About: Having animals ranging in all ages since I was 5 has definitely helped but also helping friends and family since the age of 13 has been the best experience. I am available 24/7, our animals are just as important as us so I believe in having time for them whenever you or them may need it. Always following directions given by owner and doing thorough checks throughout the time I am with your 4 legged family. Staying aware of surroundings when out and about in walks.
“Angela is a fantastic caretaker for our furry family members! Our dog is often scared with new people and warmed up to Angela so quickly! She’s trustworthy and extremely easy to communicate with. Will continue to use Angela for our pet care needs!”
About: My family has owned pets all of my life. Part of the duties for my first high school/college drop included taking care of my bosses four dogs. They included walks, play time, and grooming mainly. I'm not currently working, other than helping with my grandma when she requires, so I have all day free to walk, or play with, or check in, etc with pets. I have a 9 year old cat (Millie) that likes to keep to herself and an 18 month Goldendoodle (Gracie) who is super friendly and LOVES to play. I have a small yard that is not fenced, but a small porch that can be fenced that Gracie likes to hang out on when the weather is nice. I have a large living room with plenty of open space to play in. Plus a variety of walking routes around the house that Gracie loves to go on.
About: Hello! I’ve been loving and caring for local pets for around 25 yrs. Some pets were young pups and kittens; some were older seniors. I specialize in petsitting at my clients homes. My longest pet sitting job was 3.5 weeks while the owners were in Italy. I have many referrals. I’ve taken care of miniature horses, Friesian horses, and a pig. (We have a lot of rural homes in Auburn area). I’m retired from a construction accounting job. We’re gladly at home most days! My shedule is flexible; if you have an emergency need for pet sitting, I’m your gal. I prefer to petsit at my client’s homes. The animals rather appreciate this. I like to meet the animal(s) before sitting so when I arrive, we have a connection. I give the animals plenty of one-on-one attention. This may include doggy massage to calm them and get to know them. Lots of walks if they like that. Potty Breaks every couple of hours to begin with, as they’re sometimes nervous or have stomach upsets. I’d like to know your favorite names for them, what your routines are, rituals, their favorite things to do. I’ve also stayed with animals after their surgeries to monitor when the owner has to work.
About: My name is Jaxen B. and just moved to Auburn. I am very reliable and am excited to meet new dogs and families. Growing up we always had a dog in our household. I love playing and interacting with all kinds of dogs! My family in sonoma county currently have a Rottweiler and a pit bull who are the best of friends. I know I can provide excellent care for your pets as they are members of the family. I am open to also house sitting as well as caring for the pets. I look forward to meeting with you in the future! Thank you I am available in the mornings, evenings, and weekends. I also work from home most days so I am available for quick visits throughout the day. I have the ability to travel to client households for visits or to house sit and dog sit. We do not have the capacity to board dogs in our home.
“Nicole is wonderful! She is knowledgeable, trustworthy and super sweet! She is helping me integrate our new dog by going on parallel walks. I plan to go out of town in a few months, and will definitely ask her to dog sit!”

About: Hi! My name is Sienna. I’ve been raised with dogs my whole life so I have much experience with dogs. I’ve been a dog sitter on many occasions for friends and on recommendation; long and short term stays. I’ve dog sat from puppies to older dogs and big to small dogs so I have dealt with a wide range of different doggies. I love dogs whole heartedly and would love to take care of yours!! I am currently unemployed and a college student mostly online. So I’ve much time to focus on your pet and give them the best care. I truly love dogs and all animals and would give your pet the utmost attention. I’ll do whatever you need for your pet to have the best care. If they do stay with me I have a large fenced in backyard with much room for them to play around. I’ll give your dog plenty of walks. I’ll of course follow any instructions you give to me. I hope you can put your trust in me and I’ll make sure to prove you can.
About: One of my favorite parts of pet sitting is sending photos and updates to owners while they're away. I know how reassuring it is to see that your pet is happy, comfortable, and well cared for when you can't be there. I genuinely love working with animals of all kinds. Over the past 10 years, I've cared for cats, dogs, birds, lizards, chickens, and many other pets. Animals bring so much joy to the world, and I believe they deserve attentive, compassionate care. I'm known for being reliable, flexible, and easy to work with—whether I'm helping friends, family, or new clients I've just met. Because every pet has unique needs, I take the time to learn their routines, personalities, and preferences. I also have extensive experience administering medications and caring for pets with special requirements. My goal is to give you peace of mind while you're away, knowing your beloved companion is safe, happy, and receiving the same level of care and attention that I would give my own pets. I would love the opportunity to help care for your furry, feathered, or scaly family member. I currently work full time as an office manager in the Roseville area, but I have a flexible and consistent schedule that allows me to support pet care needs throughout the day. I’m able to step out during my lunch breaks for potty visits, check-ins, or to administer medications when needed. My routine is well-structured, which helps me reliably accommodate most scheduling requests and provide consistent care. I understand how important timely visits and dependable support are for both pets and their owners, and I do my best to ensure that each visit is handled with care and attention. I believe the best pet care starts with following the guidance provided by pet owners. They know their pets best and understand their individual needs, routines, and personalities. One thing I've learned over the years is that every animal is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to caring for them. I also place a strong emphasis on observation and communication. When I first meet a pet, I take time to learn their normal behaviors and establish a baseline for how they typically act. If I notice anything that seems unusual or out of character, I promptly reach out to the owner to keep them informed. Clear, timely communication helps ensure the best possible care and provides peace of mind for pet owners. Above all, my goal is to create a safe, trusting, and compassionate environment where pets feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for.
