About: I have been actively taking care of pets my whole life. I love animals and treat them like my own children. I have a 10 year old daughter who is on her way to become a vet and wife who loves pets just as much! I work from home and can accommodate your schedule at anytime needed. I would be happy to make sure that your pet has the best experience. I have a fully fenced yard on a quiet street. I allow pets to use any furniture they would like to make themselves a home
“Kyla did an excellent job taking care of our dogs while we were away. She was very quick to respond and asked great questions to prepare herself for our dogs needs. We appreciate you Kyla!”

“Madalyn has become part of the family taking care of our 2 Cavapoo puppies while we were on vacation. We had complete confidence that our puppies and the house would be taken care of as she supported us with multiple flight changes. We know how much effort goes into to watching Bruno and Lucy with house training and puppy play!!”

About: Hi! I’m Betty and I’m new to the Sacramento area! I’d love to meet the local pets and get to now the best parks and trails to take with your pups/kitties! Friendly with non traditional pets too! Snakes, tarantulas, geckos, birds, fish, etc. Currently 1 month out from graduation and have an open schedule to meet all your pets needs! I look forward to many walks and cuddling time with the doggies! I’m very energetic and can match the high energy dogs! I love to play fetch, keep away, and tug o war with the pets on my drop ins! My goal is to tire the doggies out before the visit is over :) The most important thing for me is forming a bond with the pets and safety of course! This would involve long walks and tons of cuddle time as well had following house rules :)
“Ayla was a fantastic pet sitter. She took care of our dog Henry and our cat Emily. She’s dependable, trustworthy, and went over and above our expectations. We didn’t have to worry about anything. We could relax on our trip knowing everything was going well with the care of our pets. She took lots of pics and shared them with us several times a day that we were gone. We will definitively use Ayla again. Thanks Ayla!!”

About: I have had experience in dog sitting and walking puppies! I have always wanted a dog but just do not have the room for it at home so pet sitting for friends has always been something I have loved doing! I make sure to care for pets with as much love as I can! Seeing a stranger come into your home can be daunting so I try to be as graceful as possible when meeting and interacting with the clients pets!
“Michele came and stayed at our home overnight with our 13-week old Goldendoodle puppy and she was terrific with him! She was great about sending us text messages and photos of her time with him. I would highly recommend Michele to watch your precious pet, and will definitely use her again in the future!”

“Kayla is wonderful! She is a great communicator and asks appropriate questions. She did great caring for our two senior dogs. We are looking forward to our next trip so Kayla can come again!”

“This was my first experience using Rover and I was very happy with it. I was lucky to come across Judy's profile and she was exactly what I was looking for! She was friendly and sweet as well as professional. My dogs took to her immediately! It's hard to find someone who is willing to take on three dogs especially for 3 weeks! But Judy was very open to it! She sent us videos and photos of the dogs while we were gone, which I really appreciated! I missed them a ton! She was also very responsive to my texts! She stayed at the house and was very respectful and clean! My dogs and home were in great hands! I'm glad I found Judy and I'll definitely be using her services again. ????”

“Brandie did and amazing job of watching our four big dogs. The had some special medical needs that she accomadated and we got photos plus great communication. We will definitely be using her again.”

Whatever pet you have, I'm comfortable and confident meeting their unique needs. I offer house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walks. For drop-in visits and pet sitting, I stick to the pet's normal schedule as closely as possible, feeding times, medications, play, and any specific preferences the owner shares. With house sitting, I'm there in the mornings/after work so dogs and cats never feel alone or anxious, and I treat the home with the same care I'd give my own. Sabrina is absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend her services. My animals loved having her stay at the house, and she gave them so much attention, care, and love. They looked very content and relaxed in all the pics. Thank you for everything, Sabrina. The pups and Archie can't wait to see you again very soon!

Makaila is very sweet. Our dog took to her immediately and let her pet him right away. He usually takes awhile to warm up to people. We knew that was a good sign. She took good care of him and our house while we were gone. Everything looked great when we returned. We would definitely recommend Makaila.

We are so grateful to Sarah for her thoughtful care of Remi and our house. Remi got her long walks everyday - even in the pouring rain! Great daily updates to keep us posted. The house was very well cared for and in perfect order when we got home. We will very gladly have Sarah back anytime!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lakeridge Oaks walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lakeridge Oaks maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lakeridge Oaks choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
