“Sunny is so happy when he visits Jelly's house! He puts his nose on the front door waiting for it to open in the mornings. He loves his other puppy mates and is very happy when he comes home. Sunny says thanks so much!!”

“We had a fantastic experience with Alexis and her family. Bonnie loved spending the day playing with the kids and other dogs. Communication with Alexis was also great - we’d happily book again!”

“This was my poodles 3rd stay with these two wonderful pet sitters. I want them to be available to watch my dog every time I’m in town, so I don’t want to say to many good things or everyone will want to book them and then They will not be able to watch my dog when I need them. 😃”

“We are so grateful Derek, Leslie and their family help look after our sweet fur babies when we are away. The Pitadors are always excited when they know they are going to these wonderful Rover sitter’s home and always come back to our home tuckered out from all the play, love and attention they’ve gotten!”

“My golden Piper stayed with Stephanie whole we had a project going on at home. She’s lovely - we had some unexpected schedule changes and she was accommodating to that. Present pictures of the dog and my very hyper girl came home exhausted after a day of playing with Stephanie's two dogs. I would absolutely use Stephanie again and I’m so happy we found her!”

About: I’ve owned dogs my entire life. I’ve always done the potty training and basic training for my dogs. I also did several years of volunteer work for the Sacramento SPCA doing basic training with the dogs. I’m recently retired so my days are completely free. I will be available during the week and weekends as well. I’m available mornings and evenings. I have a fenced yard and am home most days to take care of my pets. I also have a crate that can be used.
“Darlene was fantastic. We asked her to watch our Welsh Springer Spaniel just for a day while we were throwing a party. She was very accommodating with last minute time changes. We were impressed with her set up. Everything in her house is amazingly dog-friendly. She walked Lucy twice and sent us many, many photos. We couldn’t recommend her more.”

“Johnna took such great care of Luna. I felt completely comfortable knowing she was in good hands. We received pictures and updates that kept us feeling confident in her care. Thank you Johnna!”

“We dropped off our dog at Deborah's house for dog sitting. Our dog really likes Deborah. She is kind and patient and you can tell she really likes animals. We were updated regularly on how our dog was doing with messages and pictures. It made us feel like she was in good hands. We will definitely book Deborah for more sitting soon!”
“Our dog Baxter hasn’t been to doggy day care for a couple of years, so he had extra anxiety on top of his normal separation anxiety. Cliff allowed us to meet up the day prior to ensure that Baxter would be comfortable in the environment, which included a cat. The visit was a success. Cliff had a room dedicated to the animals and a beautiful backyard with vibrant green grass, which Baxter loved. Cliff was very friendly and seemed like a natural with dogs. This made us feel good about leaving Baxter with him for doggy day care the next day. When we dropped Baxter off, he acted shy at first, hesitant to approach and sticking close to us, but he looked very happy at pick-up, wagging his tail and greeting us with excitement. Cliff sent a photo and update about Baxter's visit. Baxter usually needs several visits to trust new people. Cliff patiently gave him space as he introduced and welcomed him to the pack, making the experience feel calm and positive for Baxter. We highly recommend Cliff, and will be using his services in the future.”

“Julia took the best care of our dog Gracie. In addition to the great pictures and communication, Julia took the extra time to really get to know our dog and made sure she was well cared for. Highly would recommend Julia!”

About: Animals have been part of my life since I was an early adult, and caring and connecting with them comes naturally. As a wellness coach, husband and father of two, I’m big on structure, patience, and creating a calm, safe inviting environment for every dog I work with. I’m active outdoors, hiking, walking trails, and exploring around in the neighborhood, so your dog will get plenty of movement and attention. I will always adapt movement and attention needs to your liking. I’ve handled everything from high-energy pups to gentle senior dogs, and I’m confident with feeding routines, medication reminders, crate-training basics, and helping anxious dogs feel secure. I treat every pet like my own and keep owners updated with photos, check-ins, and clear communication so you always know your dog is in good hands. Whether your dog needs long walks, overnight care, or a dependable companion while you’re away, I bring consistency, kindness, and professional-level responsibility to every stay. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I work from home and set my own schedule. I’m already outdoors often, walking, working on the yard, biking, or taking my own dog out around the neighborhood or on the trails, so adding your pup into my day is a seamless fit. I’m available for boarding service either at my home or yours for 2-4 days during the week and weekend boarding requests as well. Your dog will always get consistent attention, movement, and care, never rushed or squeezed into a busy schedule. I provide a calm, structured environment that helps dogs feel comfortable the moment they arrive. My home in Fair Oaks has a large, fenced yard with plenty of safe space to explore. Outdoor time is always supervised, gates stay secured, and I keep clear routines for feeding, play, and rest so dogs settle in smoothly. We have two friendly dogs of our own, a Papillon and a Min Pin/Jack Russell mix, who enjoy having new companions around. They’re social, well-behaved, and help create an easygoing atmosphere for visiting pups. If a dog prefers their own space, I can separate areas to make sure everyone feels relaxed. For boarding in my home, I do require that dogs are potty trained. If you’re still working on potty training, I’m more than happy to support that process in your home. I’m also comfortable with crate routines, senior care, medication reminders, and maintaining whatever structure your dog is used to. As a father and longtime pet owner, safety and communication are top priorities, I send photo updates and check-ins so you always feel connected while you’re away.
“Sugar had a blast with Jenny and Sadie - so much fun Sugar parkour out the car window lol. Jenny is great! She provided updates throughout the day and is very responsive. After picking up Sugar, she just stares out the car window hoping we go back.”

“Ariana is very friendly and takes great care of my dog. I can tell that she is a "dog" person and that she knows what she is doing and really cares. It is a bonus that she does not over-charge for her services and offers the convenient pick up and drop off services. She takes several pictures and keeps me updated, which I appreciate.”

“Shannon and her husband were amazing! They're very caring people. They also have a French bulldog which was a plus for our frenchie. When it came time to pick up our pup, she didn't want to leave. That's the best sign of a successful playdate. Anyway, we highly recommend Shannon and we will definitely be using her again. Thanks, Shannon!! :)”

I continually strive to foster a healthy loving relationship between pets and people, and I enjoy keeping updated on the latest dog training and dog psychology research. But most of all I cherish my time with my furry friends! 😊 I'm insured/bonded, and have experience pet sitting for cats and dogs of many breeds. I can offer your pup peaceful daily walks near your home, adventures at the local dog park and joyful romps in the nearby state parks as well. I can give lots of exercise and potty breaks, and I will work on whatever aspects of training needed as well. I am a pro trainer as well. If I'm caring for your pet in my home - they will be grateful for an easy life. There will be plenty of potty breaks and outdoor time if desired. (I can easily crate your dog if you would like me too as well.) I give pups the exercise needed for their age and desire - generally 2-4 hours per day of walking, romping and playing. (I will take them outside 2 times during the heat waves of summer, both in the mornings and early evenings). If it works for your pup, playing in parks and exploring the woods on exciting forest adventures is my specialty!
Nimbus dog parents share their Rover experiences
I absolutely recommend Derek and Leslie!! They are genuinely caring for the pets they watch! My 12 week old puppy, Maggie, felt right at home in their house. She was closely attended to, was safe and had lots of fun playing in their wonderful backyard. Several times through Maggie’s stay, they texted photos of Maggie running, playing, napping. Derek and Leslie are outstanding dog-sitters!
