About: I’ve lived with pets since I was a little kid! I love animals of all kinds, and do my utmost to keep them happy and healthy. I have mainly experience with most types of cats, and smaller dogs. I'm currently off college for the summer, so pretty much any time should work with some notice! I have others at home to take care of my animals if I'm on an extended stay, so I can stay as long as needed. I do all I can to keep your pets happy and safe, I've looked after animals most of my life, so I believe I have some experience! I’ll ensure to follow any guidance you give, and give them plenty of love and care.
“Barbara was amazing while we were gone for a long weekend. She updated us with pictures of all four of our cats at visits and she was always easy to talk to - kind & warm! She also made sure our senior cat got his transdermal meds every night, which was a big concern of ours!! Thank you for also cleaning up kitty messes during visits Barbara! (Especially the 'exploded' catnip banana! 😱) We felt so at ease knowing she was taking care of our kitto's; we would absolutely book again!”

“Ayla did a great job caring for our cat, Ozzy. She was reliable and flexible. Ozzy, who is normally shy, came out for each visit. We will definitely be using Ayla’s services in the future!”

About: Hi, I'm Carissa! I've owned and cared for cats, birds, snakes, horses, guinea pigs, and other small animals, plus I have experience caring for and training dogs. Whatever pet you have, I'm comfortable and confident meeting their unique needs. I offer house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walks. As a certified personal trainer with an active lifestyle, your dog will get real exercise and engagement not just a quick potty break. Caring for animals genuinely brings me joy, and when you book with me, your pet gets treated like family. I am currently working full time. 6a-3p. Tuesday-Saturday. I am available anytime of the day on Sundays and Mondays for your pet care needs. Since all of my services take place in the client's home, my top priority is making sure pets feel safe and comfortable in their own environment. For dog walking, I follow any feeding, exercise, and leash routines the owner has established, and always keep dogs secure and supervised. For drop-in visits and pet sitting, I stick to the pet's normal schedule as closely as possible, feeding times, medications, play, and any specific preferences the owner shares. With house sitting, I'm there in the mornings/after work so dogs and cats never feel alone or anxious, and I treat the home with the same care I'd give my own. I always keep owners updated with photos and check-ins, and I reach out right away if anything comes up.
About: Looking for responsible and enthusiastic dog care? You’ve come to the right place! although I have only been on the Rover app for about a few years, I have many years of experience in pet care. I have had dogs since I was a child and have always had a love for all animals. I have been trusted to dog and house sit for friends and family and find so much fulfillment taking care and playing with fur babies! (Of all ages of course!) I have experience with both small and large dogs and don’t mind jumping dogs either! I have always taken both my dogs growing up on walks and still do when I go visit my parents! I am very active so walking and playing with a hyper dog isn’t a problem for me! My childhood miniature poodle is now 14, so I understand the fragility of dogs that are getting on the older side as well. I have such love for all animals and I’m looking forward to meeting you and your pet! Please contact me for more information or any questions. Thank you! I currently am a 25 year old grad student at Sacramento state university, and I am in the teaching credential program! My school schedule varies, but I always have days during the week where I’m home most of the day and would love to spend that time pet walking/pet sitting. I am a very good listener and understand that everyone has different needs for their pets. I follow instructions to how YOU would like me to care for your animal and I always do so with the upmost love and respect for your animal and your home. Doors will always be double checked to make sure they are closed and locked. Dogs will get taken out for potty breaks often. Animals will receive lots of attention and play time.
About: I’ve always believed dogs are the purest source of unconditional love. I’ve been around dogs my entire life. From Lilly the St. Bernard, to Quinn the Shih-Tzu… from Sandy the dainty Doberman, to Pablo the toothless Chihuahua. I can’t think of a better way to spend my time than caring for animals. From cats and dogs, to goats and chickens… I’m happy to keep them comfortable while you’re away. I would love to know if there’s anything special I can do for your pets. I’m ready to make sure they’re content, happy, and entertained.
“Sarah came by for a meet and greet and did an excellent job connecting with our special needs dog despite the interference of our two typical (and very jealous) dogs. She didn't hesitate at all to get down onto their level (the floor) and win them all over. Looking forward to having her back for some walks and having her do some dog sitting for us!”
“Justin is easy to work with and a great communicator. We appreciated that he got back to us right away to confirm his availability and provided twice daily updates on our dogs. We won’t hesitate to recommend him to our friends and neighbors. Thanks Justin!”

“This was our first time hiring Amy. We were very pleased with her professionalism and our two Main Coon cats loved her:) she was prompt, and sent us pictures of our fur babies while we were away on an overnight trip to Santa Cruise for my birthday. It was so good to know that our babies were in her good and capable hands while we were away. We will definitely be hiring her again in the near future! Thank you Amy!! ?”

About: I know how to read animals well and what they need, especially dogs since I have one at home. Cats are easy to take care of for me as well (I have 3!) I’m currently working full-time on weekdays from 6am-2pm, but I have all day after 2 to take care of my animals and make sure their needs are met while keeping them good company. I’m interested in only offering housesitting and drop in visits as my services, just because I don’t currently live in a house with a backyard which would make any other services difficult.
“Kyla was amazing! She and our dog, Riley, got along really well. She was very attentive to Riley’s needs and was very quick to update us with any news! We would highly recommend her to anyone in the area. 10/10 would recommend”

I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! Makaila was so kind and caring, and it was clear from the start how much she genuinely loves animals. Makaila kept in great communication with me throughout the stay and sent the cutest pictures that gave me so much peace of mind. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lakeridge Oaks. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
