But I appreciate the fact that Amanda gave us a full and honest report (which is helpful for us to gauge the areas he still needs significant training) and was very kind about the negatives. The most important thing, though, was that he settled down in the car almost immediately. Our dog is a very nervous dog, so if he has had a rough time at a dog sitter, we know right away because he whines and whimpers all the way home. After leaving Amanda‘s house, he winded for about 60 seconds and then went to sleep. Hallelujah! Thank you, Amanda, for the top quality care you have given to our very low quality puppy. I am especially grateful that Amanda was willing to take the puppy at the last minute, because my husband had a hospital procedure and I had completely forgotten about making arrangements for the dog. While I’m new to professional pet sitting, caring for dogs definitely isn’t new to me. As a dog owner myself, I know and understand needs and expectations, I realize every dog has their own personality, habits, energy level, and comfort zone. I’m comfortable with larger and energetic dogs and take the time to follow each owner’s instructions rather than assuming every dog needs the same thing. Whether it’s walks, playtime, meals, potty breaks, or simply keeping them company, my goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away Pet care is already a part of my everyday routine as a dog owner. I’m available for evening and weekend care, and my remote work schedule also provides flexibility throughout the week. I’m happy to coordinate with each owner to maintain their pet’s normal feeding, walking, exercise, and care routine as closely as possible. Safety and trust are extremely important to me. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walking routines, medications, household rules, and any special needs their pet may have. I understand that every pet has a different personality and comfort level, so I take the time to let them adjust to me at their own pace. I’ll also keep you updated so you can feel comfortable knowing your pet is safe and well cared for.
