“We had a great experience with Deborah! She was super nice, very communicative, and kept us updated on our two dogs throughout the stay. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. We’d absolutely book with her again!”

“Ronni is the best!! She took care of not only our two cats but also our anxious pup and he loved her! He warmed up super quick and was very comfortable. Ronni is great and we will continue to ask her back whenever we are planning a trip!”

“Meredith is awesome! She took great care of our high energy labradoodle, Pepper, while we were out of town for one week. She took extensive notes during our meet-and-greet prior to our trip and was great with Pepper from the start. We received daily updates while we were out of town and came home to a tired and happy pup. She was also a great guest in our home and left everything very clean. Thanks for taking such great care of Pepper, Meredith!”

“Omg thank u soooo much Deanna. My dogs were in such good moods when I came home- soft and happy! Thank you for taking care of everything 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 one of my boys needs extra behavioral attention on walks. Deanna was fantastic. I highly recommend. She’s a gem!!!!”

About: Dogs have always been one of the biggest parts of my life. I’ve been lucky to share my life with dogs of all ages, breeds, and personalities, and each one has taught me something different. For nearly ten years, I had my soul dog, Jax, a German Shepherd who completely changed my life. He taught me patience, trust, communication, and the depth of the bond we share with our dogs. Losing him deepened my appreciation for every moment we get with them and strengthened my commitment to caring for every dog with the same love and attention I’d want for my own. Today, I share my home with three wonderful dogs, each with their own unique personality, energy level, and quirks. Living with them has only reinforced what Jax taught me: every dog is different, and the best care comes from taking the time to understand what makes each one feel safe, happy, and loved. I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening visits. I’ll always make sure to learn your dog’s routine and preferences so I can provide care that feels familiar and comfortable. You can also expect plenty of photos and updates while you’re away. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else, and I don’t take that lightly. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or quiet company, my goal is to make them feel safe, understood, and cared for. Every dog has a story, and I’d love the chance to be part of yours. Pet care is a consistent and important part of my weekly routine. I offer flexible availability for dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting throughout Granite Bay, Roseville, and Folsom. I’m typically available mornings, afternoons, and evenings, and I do my best to accommodate both regular schedules and occasional last-minute needs when possible. I enjoy building consistency with the dogs I care for, whether that’s daily walks, check-ins, or overnight stays. I plan my schedule around bookings to ensure each pet receives my full attention, without feeling rushed. I’m also communicative and reliable with timing, updates, and coordination so everything runs smoothly for both pets and owners. Safety, comfort, and consistency are my top priorities when providing dog walking, house sitting, drop-in visits, and in-home pet care. Before any booking, I take time to learn your dog’s routine, personality, energy level, training cues, triggers, and any medical or dietary needs. This helps me provide consistent care and reduces stress while you’re away. I’m comfortable caring for puppies, adult dogs, senior dogs, and multi-dog households, and I always adjust my approach based on each dog’s individual needs. For dog walking, I use secure leashes or harnesses and stay fully attentive to surroundings at all times. I prioritize safe, structured walks and avoid unfamiliar or unsafe interactions with other animals. For drop-in visits and house sitting, I maintain your dog’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, medication (if needed), playtime, and companionship. When providing in-home boarding or house sitting, I keep a calm, clean, and respectful environment and follow all household instructions closely. I prioritize secure doors, gates, and supervision to ensure pets are always safe and comfortable in their own environment. I currently live with three dogs, so I’m very familiar with managing different personalities, energy levels, and boundaries in a shared space. I always prioritize safe introductions and only allow interaction when appropriate for all pets involved. You can expect clear communication, regular updates, and photos during every service so you always know how your dog is doing. My goal is to provide reliable, trustworthy pet care that keeps your dog safe, happy, and comfortable—and gives you complete peace of mind while you’re away.
“Heather did a fantastic job caring for James (my cat) and my two dogs. She was very communicative, respectful, and made sure everyone was well taken care of. I felt at ease knowing they were in her hands. Highly recommend!”

“This was my first experience using Rover and I was very happy with it. I was lucky to come across Judy's profile and she was exactly what I was looking for! She was friendly and sweet as well as professional. My dogs took to her immediately! It's hard to find someone who is willing to take on three dogs especially for 3 weeks! But Judy was very open to it! She sent us videos and photos of the dogs while we were gone, which I really appreciated! I missed them a ton! She was also very responsive to my texts! She stayed at the house and was very respectful and clean! My dogs and home were in great hands! I'm glad I found Judy and I'll definitely be using her services again. ????”

“olivia took such good care of my mae girl. went out of state to be with family for the holidays and i needed someone to house sit because mae is incredibly anxious and shy. she has great communication and kept our house clean. thanks olivia!!! i would recommend her to anyone and look forward to booking her again in the future.”

