“Hailey gave the pups meds, refilled their food and water bowls, filled puzzles, ensured they had time outside, and helped one of my pups with getting a diaper on. She’s a sweet girl and the pups love her. Grateful for her and her eagerness to help with the pups.”

About: I have taken care of pets like dogs, cats, reptiles, and farm animals since I was very young. I have experience with small to large dogs as well as young to senior dogs and cats. I have also volunteered at shelters for the past few years and helped them too. I am currently taking care of animals full time. I am available at all hours and all days as long as I have no other bookings. I have a fenced backyard and a pool that my dogs love. I also have 3 dogs of my own. I have a German Shepherd puppy and 2 senior Chihuahuas. I strive to make sure all animals I take care of are happy and safe.
About: Throughout the years, I have always naturally bonded with animals of all shapes and sizes. I have dedicated much of my life to caring for pets, starting from the time I was young when family and neighbors relied on me for daily feeding, walking, and playtime. Whether your dog needs gentle senior companionship, patient routine maintenance, or a fun play session, I ensure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and deeply loved while you are away. My partner and I work together to maintain a highly flexible routine, ensuring your pets always receive plenty of attention. Between the two of us, we are readily available throughout weekdays and weekends for reliable check-ins, timely feedings, and continuous companionship. Your pet’s safety and comfort are our top priorities. As a team, my partner and I provide attentive, gentle supervision while strictly following all of your house and care instructions. Having two dedicated caregivers means your pet gets extra care, secure monitoring, and regular photo updates.
“This was our first experience using Rover.com, and we couldn't have been happier! Our sitter, Elaine, is terrific! Not only did she capture amazing pictures of our two Bengal cats, she even managed to win over Shiloh, who normally runs and hides under the bed whenever a stranger comes into our home. My husband and I could hardly believe our eyes when we watched the video of Shiloh letting Elaine pet her. It was nice, too, to come home to a clean and tidy area where the food dishes are as our cats always like dropping their food on the floor before eating. I highly recommend Elaine.”

About: I have taken care of dogs for the past 5 years or so by myself. Growing up my parents watched dogs for friends and family every so often. We also had a border collie mix of our own for 15 years and I was responsible for taking care of him. I currently work M-Th; 9am-5pm but fairly free before or after work for walks and playtime. I tend to get up early on work days but a night owl on the weekends. I enjoy getting out on the weekends like going on walks with hikes. I currently do not have fenced in hard but I do have a large grass area right outside my house that is dog friendly and is great for playtime and even doggie pool time.
“Kyla was amazing! She and our dog, Riley, got along really well. She was very attentive to Riley’s needs and was very quick to update us with any news! We would highly recommend her to anyone in the area. 10/10 would recommend”

About: I've grown up with dogs my entire life, so caring for them has always been second nature to me. Throughout high school and college, I regularly dog- and cat-sat for friends, neighbors, and friends of friends, caring for pets with a variety of personalities, ages, and routines. One thing that sets me apart is my ability to understand a pet's body language and cues. Every animal communicates differently, and I take the time to make sure they feel comfortable and safe. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or shy and needs a little extra patience, I adapt my care to what they need. I also know how stressful it can be to leave your pet in someone else's care. Because of that, I treat every pet as if they were my own, giving them plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and consistency while you're away. My goal is not only to make your pet feel happy and secure but also to give you complete peace of mind knowing they're in caring, reliable hands! I recently moved back home after spending 10 months living in Madrid, and I currently work part-time remotely. Because of my flexible schedule, I can accommodate a variety of pet care needs, whether that's daytime walks, drop-in visits, overnight stays, or keeping your pet company throughout the day. I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals, so pet care fits naturally into my routine. I'm committed to being reliable, communicative, and making sure your pet receives the attention and care they deserve. Your pet's safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. I know that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, so I take the time to learn what makes them feel most comfortable and stick as closely as possible to their normal routine. I pay close attention to body language and behavior to recognize when a pet is relaxed, excited, or anxious. Whether we're going for walks, playing, feeding, or just relaxing together, I strive to create a calm, positive environment where your pet feels safe, cared for, and loved. I also understand that leaving your pet with someone new can be stressful for both you and your pet. I'll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your fur baby is happy, safe, and in good hands!!

“Madison was amazing! When she first met Benji Muffin she bonded right away. She was caring, compassionate and careful with my older beloved dog. She was respectful in my home and I trust her completely. I enjoyed receiving her pictures and it put me at ease during my vacation. I could tell right away that she really enjoyed what she was doing. I think Benji Muffin misses her.”

Lauren was amazing with our two kittens. She was super thoughtful and asked a lot of great questions about what we needed. The visits were perfect! The pictures she took while taking care of kitten were some of the best pictures we’ve got. Would definitely recommend Lauren!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
