“Amanda was very gracious towards our very naughty puppy. Apparently, some of the nervous behaviors that we don’t see at home came out with an unholy flourish at Amanda‘s home. But I appreciate the fact that Amanda gave us a full and honest report (which is helpful for us to gauge the areas he still needs significant training) and was very kind about the negatives. The most important thing, though, was that he settled down in the car almost immediately. Our dog is a very nervous dog, so if he has had a rough time at a dog sitter, we know right away because he whines and whimpers all the way home. After leaving Amanda‘s house, he winded for about 60 seconds and then went to sleep. Hallelujah! Thank you, Amanda, for the top quality care you have given to our very low quality puppy. I am especially grateful that Amanda was willing to take the puppy at the last minute, because my husband had a hospital procedure and I had completely forgotten about making arrangements for the dog. What a godsend Amanda has been.”

“Leah is amazing! She works with me if I have last minute changes or add ons. She's very attentive to the dogs. Keeps me informed of anything going on. Especially with my stubborn, picky eater pom! She helps give him medicine that's needed every day and also as needed. Leah also helps with some grooming, which is a huuuuge help. Highly recommend her services! Thank you Leah for taking care of Tater Tot!”

“Breanna was so kind and loving. My two took to both she and her partner instantly. Pictures told me they were having a great time, relaxing in their home. Walter is my quiet gentleman with an anxious soul and he freely gave affection and love, trusting instantly... and my Dolly the verbal pup yipped with glee over her new friends. We had a regular provider on Rover that we loved dearly but she is starting a family now so to find a new trusted host for our pups is so reassuring. They asked lots of questions to make sure all would be well during the stay. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much!”

“I've booked doggy daycare with Whitney on a few occasions and my dog comes home happy and tired. He looks forward to going and can't wait to get out of the car when we drop him off!”

“Teddy had so much fun at Kelsey’s! We were in the area for a birthday party and glad that Kelsey was able to take Teddy in for the day. Teddy played with her doodle Oliver and came home happy and tired. Highly reccomend Kelsey and will book again the next time we’re in the area.”

“Tammy has been wonderful with my puppy Kratos! He has a place in her pack and very much enjoys his day at her house. In addition, Tammy has been helping me in his training. She has even been so kind as to have given me a bag of training treats to help me train him. Thanks again Tammy! 😁”

About: Hello, we are Natalie & Chau. I, Natalie, was a teacher who is certified in CPR. I have my bachelors in psychology and worked as a supervisor and teacher for developmentally disabled adults and teenagers. However my passion had always been about animals ever since I was 5 years old. So now I am living my dream surrounded by animals of all kinds! Both my partner and I work from home so there is always someone home and it’s double the fun! My family and I are well versed in dog training methods and are very well adapted towards handling multiple dogs at once. We live on a mini 1 acre farm so your dogs can experience a mini vacation/retreat while they’re here. It is also very therapeutic for dogs who have anxiety as we have small farm animals and our garden for them to enjoy. On days when the weather is good we like to be in the yard to play off-leash and they can spend time with my dogs indoors as well. During the afternoon we stay indoors and then they will spend the night with me in my room. There will be naps involved and lots of love! We have just moved three years ago and we are finally reopen to new doggy friends from around the area. We are not doing in house meet and greets due to safety reasons but we can meet you at the local park nearby! I’m home all the time so they would be with me 24/7 unless I’m out on an errand. I will not ever leave dogs alone in the car without me. I have an acre of fenced yard. If your dog is more of a hunter than a lover of small animals such as a chicken we would be leashed to walk around the property. There is plenty of space!
“Absolutely amazing! Dan always goes above and beyond to take great care of Kamora. He’s reliable, caring, and communicative. He always makes sure she feels comfortable and well cared for. I’m so grateful!”

“I would absolutely book with Lisa again if I ever need dog day care. She was very communicative, accepted my last-minute booking request, and was understanding of my dog's behavior. She also sent cute pictures of my dog, which I loved to see while I was working. My dog was definitely happy when I picked him up and exhausted when he came back home. I can tell he had a fun day with Lisa and her dogs!”

“I recently had the pleasure of having Victoria and her family care for my two English bulldogs, and I cannot express enough how wonderful the experience was! From the moment I reached out, Victoria was incredibly thoughtful and attentive to my dogs' needs. It was clear that she has a genuine love for animals, and her caring demeanor truly put my mind at ease. Throughout the day, Victoria consistently kept me updated with pictures and messages, which reassured me that doggos were having a great time. Victoria's attention to detail and her warm, inviting family environment made all the difference. I wholeheartedly recommend her services to anyone in need of a trustworthy and loving dog sitter. Thank you, Victoria, for making our time away stress-free and enjoyable!”

“Destiny is amazing. I am so glad I found her. She was so kind and loving with my dog. I have a high energetic puppy and she took great care of him. Kept me posted through the day, took him to walks. I am so glad I found her. Her house is super clean which is a big thing for me because i am super clean. I will use destiny in future whenever I need someone to watch Milo.”

“Lindsey is great, and we are fortunate that we live near her. She is quick to respond, provides regular updates, and genuinely treats our pups like a member of her family during stays. It is a relief when we know Lindsey is looking after our pups.”

“Johnna took such great care of Luna. I felt completely comfortable knowing she was in good hands. We received pictures and updates that kept us feeling confident in her care. Thank you Johnna!”

“Great home with large backyard and plenty of tennis balls for our golden. Lots of picture updates throughout the day helped us feel like she was in our backyard. This couple is very patient and took extra care of our dog.”

“Darlene is so great and my little Nova loved being with her! She has a nice set up for the dogs and sends lots of photos/videos, which put my mind at ease. She is flexible, responsive and kind…already booked with her again!!”
“Derek and Leslie clearly love dogs and were patient with Ruby, who was a bit overwhelmed and grouchy when the other dogs approached her. Derek stayed in the backyard with Ruby and played on the pool with her, which is her favorite. Would definitely recommend for your more social dogs.”

“Dude had an amazing visit with Dongjun and Minkoung and their daughter. I would highly recommend this family to anyone looking for a sitter! Dude will forsure be back for another visit”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