“Julia watched our two dogs for the week we were on vacation. She did an absolutely wonderful job with them, the house, and communication! Will be rebooking with Julia in the future :)”

About: I grew up with a ton of dogs on a ranch so I have always loved animals. I have housesat, walked, watched, etc. All types of dogs from tiny poodles to giant great Pyrenees. I also have experience with cats, birds, and other pets! Animals and pets are so sweet and special and I love making them happy :) I'm currently looking for jobs in my field so I'm happy for pets to fill up my schedule until then. With enough notice I can be available for weeks, weekends, or whenever needed I personally have a fenced in yard that my dog loves to play fetch in. I always try to make the pet happy by spending lots of time with them and helping them feel included whenever possible
“Amy was extremely easy to work with when booking a last minute dog/house sitting service. She took great care of our pups and our home. I would definitely use her again and would recommend her to friends/family.”

“Brandie you are amazing! Mishka and Nuggy had a great time with you. The home looks better than how we left it. Loved the daily videos/picture check ins. Hope to book you again in the future!”

“Our boys absolutely LOVE Julia! We had booked her previously over a vacation, and booked her again recently while we attended a conference. She did a WONDERFUL job. I was a bit worried our big nervous guy wouldn't remember her, but he absolutely did. Within an hour of her coming in the house (after we had already left) he gave her his signature LEAN and snuggles with his entire 92 pound body, demanding exactly ALL of the belly skritches and attention!”

About: I’ve always been an animal lover. I’ve had pets since I can remember, I’ve fostered, trained and pet sit all the time. I have experience with dogs anywhere from puppies to seniors. Im currently a freshman at the university of Arizona studying to become a nurse. I’m home for the summer and leave late August and would love to help out with your pets! I love all animals and have had so many pets growing up. I enjoy fostering, helping out dogs in the shelters and more. I live on a 5 acre fenced in yard, where my dogs love to run around and play. I have two dogs both females, one’s a lab and one’s a dachshund mix. I also have a cat who loves our dogs, but spends most of her days sleeping inside. Our dogs spend most of their time both inside and outside the house. They sleep inside and usually get up in the morning around 6:30am.
About: I have been actively taking care of pets my whole life. I love animals and treat them like my own children. I have a 10 year old daughter who is on her way to become a vet and wife who loves pets just as much! I work from home and can accommodate your schedule at anytime needed. I would be happy to make sure that your pet has the best experience. I have a fully fenced yard on a quiet street. I allow pets to use any furniture they would like to make themselves a home
“Madalyn has become part of the family taking care of our 2 Cavapoo puppies while we were on vacation. We had complete confidence that our puppies and the house would be taken care of as she supported us with multiple flight changes. We know how much effort goes into to watching Bruno and Lucy with house training and puppy play!!”

Ayla was amazing! We went out of the country for over a week and we were able to enjoy ourselves and not worry about our house and dogs. Her communication was great and she sent us several pictures of our pups looking comfortable and happy. We would definitely recommend her and we will definitely be asking her to help us out again. Thanks again, Ayla!!

Sabrina is absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend her services. My animals loved having her stay at the house, and she gave them so much attention, care, and love. They looked very content and relaxed in all the pics. Thank you for everything, Sabrina. The pups and Archie can't wait to see you again very soon!

Makaila is very sweet. Our dog took to her immediately and let her pet him right away. He usually takes awhile to warm up to people. We knew that was a good sign. She took good care of him and our house while we were gone. Everything looked great when we returned. We would definitely recommend Makaila.

We are so grateful to Sarah for her thoughtful care of Remi and our house. Remi got her long walks everyday - even in the pouring rain! Great daily updates to keep us posted. The house was very well cared for and in perfect order when we got home. We will very gladly have Sarah back anytime!

I wish I could give Emmi 6 stars! She did an awesome job. She is very organized and thorough, asked many great questions and took notes. During her stay she sent amazing pics of our pets, and went above and beyond to make sure they each got exercise and attention. She even left the house in better condition than we left it! We were able to really relax and enjoy our trip knowing our animals were safe and sound and keeping to their usual routines. We will absolutely be booking Emmi for future sitting!

David is a good person and you can tell when you talk with him. Our dog is quite difficult in some areas, mainly anxiety around people and on walks. David listened to our requests and respected all of them, all while keeping our house tidy too. His communication was excellent, and if David is still dog sitting we will use his help again. I would recommend him to friends/family. Thank you David!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Lakeridge Oaks on Rover is $48.84 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 2,649 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Lakeridge Oaks. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lakeridge Oaks walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lakeridge Oaks maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lakeridge Oaks choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
