“Amanda was very gracious towards our very naughty puppy. Apparently, some of the nervous behaviors that we don’t see at home came out with an unholy flourish at Amanda‘s home. But I appreciate the fact that Amanda gave us a full and honest report (which is helpful for us to gauge the areas he still needs significant training) and was very kind about the negatives. The most important thing, though, was that he settled down in the car almost immediately. Our dog is a very nervous dog, so if he has had a rough time at a dog sitter, we know right away because he whines and whimpers all the way home. After leaving Amanda‘s house, he winded for about 60 seconds and then went to sleep. Hallelujah! Thank you, Amanda, for the top quality care you have given to our very low quality puppy. I am especially grateful that Amanda was willing to take the puppy at the last minute, because my husband had a hospital procedure and I had completely forgotten about making arrangements for the dog. What a godsend Amanda has been.”

In my client’s home, I always focus on keeping pets comfortable, safe, and relaxed in their normal environment by following their usual routines like feeding, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior so I can quickly notice if something seems off or if they need extra attention or comfort. I also make sure to keep everything clean and respected while I’m there, including food areas, water bowls, and litter boxes, and I always double-check doors and gates for safety. I clean and refresh water daily to ensure pets always have access to fresh, clean drinking water. At my own home, I have 6 acres of property with divided, fenced-in areas where dogs can safely run, play, and enjoy time outside without interfering with each other. Dogs are also welcome inside my home to relax and hang out just like they’re my own, so they get both outdoor space and a cozy indoor environment. I also clean and refresh water daily here as well to make sure every pet stays healthy and hydrated. About: Hi, my name is Jena. I am a life long pet owner and animal lover. I became a rover sitter after unexpectedly losing our family dog. I wasn’t ready for another puppy, but I missed having a dog at home. The experience has been so rewarding! Our entire family - from my husband and my father-in-law to our two kiddos - enjoys it. We are available for drop in visits, doggy daycare and boarding. And because there are 3 adults around, pets who stay with us are rarely, if ever, home alone. We love taking long walks, trips to the park, and playing fetch in our backyard. I look forward to meeting you and your pets very soon! Currently a stay-at-home mom to a 6-year-old girl and 4-year-old boy. They are both in school/preschool so my schedule is flexible during the week and on weekends! We are very used to having both dogs and cats at home and love to play fetch in our yard or cuddle on the couch.
