“I highly recommend Dale for your dog sitting needs! She was always on time and very easy to communicate with. Her extensive experience with animals and her warm, soothing demeanor made me feel very comfortable with her taking care of my 4 month old puppy.”

About: I grew up in a home filled with both dogs and cats, which sparked my lifelong love for animals. I’ve been pet sitting for 8 years, gaining hands-on experience with pets of all ages and temperaments. My mom was a dog sitter for Rover, and by helping her, I learned invaluable skills in animal care and behavior. In high school, I took it a step further by running my own pet sitting business, building trust with clients and ensuring their pets were happy, healthy, and safe. My experience includes caring for puppies, senior pets, and administering basic medications, making me well-equipped to meet a variety of pet care needs. I am a dedicated full-time student-athlete with a flexible schedule, available in the mornings, midday, and evenings to walk, feed, and care for your pets. My availability is consistent Sunday through Thursday, with occasional openings on Fridays and Saturdays. I prioritize safety, trust, and creating a comfortable environment for pets while in my care. I follow all instructions provided by the client, ensuring their routines are maintained to reduce stress. Whether it’s feeding, walking, or playtime, I stay attentive to the pet’s needs and behavior, keeping an eye out for any signs of discomfort or distress. I treat every client’s home with the utmost respect, leaving it just as I found it. My goal is to provide pets with a safe, loving, and familiar environment so both they and their owners can feel at ease.
“I am more than thrilled with my experience with Jenna and judging by my cat’s behavior, he was also very happy to have her care for him while I was gone. This is the first time (I’ve had him almost 17 years) that I’ve left town and noticed in the photos she sent and his behavior when I came home that he was not distressed or scared. He’s old and I worry about him, but I could sense he was in good hands. She accommodated his eating schedule very well and gave me great details along with a photo of him at each visit. I highly recommend Jenna and will be using her again. Thank you Jenna!”

“Deanna was amazing! My cats fell in love with her and looked forward to her visits. She was loving, sweet, and gentle with my cats. She communicated with me very well and I have nothing but amazing things to say about her. She's definitely my go to kitty sitter from now on =] Thank you so much, Deanna!”

“Jena is beyond amazing! I honestly can't say enough great things about the care she provided to our dog, Addy, while my husband and I went away for the weekend. We had never used Rover.com before, but it was so nice to get the check-ins and the pictures Jena sent showing how happy Addy was and that she was being well cared for. We even had a slight change in our plans, and Jena was very accommodating. Jena went above and beyond! I highly recommend her and would love to have her care for Addy again!! :)”

“Jae was very responsive and punctual throughout the whole booking process. Jae understood and respected our unique needs and concerns. I have peace of mind knowing that I can count on Jae for future visits when I go on vacation.”

“Lauren took wonderful care of my 3 1/2 month old GSD puppy that can be a handful (typical puppy). She followed my training requests, sent photos, handled her with patience, and left everything in my home as it was. Thank you, Lauren!!”
About: I am able to feed, walk, cuddle, play, and do all things necessary to make your pet feel comfortable and happy in their own environment! I have grown up with two dogs and since moving out, I now care for a cat of my own. My work schedule consists typically of either very early mornings or afternoons, but I am willing to work around yours and your pets schedules! I have a cat of my own and I absolutely love playing and cuddling with her. I also provide her wet food daily. I used to have two dogs when I lived at home as well so I have experience with taking care of dogs too. I am able to play with your pets as well as give them the sufficient time outside playing and walking, feed them at the appropriate times, and overall accompany them while their person is away!
About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience with animals and my calm, reliable approach to pet care. I grew up around dogs, cats, and other animals, and spent 7 years riding horses competitively, which gave me a strong understanding of animal behavior, responsibility, and consistent care routines. In addition to caring for my own pets, I’ve spent years dog sitting, cat sitting, and walking dogs for friends and family. I’m comfortable with pets of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels, and I always take time to learn each pet’s routine and preferences. I also bring a professional, dependable approach to pet care. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet and your home, and I prioritize communication, reliability, and making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to provide attentive and reliable pet care. I work a hybrid role with a mix of remote and on-site work, and my schedule varies throughout the week. This flexibility allows me to accommodate morning, midday, evening, and weekend visits depending on your pet’s needs. On days I work remotely, I’m able to provide more frequent check-ins, walks, and companionship. When I’m on-site, I plan my schedule carefully to ensure pets are still cared for consistently and on time. Whether your pet needs regular walks, drop-ins, or overnight care, I’m committed to building a dependable routine that works for both you and your pet. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize maintaining their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I take time to understand each pet’s schedule, feeding routine, walking preferences, and any special instructions to ensure consistency and reduce stress. Safety is always a top priority. I make sure pets are securely leashed during walks, keep doors and gates closed, and remain mindful of each pet’s behavior and comfort level. I also pay close attention to any changes in behavior or health and communicate promptly if anything seems unusual. I respect your home as if it were my own. I keep spaces clean and tidy, follow any household guidelines, and ensure your home remains secure while you’re away. I’m also happy to provide updates, photos, and check-ins so you can feel confident knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.
“LIsa was very easy to communicate with and took great care of our 2 dogs. Our youngest is a rescue pup and she is skittish so this was the first time we had someone take care of her and having Lisa was a huge peace of mind for us. We will definitely rebook with her again.”

