs, medications, and pets with all different personalities and energy levels. Whether your dog wants an active run buddy, long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or a calm comforting presence, I’m happy to match their vibe! I also offer overnight stays, drop-ins, basic bathing, drying, and brushing. I’m very flexible while still staying organized and reliable, and I always treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. 💖 Im transitioning into making petsitting my full time job and business so im available every day of the week. If you have anymore questions please feel free to ask. I don’t do a lot of boarding in my home so if you have questions regarding that please ask. I know how nerve-wracking it can feel leaving your pet with someone else, because I’m the exact same way with my own animals. I think pets can tell when someone genuinely likes being around them, and I always try to make them feel comfortable instead of forcing anything. Some pets want attention right away, some need space first, and I’m good at reading that. My goal is really just for your pet to feel safe, relaxed, and loved while you’re gone — and for you to not have to worry the whole time.
“Our pets were well taken care of, and the house was just as we left it! She had excellent communication and sent pictures throughout our time away. Definitely recommend!”

“Sarah was so great house sitting for us while we were on a trip. Both our dog and cat loved her and she spent a lot of extra time caring for them in ways we didn't expect (like hours of petting our anxious dog). Thank you so much Sarah!”

About: I've had and cared for animals ever since I can remember. I grew up with dogs, cats, birds and even rats. I have always had a natural love for animals and truly enjoy taking care of them like they're my own. Spending time with pets doesn't feel like a job to me, It's something I genuinely look forward to. Whether it's going on walks, playing, or just giving them attention and comfort, I make sure every pet feels safe, happy and loved while you're away. I currently have open availability and a flexible schedule, so I am able to give pets lots of attention and care throughout the day. Whether your pet needs walks, check-ins, or extended stays, I can easily accommodate different routines and schedules. I am available daytime, evenings and weekends as needed. I respect your space, keep things clean, and make sure your pet stays in their normal routine where they feel most comfortable.
“Alex is every pet owners dream - she immediately installs a sense of trust & calm from the moment you meet her. - daily walks , excellent communication & photo and video updates throughout the day and the house was spotless when I got home! You can tell she REALLY cares about pets. The biggest plus though was that my two fur babies were relaxed & happy when I returned home. I will definitely be reaching out to Alex again for house sitting. Thank you Alex - you are the absolute BEST!”
“Alexis was the best! We would totally recommend and can’t wait to use her again. She was so communicative and really went above and beyond. She sent updates, followed the instructions we left, and even washed and remade the bed before leaving. Brisket loved the snuggles and daily walks.”

Helen stayed with my senior boxer for a week while we were in Hawaii 💖 she is the absolute best! My girl was cared for loved and happy! Pink, decided to stop eating, then got diarrhoea and puked 🙄 all in Helen’s care…and mostly because she’s so attached to me. Helen readjusted her food and loved her back to healthy, happy and relaxed. Plus she was in constant contact with me and sent pictures. Our house was in perfect order, Pink was taken care of, more than I could have hoped for. Highly recommend 🌺

Desirae was absolutely amazing! She stayed at our home and took such wonderful care of our pets! It was clear from the updates and photos that they were all loved, well cared for, and comfortable while we were away. Knowing Desirae was taking care of both our pets and our home gave us complete peace of mind. She was reliable, communicative, and treated everything with so much care and respect. We came home to happy pets and a house that was just as we left it. We couldn’t recommend Desirae more highly. If you’re looking for someone who is kind, trustworthy, and truly cares for your animals like they’re her own, she’s the one. We will definitely be asking her to pet sit for us again!

Christina was great with my pets. She did pet sitting in my house when I was on vacation for a week. She was reliable, great communicator and my pets were comfortable with her. She provided me with daily updates and photos and I felt relieved that my fur babies were doing great while I was away. When I came back, the house was in immaculate condition and the pets were happy. I would definitely recommend her and I will use her services again.

Natalie did a great job watching our two 10 month old Golden Retriever puppies and taking care of the house while we were gone. She kept us updated daily with pictures, which we really appreciated. The boys were well exercised, fed and happy when we got back, clearly they were in good hands. Everything at the house was perfect as well. We’d definitely use her again and would highly recommend her to anyone. Thank you again Natalie!!

One of the two best sitters we've ever had, over decades. Our mini-Aussie and cat loved her from her from the start. At our request, she kept in touch each day of our six day trip, with updates and pictures of our dog and cat. She also watered our large garden every day. Our washing machine actually died just before our trip, sending water all over the laundry floor. She continued to clean up the overflow water and coordinated and supervised the plumber's visit! (It could have been a very anxious distraction on our trip - but thanks to Piper, it wasn't.) We'll be reaching out to Piper for our next trip - and we hope she's free! R&P, Santa Rosa

Madeline did a great job helping with our pets. She was very communicative and sent pictures throughout her time with our two dogs. She was flexible with her schedule to fit our needs and did a great job taking care of them. I highly recommend Madeleine and will ask her to take care of our two dogs in the future.

Olesia was a wonderful sitter! She really took the time to understand Pixie and her special schedule and needs. She went above and beyond to ensure Pixie was getting the best care. She gave me many updates and picitures. I definitely recommend her to anyone needing a sitter. I would love her to take care of my Pixie again in the future ❤️

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Roseville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Roseville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Roseville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
