“Barbara was amazing while we were gone for a long weekend. She updated us with pictures of all four of our cats at visits and she was always easy to talk to - kind & warm! She also made sure our senior cat got his transdermal meds every night, which was a big concern of ours!! Thank you for also cleaning up kitty messes during visits Barbara! (Especially the 'exploded' catnip banana! 😱) We felt so at ease knowing she was taking care of our kitto's; we would absolutely book again!”

“I couldn’t be happier with the care my dog received this weekend! From the start, they were communicative, reliable, and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. They treated my dog like family, provided updates, and made sure all of their needs were met. It was clear my dog was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I would absolutely trust them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and dependable dog sitter. Thank you so much for taking such great care of my pup!”

“5/5 Stars! I am absolutely thrilled with the exceptional care Hillary and her husband provided to my beloved dog, Taz! From the moment I dropped Taz off, I knew I was leaving him in capable and compassionate hands. Despite a few unexpected mishaps, including Taz's Houdini-like escape into a prepared crate in the house, Hillary and her husband handled the situation with professionalism and calm. They ensured Taz was safe, happy, and fed on time, giving me complete peace of mind while I was away. What truly sets Hillary and her husband apart, however, is the genuine love and care they show to the dogs in their charge. It's clear they have a deep passion for animals and take the time to understand each dog's unique personality and needs. I highly recommend Hillary and her husband to anyone seeking top-notch pet care. They are trustworthy, reliable, and truly exceptional in every way. Thank you both for taking such wonderful care of Taz – I'm forever grateful!”
“Ella was reliable and communicative throughout the stay. She followed all instructions and took care of my cats while I was away. I appreciated receiving updates during my trip, and everything was handled as requested. I’d happily book again in the future!”

“Both our 2-yr old kitties took to Amy immediately and these two are shy. I was very anxious as we hadn’t left them alone in a year almost. Amy was very good to our persnickety babies, took care of them, played with them, kept their respective dry and wet food and water containers neat and took care of the litter daily. We came home to two happy kitties and a neat kitty space. Amy was also great with communicating, sending pictures. I’ve already asked her to sit for us the next time we’re away. Thank you Amy!”

“Deborah was excellent! She is kind, caring, efficient and so nice to Jonsu. He loved chilling with her on drop in visits. I am so glad that Jonsu looked well, happy and healthy when we returned. Cant thank Debbie and Rover enough. Best Kavita Dorai, Per parent”

“Lacee was excellent with our 4 chickens while we were on vacation for 2 weeks! She came by every day to make sure their needs were met. I really appreciated how she followed our detailed instructions and checklists. She was very thorough in her care with them and made sure they were given their frozen treats and water during the hot summer days in her care. We hope to book Lacee in the future for another chicken care event! 🐤😊”

“Life saver! Puppy was acting up and having stomach issues. She arrived early and made sure she was well taken care of including cleaning up a few messes. Definitely went above and beyond the normal drop in visit. Highly recommend!”

“Ayla did a great job caring for our cat, Ozzy. She was reliable and flexible. Ozzy, who is normally shy, came out for each visit. We will definitely be using Ayla’s services in the future!”

“Mariah took care of our dog for a week we were away. it was great to get picture updates as our sweet girl is 14 and it was going to be a warm week. Mariah was very quick to respond to questions and concerns as was willing to accommodate us as I thought we might need to add an additional day. We will definitely use Mariah again in the future!”

“Rebecca is great! I loved her Rover cards, the pictures and descriptions from her visits made me feel confident my kitty was getting the best attention while I was gone. I also greatly appreciated that Rebecca’s check-in times were consistent so I knew my cat was never left alone too long. Will definitely be booking Rebecca the next time I need a cat sitter! Absolutely recommend her!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Folsom
From the moment we met Debbie we knew our pets would be well taken care of while we were away. We have a senior dog and senior cat who both need medication. Debbie was comfortable with both pills and injections. She communicated regularly and sent photos of our pets. Debbie asked questions when something came up (example: our dog didn’t eat one day.) having Debbie take care of our pets was the next best thing to being home with them. I would recommend Debbie to everyone and will reach out to her again if we need a pet sitter. Thank you, Debbie!

Joanna was perfect from start to finish, from such a warm greeting to being attentive to our cats schedule, and giving us updates while we were away. She kept everything tidy and made sure our girls were happy, it made it so we could enjoy ourselves knowing they were in good hands. We’ll be booking her again if we ever need a pet sitter!

We loved having Isabella watch our 2 cats while we were away!!! Her communication is great, she also came in in advance to us leaving to meet the cats and to see how to run their automatic litter boxes etc which gave me a lot of peace of mind. Am definitely booking her again! :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Folsom. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