“Joanna did great and watched over my pups exactly as expected. She went above and beyond w/ the walks and even gave my girl insulin like a pro. I would highly recommend her for dogs needing consistency w/ your handling perferences. She followed mine to the tee! She will be our first choice for the next time.”

About: I grew up on a ranch with all kinds of animals, so I’ve taken care of every size from quail to horses. I started watching other people’s animals when I was 13, from feeding friends 4H projects to staying at a house with someone’s dog. I’m currently working part time and am about to end my senior year at Sacramento State. I typically have evenings free and a couple hours in the morning depending on my schedule for the week. I’m very flexible and willing to work around or with anything! My work schedule does come out weekly so I cannot guarantee that I will be available at the same time every week and my shifts vary in length. I don’t offer care in my own home currently as I live in an apartment. But I’m more than willing to watch them in your home to help them stay in their routine!
“Ella did a fantastic job with pet sitting for our cat Patch this past weekend. My husband and I went away to celebrate his birthday and were so lucky to have someone as wonderful as Ella to take care of our baby while we were gone. She was on time everyday (even early!!) fed him, did his litter, played with him, and sent us pictures every visit also! She also is very quick with answering messages which is a huge plus. Patch is usually very shy and timid with new people but with Ella he was so outgoing and seemed very comfortable with her, that made us so happy to see. Ella would get more than 5 stars if we could, she is the perfect person to trust your pets with, we definitely will be rebooking with her in the future!! Thank you so much Ella, you are the best!”

About: I’ve grown up with bigger dogs as well as taken care of all types of breeds. I began watching dogs when I was a nanny back in 2016. The family I worked for had two large dogs that I would feed, watch while they were on vacation, and walk/ play with them. I also have been around people who have trained dogs for dog shows and have minimal knowledge of that as well. I am also a cat lover and have one of my own. I’m a responsible mom who will make sure your furry babies are cared for while you are away. My work week is Monday to Friday with regular 8 hour work days. Weekends I am free to stay or check on animals more frequently. When I go to someone home that I am taking care of a pet I always make sure I understand the normal behavior for the pet. I want to know what their diet looks like, their energy levels and what their regular routines look like. Every pet is different and requires different needs. I always make sure to request information like emergency vet numbers and if you are somewhere you cannot be reached who is the next point of contact. I want to make sure all animals are happy and safe!
About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and grew up with pit bulls and cats, so caring for pets has always come naturally to me! I currently have a sweet 2-year-old pit bull named Alfie and a playful 1-year-old cat named Toast, so I understand how important it is to have someone you truly trust caring for your babies. I’ve been pet sitting on the side for the past few years and am now excited to make it my full-time job because it’s something I genuinely love doing. I’m experienced with puppies, senior pets, large dogs, medications, and pets with all different personalities and energy levels. Whether your dog wants an active run buddy, long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or a calm comforting presence, I’m happy to match their vibe! I also offer overnight stays, drop-ins, basic bathing, drying, and brushing. I’m very flexible while still staying organized and reliable, and I always treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. 💖 Im transitioning into making petsitting my full time job and business so im available every day of the week. If you have anymore questions please feel free to ask. I don’t do a lot of boarding in my home so if you have questions regarding that please ask. I know how nerve-wracking it can feel leaving your pet with someone else, because I’m the exact same way with my own animals. I think pets can tell when someone genuinely likes being around them, and I always try to make them feel comfortable instead of forcing anything. Some pets want attention right away, some need space first, and I’m good at reading that. My goal is really just for your pet to feel safe, relaxed, and loved while you’re gone — and for you to not have to worry the whole time.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
