“Isabella arrived right on time for Mazie’s drop-in walk and kept me updated throughout. She was attentive and communicative, and best of all, she sent photos from their time together—I loved seeing Mazie enjoying the outing. Isabella clearly cares about the dogs in her care. Mazie was happy when she got home. Couldn’t ask for better. Will definitely book again!”

About: I have had dogs and cats all my life and have been cat sitting for a friend for the passed 3 years. I can handle giving medication and large dogs. I'm a Preschool Teacher during the day looking to help where I can. 😊 I work Monday through Friday, however I'm off fairly early at 3:30pm everyday so afternoons, evenings, and weekends are free. I have no pets anymore so they will have all the attention! There is a lovely creek that runs through my complex for walks and plenty of toys and energy! And for the older furr babies they are more than welcome on the furniture for cuddles. I also have treats if they are okay for their diet 😊 I have experience with giving medication as well if need be.
“Nicque took very good care of my senior cat. She was able to earn her trust and give her medications. Nicque provided great communication and photos so I knew my cat was taken care of when I was gone overnight. Will be using her again soon:)”

“It was great having Alison look after Lilli. After meeting her I had no concerns about Lilly’s care. She stayed in touch and sent me photos during her visit times. That was very reassuring for me. I most definitely would recommend her.”

“We had Nicole watch our two cats (one a new playful kitty and the other an older cat who was quite sad after losing her companion weeks before) for 5 days as well as do some watering in our gardens. She and her partner did a fantastic job. We were worried leaving the cats but she was easy to communicate with, sent regular updates, and took care of everything that was asked of her. We would definitely use her again to care for our cats!”

About: Hi everyone! My name is Sam and I would love to care for your animals while you are away! I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and have been house sitting locally for over 6 years. I promise to provide a fun and loving environment for your animals and ensure their safety. My schedule is open and I’m happy to do drop- ins and stay with them for a few hours, overnights, walks, or anything else depending upon what you need. I’ll care for your pets with plenty of snuggles, walks, throwing a ball, help with training, and lots of love. I can crate and leash easily for comfort.
About: I have experience caring for lots of animals like cats and dogs. I had to help raise our kittens after their mom died when they were two weeks old. I have basic experience with animal care, special diets and medication, and showing them love and attention! Also, I am only available until the beginning of August, I am home from school this summer and will be leaving back for this fall semester. I work part time several days a week during the day. Typically 6 hour days when I’m pet sitting. Depending on location, might be able to work something out if your pets can’t be home alone that long. I tend to spend time with the animals where I can be around them, such as being in the living room if they’re inside animals or checking on them often if they’re outdoors. Try to follow whatever schedule the animal needs to the best of my ability (such as feeding times or walks).
About: Hello! I’ve been loving and caring for local pets for around 25 yrs. Some pets were young pups and kittens; some were older seniors. I specialize in petsitting at my clients homes. My longest pet sitting job was 3.5 weeks while the owners were in Italy. I have many referrals. I’ve taken care of miniature horses, Friesian horses, and a pig. (We have a lot of rural homes in Auburn area). I’m retired from a construction accounting job. We’re gladly at home most days! My shedule is flexible; if you have an emergency need for pet sitting, I’m your gal. I prefer to petsit at my client’s homes. The animals rather appreciate this. I like to meet the animal(s) before sitting so when I arrive, we have a connection. I give the animals plenty of one-on-one attention. This may include doggy massage to calm them and get to know them. Lots of walks if they like that. Potty Breaks every couple of hours to begin with, as they’re sometimes nervous or have stomach upsets. I’d like to know your favorite names for them, what your routines are, rituals, their favorite things to do. I’ve also stayed with animals after their surgeries to monitor when the owner has to work.
“Angela was awesome! Kept us well informed, sent us such cute pics of our kitties, and felt so confident having her in our home. She went above and beyond when an ant issue occurred while we were gone, so thankful. Ready to book again, now I just need the vacation time from work.”

About: I was the owner operator of a pet salon for over 20 years with a loyal following based on the quality of care their fur babies recieved. Your dogs will go on walks and have the opportunity to check their peemail. They will enjoy playtime, naps and lots of cuddles. I simply love animals and they will let you know. I am currently working from home M-F with a very flexible work schedule. I understand the importance of keeping fur babies on a schedule with feeding and walks to help them feel safe and loved while in my care. I follow directions well. I live in a cute home with a fully fenced back yard. My 4 legged guests will have indoor outdoor access and full usage of all the homes amenities. I am prepared to set healthy boundries for furniture use at your request, otherwise they will have the freedom to be where they feel most comfortable. My schedule is flexible. Im working remotely from home part time. The fur babies in my care are nutured and loved. That's why I'm a Rover. Safety is my highest priority. I have a fully fenced yard, and firmly believe that playtime is an essential part of enhancing the lives of happy healthy fur babies.
About: Not only do I have 10 years of experience of pet sitting, I have experience working with shelter dogs. I’ve been with Placer SPCA as a volunteer for many years. I work with fearful, excitable, shy and even reactive dogs on a weekly basis. I make sure to give them the best care I can provide. I have plenty of free time and my shelter schedule is very flexible! I spend most of my time caring for pets or working with animals. I am someone that you can contact last minute for pet sitting! I will make sure that your pet gets all the love, care and attention your best friend could possibly need. I provide mostly overnight care, in which I make sure your pup is cared for in the same way you do every day. Building trust is very important to me, I’ll make sure to send pictures of your dog (or other animals) along with a report of how they are doing and any other info you may need.
“Brittany is amazing! She takes great care of my two large breed dogs (one puppy, and one senior). She is kind, great with the pups, and leaves great notes and pictures! I will definitely book her again!”

About: My family has owned pets all of my life. Part of the duties for my first high school/college drop included taking care of my bosses four dogs. They included walks, play time, and grooming mainly. I'm not currently working, other than helping with my grandma when she requires, so I have all day free to walk, or play with, or check in, etc with pets. I have a 9 year old cat (Millie) that likes to keep to herself and an 18 month Goldendoodle (Gracie) who is super friendly and LOVES to play. I have a small yard that is not fenced, but a small porch that can be fenced that Gracie likes to hang out on when the weather is nice. I have a large living room with plenty of open space to play in. Plus a variety of walking routes around the house that Gracie loves to go on.

I currently have 3 dogs, a desert tortoise, and a bearded dragon and have taken care of goats in the past so I am comfortable taking care of any pet. I am currently working at Target on Bell Road. I am able to take care of pets at your house or take them for walks, but may need to leave them for 4-8 hours on some days. I hope I am a good fit and I can't wait to take care of your furry family members! I am able stay at your house but because I work at Target, I may need to leave the house for 4-8 hours every day. I am able to accommodate whatever your pet needs. And I am comfortable with crate training pets and giving oral medications. Since my Mom works in the veterinary industry she is available if I ever have a question about a pets care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
