About: I have worked at a doggy day care that serviced over a 100 dogs and 30 cats at a time. As a kennel tech, I took care of the animals. I played with them, gave them enrichment, training, ect. I have 1 year experience selling pet food. I learned a lot about dog and cat diets and food sources. Currently i'm available 24/7. This is what I do full time. So the animal will have 24/7 attention. Special circumstances will apply, weekend adventures or what not. Anytime is negotiable. Every animal will be treated as my own. Dogs will sleep in the house. I received several pictures and an excellent summary of their activity and behaviors through the day. It felt like I knew exactly what to expect, no surprises, and my dogs seemed relaxed and happy with their stay. They actually got excited in the backseat when we pulled up to their house and we’d only swung by for an initial meeting the week prior. The backyard is large and fully fenced, real grass, lots of trees and bushes for the dogs to smell for squirrels and explore. They both slept the whole way home, which never happens. Amanda was very gracious towards our very naughty puppy. Apparently, some of the nervous behaviors that we don’t see at home came out with an unholy flourish at Amanda‘s home. But I appreciate the fact that Amanda gave us a full and honest report (which is helpful for us to gauge the areas he still needs significant training) and was very kind about the negatives. The most important thing, though, was that he settled down in the car almost immediately. Our dog is a very nervous dog, so if he has had a rough time at a dog sitter, we know right away because he whines and whimpers all the way home. After leaving Amanda‘s house, he winded for about 60 seconds and then went to sleep. Hallelujah! Thank you, Amanda, for the top quality care you have given to our very low quality puppy. I am especially grateful that Amanda was willing to take the puppy at the last minute, because my husband had a hospital procedure and I had completely forgotten about making arrangements for the dog. What a godsend Amanda has been.
So grateful that Amanda is willing to deal with our high maintenance puppy. His training is slow going he’s a high anxiety high energy breed and he’s a puppy and neither me nor my husband really knows how to train dogs very well. So, he’s very rough around the edges but Amanda has been very patient with all of his requirements such as tethering timeouts and squirt bottle treatments for his humping habits. So grateful she is willing to take this little work in progress despite all his warts.
