About: French bulldog mom and cat mom too. I’m a retired dental hygienist of 30 yrs & decided to stay home after my french bulldog was diagnosed with spinal issues (IVDD) & had surgery at age 3 at UC Davis. She has other health problems like IBD, luxating patella’s, food sensitivities & frequent UTIs, we got her while living in HI and unfortunately wasn’t from the best breeder. She is now 7 and doing great but Im still cautious of who I leave her with because I feel most people don’t understand the seriousness of her disease because she looks healthy. This is why I wanted to help others with their pets because I feel I’ve learned so much from Baloo. I find that most people with frenchies are uncomfortable leaving them because they tend to have more health problems than most and it is hard to find people we trust with them. I also have a cat named Kona who we got in HI. I want to know my animals are being loved and cared for properly when I’m away and I want to do that for you and your pets. I also have volunteered here in CA at the SPCA and Hanauma Bay in Hawaii. When pet sitting at a clients home I stay longer than most pet sitters, including my own. I usually only leave the clients home to attend to my own pets & home for 3-4 hrs per day. And sometimes I will do a drop in visit for another client during that period of time. I feel that most animals can go for 3-4 hrs before the next potty break, but of course I will personalize each clients needs. I love animals and have always had a cat and a dog and when our boys were younger we had guinea pigs, pot bellied pigs, rabbits, chickens, ducks and goats. Now that I’m retired from dental hygiene I’m available for your pets when needed. My care for my French bulldog may look different than for most pets because of her spinal issues. We have ramps and gates throughout the house, keeping her from jumping. Food bowls are raised since she had neck surgery. She eats 3 x a day because of her IBD with snacks. And she’s let out to potty frequently because of her UTIs. We have beds throughout the house so she’s never lying on the floor and our cat uses them too. And of course there is always fresh water for both my dog and cat. Both animals are kept inside unless we are outside with them. I would care for your pets as you ask me to because no pets are the same. I want you to feel comfortable that your pets will be well cared for.
2. Lisa S.
“Lisa is amazing!! It was our first time using Rover as we just moved to the area and we were a little nervous leaving our cats with someone new. On top of that, right after we booked with her and confirmed everything, our kitten became extremely sick and needed daily injections to save her life. This doubly increased our anxiety as now we had to rely on someone else to keep our baby alive while we went home for the holidays. We had to change our booking schedule not only once but twice due to dosage changes and Lisa was so flexible and accommodating. She kept our worries at bay by sending great updates and pictures each day after her visit as well as perfectly administering our kitten’s injections (which were NOT fun, the medicine burns while it’s administered but Lisa handled it easily each day). We even ran out of cat food (facepalm) and Lisa was kind enough to run out to the store and pick us up some more without us asking her to. If you want a pet sitter to care about your babies, then Lisa is the perfect candidate! I can’t say enough positive things about her and our experience using her services.”

9. Shannon F.
About: I have had animals all my life. I grew up around horses, big dogs, little dogs and cats. I love animals and just want to do more of it. I work as a part time barista with a set schedule so I know exactly what my schedule will be. I go to college all online so there isn’t any long classes where you’re pet would be alone. Overall I have a very open schedule. One thing I’m always concerned about is safety for animals. Animals are our babies and when I house sit or walk them, I need to know everything like medication, reactions, aggressiveness exc. The same thing goes with the house. I always like to know the majority of needed information.

16. Rylie Z.
“Rylie is a wonderful caretaker for my dog Rupert and my cat Roxy. I can trust her to feed, walk, and care for all of their needs and have left them with her for days at a time with not a single issue whatsoever. She is very attentive and has good sense with animals and safety. Rylie always keeps me updated with how my pets are doing and is very good at communicating anything that is happening in a timely manner. She helps my pets behave more and knows how to control both of them. She is a very resourceful and responsible woman who you can depend on to care for and love your pets.”
17. Michelle B.
“Sometimes you meet someone that you just feel like you've known forever, that is Michelle! She took care of our Frenchie Zoey like she was her own. She sent me pictures of her and Zoey on walks and I never had to worry about our baby Zoey at all. She is also a real estate agent/broker, which made us feel more comfortable as she is a working professional. She was wonderful and I highly recommend her!”

19. Heather R.
About: Hi, my name is Heather! I’m 25 and a licensed cosmetologist. I have been dog sitting for five years now. I started off doing it full time back in 2018, but when I was in beauty school and working I took a step back as I was short on time and felt I couldn’t give pups the attention they deserve. Now, I’m looking to get back into it full-time as I am completely out of work due to some ongoing health issues. I have had a dog in my household ever since I was born, all types of breeds and sizes ranging from chihuahuas, Pomeranians, aussies, pitties, etc. Can’t wait to meet your fur baby! 💗 As I mentioned above, I am currently out of work so I am very flexible with walking, potty and feeding times. If anything else is needed as well I will gladly take that on. Lots of love and creating that trust between yourself and the dog. Also sticking as close to schedule as possible, if they have one, to keep things normalized for them while their humans are away.
