Pet sitting is my only job while I'm attending school at a local college, so I’m able to offer reliable and flexible care year-round! During the school year, I take hybrid classes and am only on campus for a few hours at a time, which leaves plenty of room in my day to provide dedicated attention to your pets. Plus I have even more availability over summer break, and I’m always local during the holidays!

I believe pets are family, and I take that responsibility extremely seriously. Your companions’ safety and well-being are always my top priority, and I’ll care for them as if they were my own. I always want to be prepared for anything, so I will ask for info like your vet’s contact, emergency contacts, and the location of essentials like carriers, harnesses, fire extinguishers, etc., as applicable. When outdoor temperatures reach 85°F or higher, I’ll swap walks for a potty break and indoor play to keep your pup safe, cool, and comfortable.

A typical day
I love providing both the mental and physical stimulation that your pets need for a happy, healthy life. Every animal is different, so I tailor each visit/stay to match their needs - whether that’s a long walk*, a fun play session, or just some calm company and cuddles. My goal is always to keep your furry friend happy, stimulated, and comfortable while you’re away. *When outdoor temperatures reach 85°F or higher, walks will be swapped for a potty break and indoor enrichment to keep your pet safe, cool, and comfortable.

Leaving our pets behind can be tough - I’m here to make it easier by providing thoughtful, reliable care every time. I’ve had the pleasure of looking after a wide range of animals throughout my life, including birds, rodents, fish, and even livestock. (Are you the proud parent of a conure? Message me please!!) I’m comfortable administering medication of all varieties. I also bring transferable skills from my experience caring for disabled children and young-adults with special medical needs, so I’m no stranger to complex care routines, and I can handle the “gross” stuff! I love animals, and they love me – my roommate’s tabby cat is asleep in my lap as I type this (check out the 4th pic in my gallery if you’d like to see her!)

Emmi does such a good job trying to understand the needs of each dog. She is so patient and an excellent communicator.
I wish I could give Emmi 6 stars! She did an awesome job. She is very organized and thorough, asked many great questions and took notes. During her stay she sent amazing pics of our pets, and went above and beyond to make sure they each got exercise and attention. She even left the house in better condition than we left it! We were able to really relax and enjoy our trip knowing our animals were safe and sound and keeping to their usual routines. We will absolutely be booking Emmi for future sitting!
