About: Hi, my name is Jena. I am a life long pet owner and animal lover. I became a rover sitter after unexpectedly losing our family dog. I wasn’t ready for another puppy, but I missed having a dog at home. The experience has been so rewarding! Our entire family - from my husband and my father-in-law to our two kiddos - enjoys it. We are available for drop in visits, doggy daycare and boarding. And because there are 3 adults around, pets who stay with us are rarely, if ever, home alone. “Five stars, no hesitation. Luz came out to the curb to meet us at drop-off, which was such a thoughtful touch. There’s always that awkward moment as a first-time visitor where you’re not sure whether to knock or ring the doorbell, and she just took that off the table entirely. She followed all my care instructions carefully and, most impressively, rolled with a last-minute curveball: our younger dog ended up needing his neuter surgery earlier than expected, so she had to take on a whole set of post-op instructions with very little notice. She handled it without missing a beat. Her own dog was an absolute gem, calm, gentle, not a barker. That matters more than it might sound. I always worry about my dogs picking up bad habits from an anxious or reactive dog, and that was just never a concern here. Both of my dogs are Chihuahua mix puppies, which is exactly as much energy as it sounds like. She had nothing but kind things to say about them at pick-up, which honestly I appreciated, because I can barely say that about them on a high-energy day. Most telling: they were asleep within 60 seconds of getting in the car. That’s always my gold standard for a good stay. She was also wonderfully communicative throughout, sending pictures and videos regularly. I don’t always need that from a sitter, but with someone new, it means everything to know they’re being attentive. Luz absolutely was. I’ve used a number of sitters in the Roseville and Rocklin area over the years and honestly never walked away from a drop-off feeling truly at ease. This was the first time. I felt confident the whole time that my dogs were in the best possible hands. Highly recommend, especially if you have puppies or dogs with special needs.”

About: We always had dogs in my family. Growing up our Dog was a family member in fact definitely mom‘s favourite child! My wife and I have been married almost 40 years and dogs have been our children. We both love dogs and having recently lost our own girl of 14 years so we have a lot of love to give I understand what it takes to intrust your beloved pet to someone, I would treat any pet in my care like it was my own child!! With lots and lots of love there’s a huge park we could walk to right down the street from our house which is private in our village we love taking our puppies down there to socialise and or just walk. There’s also 2 miles worth of walking trails in our community. Well first off we give them lots and lots of love!! We’ve always had dogs that are allowed on the furniture and sleep on our bed however we will follow the directions of its owner. We like to take them for walks and play with them and keep them mentally active as well as physically. We would always walk them on a leash and take great care when they are around any other kind of animals or people. Basically, we would treat them with the greatest care like we would our own child! And of course give them lots and lots of love.

I am not currently working so I am available at any time, I don’t have a crazy busy schedule. I would also volunteer in high school at an emergency vet clinic. I've also cat sat for my neighbors for a generous number of times. I still have my first dog from when I was five so hopefully that's a good sign :) I'm available throughout the week depending on my schedule from my primary job. Most of the time I'll for sure be able to pet sit after 3pm. On weekends I'm fully available. I will take your dog(s) on various walks throughout the day if needed. If you have a cat(s) I will routinely clean the litter box and play with them if they like with a toy. For any animal I will water is out for the thirsty pets. And I will feed based on your request.
About: I have watched many dogs, cats, and more from when I was around eight years old until now. I love animals of all shapes and sizes. I have volunteer experience with dogs and cats from the SPCA as well. I have some experience working with farm animals such as horses and chickens. I used to have a pet bird and have also pet sat tortoises before too!
