“Five stars, no hesitation. Luz came out to the curb to meet us at drop-off, which was such a thoughtful touch. There’s always that awkward moment as a first-time visitor where you’re not sure whether to knock or ring the doorbell, and she just took that off the table entirely. She followed all my care instructions carefully and, most impressively, rolled with a last-minute curveball: our younger dog ended up needing his neuter surgery earlier than expected, so she had to take on a whole set of post-op instructions with very little notice. She handled it without missing a beat. Her own dog was an absolute gem, calm, gentle, not a barker. That matters more than it might sound. I always worry about my dogs picking up bad habits from an anxious or reactive dog, and that was just never a concern here. Both of my dogs are Chihuahua mix puppies, which is exactly as much energy as it sounds like. She had nothing but kind things to say about them at pick-up, which honestly I appreciated, because I can barely say that about them on a high-energy day. Most telling: they were asleep within 60 seconds of getting in the car. That’s always my gold standard for a good stay. She was also wonderfully communicative throughout, sending pictures and videos regularly. I don’t always need that from a sitter, but with someone new, it means everything to know they’re being attentive. Luz absolutely was. I’ve used a number of sitters in the Roseville and Rocklin area over the years and honestly never walked away from a drop-off feeling truly at ease. This was the first time. I felt confident the whole time that my dogs were in the best possible hands. Highly recommend, especially if you have puppies or dogs with special needs.”

About: We take dogs up to 50 lbs. for boarding or daycare and only one family at a time. Our high school-aged sons (ages 17 and 15), my husband, and we will treat your pet as our own. Ryan can walk your dogs up to 5 miles per day and is home full-time. We have had pets in the past, but don't have any pets of our own at this time. We take up to three animals for boarding/daycare at a time, but only from the same family. We are loving, gentle, and fun and had dogs and cats growing up. We have a nice sized yard and live in a single story house. We'll take dogs up to 50 lbs in our home, up to 60 lbs for walks, and up to 75 lbs for drop-ins in your home. Only spayed/neutered animals please. For overnight stays, please have no more than 24 hours between drop-off and pick-up times. If picked up over 24 hours after dropped off, there may be a fee for 1 day of doggie daycare. Drop off and pick up times outside of 8am and 8pm may be negotiated. We are looking forward to helping our boys care for your pet. My shedule is flexible; if you have an emergency need for pet sitting, I’m your gal. I prefer to petsit at my client’s homes. The animals rather appreciate this. I like to meet the animal(s) before sitting so when I arrive, we have a connection. I give the animals plenty of one-on-one attention. This may include doggy massage to calm them and get to know them. Lots of walks if they like that. Potty Breaks every couple of hours to begin with, as they’re sometimes nervous or have stomach upsets. I’d like to know your favorite names for them, what your routines are, rituals, their favorite things to do. I’ve also stayed with animals after their surgeries to monitor when the owner has to work.

“Grant was FANTASTIC! Our dog had never been in doggie day care or boarding (2yo) and Grant helped to supervise her very closely, allow a gradual introduction with other dogs and make sure not to allow any aggression from any other dogs. He exercised the dogs outside and let them stay outside if they wished during daytime instead of crating at all, which was great! Grant also sent pictures and videos to ease my worried mind. I HIGHLY recommend Grant as a dogsitter!!”

About: I’ve had cats and dogs my whole life, and have trained several of my own dogs myself. I don’t currently have a doggo, but I do have cats and have been missing having them around! I frequently take care of my mom’s senior dog who requires several meals and medications per day, as well as my dad’s dog who is 5 and on medication as well! My entire childhood I helped dog/cat sit, and since I work remotely from home, I figured I could get started again. (: I’m a full time mental health therapist/social worker, that works from home! I have sessions that last 50 minutes each, with 10 minute breaks in between throughout the most of the day, as well as an hour or two lunch break. Because of my frequent breaks, I’m able to give frequent potty breaks, as well as walks throughout the day! I live in a downstairs two bed, two bath apartment, with plenty of space for your pets! All pets are allowed on furniture and have free access to roam, or have space to be separated from my cats if that makes you feel more comfortable. I will work to create a space that makes you and your pet feel the most comfortable possible! I also am comfortable with crate training, potty pads/training, and any other behavioral problems that can arise.
