About: Hi there, I’m Rose (my profile says Maddison which is my first name, but I go by my middle name “Rose” to clear up any confusion)! Let’s see… I’ve been a dog lover my entire life and had the privilege of caring for my own senior pup until she was 17 years old. That experience taught me so much about patience, understanding and the special care older dogs require. Since 2014, I’ve been independently providing reliable, loving care to dogs, always ensuring they feel safe, respected and deeply loved. Whether it’s gentle walks, meal time, or just companionship, I’m committed to giving every pet the attention and care they deserve. I offer flexible availability to meet your pet care needs! On weekdays, I’m available from 8:30pm to 10:30pm for evening care. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, my schedule opens up from 1pm to 7pm , making it perfect for daytime visits and extended care. Additionally, I’m happy to provide overnight sitting from Friday evenings to Sunday afternoons, ensuring your pets are well cared for and comfortable while you’re away. I’m here to help! Safety is always my top priority when caring for your pets. I keep dogs on a leash at all times during walks to ensure they stay secure and under control. I’m also experienced in recognizing and de-escalating tense situations, whether it’s encountering other animals or navigating busy environments. I’m attentive to each pet’s needs and always take precautions to keep them out of harm’s way.
About: I’ve been a proud pet parent and sitter for over 20 years, and I know how important it is to have someone you can trust with your furry family. I’ve cared for dogs of all breeds and sizes, cats with every personality, and even senior pets who need a little extra love. I treat every pet like my own; whether that means long walks, playtime, cuddles, or keeping routines just right. I’m reliable, attentive, and always happy to send photo updates so you know your pets are safe and happy while you’re away. For me, pet sitting isn’t just a job, it’s what I love. 🐾 I have a very flexible schedule! I am pretty much always home, playing with my cat or tending my garden. I go to school online so that can be done from any location with wifi. I have plenty of free time to make sure your fury friends needs are met! I love and appreciate a detailed list of your pets wants and needs so as their routine isn’t disturbed in your absence. My calm yet assertive style coupled with my fun and energetic personality help me to ensure every pet I encounter is not only safe but trusts me enough to let their guard down and play!
“Barbara is a nice responsible person who took such good care or our cat. I really think they both liked each other a lot after just the first meeting. And Barbara was fantastic in her Communication with us. Really could not ask for more. Thank you Barbara!.”

“Kerrigan is great! She took care of our 2 cats, who never make themselves seen when someone comes to the house, and even managed to send pictures!! She didn't have a problem doing a few extra tasks (asked ahead of time) and was very communicative. I think we found our new petsitter!!”

“Jenelle was so wonderful taking care of our dog while we were away. She is incredibly kind and very responsible. I had great piece of mind knowing she was their for our dog!”

About: Hello! My name is Laura and I'm 38 years old. I grew up in the country and my mother had a dog grooming studio in our house. I have always loved animals and grew up with dogs, cats, birds, ducks and horses. As an adult, I have worked at animal shelters and for private rescues. I have fostered dogs in my own home, many of whom were neglected and needed a sensitive touch. I currently have 3 rescue dogs of my own, one of whom has kidney disease. I give medication and IV fluids three times a week for her at home. I am available for dog walks/hikes, pet sitting and am comfortable with a wide range of breeds. I am reliable, caring and will treat your pet like they are a member of my own family. I currently work nights, part-time in the restaurant industry which gives me plenty of free time during the day to care for your furry family member(s)! I tailor each experience to match your pets needs. I am up for anything including, long walk, adventurous hikes, leisurely strolls, playing in the back yard, snuggling on the couch and more. I am happy to spend whatever time and energy your fur baby needs!
“Donna is a fantastic pet sitter and friend to animals! She helped me pill my cat Lucy, who is notoriously uncooperative when it comes to taking her medicine. For the first time in Lucy's life, we managed to get a pill down her throat. Goodbye, tapeworms, yaaay! Thank you so much, Donna!”

“Mariah did an amazing job taking care of our kitties! She was very professional and made sure to follow all our instructions to the letter AND one our cats was sick and she provided the medicine as well. We are very happy with her services and we will use her again!”

About: I absolutely love pets! I’ve taken care of all different kinds of cats and dogs for about 15 years and have experience volunteering and fostering with both elderly and newborn pets. Most of my work includes feeding, cleaning, bathing, and occasionally medicinal or bottle feeding care (if needed). I am currently working part time, but I still have plenty of time to spend with your pets! I am available every day during the week. I don’t have a set schedule with work, but it is very flexible and can be discussed depending on your schedule. I personally have strict rules of keeping my pets inside at night due to frequent coyote sites in my area, and have no problem reigning in your pets if needed as well for whatever reason. I can absolutely bend to my clients rules in whatever means I can to ensure their pets safety.
“Danika did a wonderful job of watching our cat kimchi. She was even nice enough to split up the visits throughout the day because her automatic feeder stopped working. We would love to have her again!”

“This was our first experience with Rover and we were delighted. Danielle is professional, resourceful, reliable, kind hearted, and she did a superb job taking care of our cat. She kept clear communication going with us the whole time, which we appreciated. We will gladly ask for her services again in the future!”

Michelle was an amazing cat sitter! She provided plenty of photos and detailed updates throughout our trip, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. It was clear from every visit that she genuinely loves and cares about cats, and she gave our cat lots of attention and affection. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for cat and couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Levi was absolutely wonderful to work with! So kind, friendly, and easygoing—we felt completely comfortable leaving all our pets in Levi’s care. Communication was great throughout, and the photo updates of our pet family while we were traveling were such a thoughtful touch. Two thumbs up for Levi, who truly does an outstanding job. Highly recommend!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Nimbus. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