“Brittany is very punctual and very kind and so good for my Maltese...she is tolerant even when he jumps on her... I feel good knowing Brittany will walk my little guy and leave him Happy!!! ?”
About: I've love animals especially dogs! I don't know what we would do without our furry friends. I have been house sitting dogs and cats for 10 over years. I have total flexibility. I love being outdoors, there are so many fantastic places to take dogs in our area. I am trying to be active as much as possible, so this is a great hobby for me. I give animals lots of affection, exercise, and attention! :) I have no preference in sizes or breeds, but please no dogs that are aggressive in any way. I have lots experience with puppies as well. I am also offering house sitting and cleaning services. I have been doing overnight stays with pets since I was 8. Thank you so much for your time!
About: I've been taking care of animals for a little over 5 years including my own animals. I have 1 dog and 1 Guinea pig. I used to volunteer for Mollys Militia which was animal foster/adoption center. During my volunteer hours I would make sure the dogs were fed and had water and were always in good condition living their best life. I am currently looking for a at home job to help with the convenience of staying home with my dog and caring for every other animal that would come into my care. I have a fenced yard that my dog loves to run around in. My dog is friendly towards other dogs. He is also neutered and well trained.
About: I've owned cats for 30+ years and couldn't imagine life without them. When my daughter was young, we volunteered at the local SPCA shelter together. I pet sit for friends and neighbors regularly, both cats and dogs (mostly walking), and can provide references upon request. I am currently taking a course offered by Sierra College related to both feline and canine health and behavior as I believe it will make me both a better sitter and animal owner. I work/volunteer part-time from home with my two rescue cats so have plenty of availability and flexibility during the day to care for your furry babies. I am also a hike leader and love to walk, so would be happy to exercise your dog whenever you cannot. I'm reliable, honest, and happy to help with additional chores such as watering plants and bringing in mail during your absence. I would be prefer to arrange a meet and greet beforehand at no additional charge. My main preference is cat sitting your kitties in their own home. I know with my own cats they do not like to be uprooted when I'm absent. I can drop in several times a day, play with your cats, administer medication orally if needed, and clean litter boxes. I can also check up on your dog and take him/her for a walk during the day if you are at work.
About: Pets are family to me! I will take care of yours like they are my own! Growing up in a big family with six siblings and pets for all, I have loved them all my life. Now that I am retired, I get to do what I want most — spend time with man’s best friend. I specialize in walks and cuddling. You can trust me to spend time with your pets and give them nothing but love while you’re away! Because I’m retired my schedule is free to walk and play with your pets, all day and everyday. I am patient and loving and I hope you give me a chance. I live in a condo without a backyard but I have plenty of open space around the complex. Walks are a big part of my life and I would love to share my passion with your pets.
About: I don't have much professional experience walking dogs. I lived across from a cute pot dog mix for 8 years. When her own went on trips he would have me look after Sophia. This included walking her, feeding her. Cuddling with her. I would also take her on walks to the store or with her owner would take her to the pond or lakes. I have kids who I'm wanting to teach responsibilities to, so when possible I would have them help on the walks or feedings. I'm mostly a stay at home mom. I do house cleanings a few times a week for a few hours in the morning. I also have kids to take to and from school and activities but my availability is still pretty open. Love getting out in nature having a dog out there to play with would make it that much better. Love spoiling pets with cuddles and treats
“Shannon is a great walker for my collie, who loves the outdoors. They go on mile-long walks at a quick pace. So glad Shannon is willing to do that — it’s just the quality of exercise I wanted for my dog!”

About: I have been taking care of my parents' dog, Lexi, since we got her about 7 years ago. I take her on walks and to the dog park reguarily, feed her, and make sure she is entertained throughout the day. I also have extensive experience with cats, as I grew up owning them from a young age. Growing up with pets has led me to grow in my intuition on animal needs. You can count on me to be your pet's new friend! I currently am looking for part-time work, so I have an open schedule from 9 AM - 5 PM daily including weekends to look after your pet I strive to create an environment that helps animals feel both safe and happy. While in client homes, I focus solely on care and connection with your pet.
About: I grew up with two big German Shepherd huskies and now I have a lab and German Shepherd Husky, and Catahula/B Collie I’ve watched pit bulls as well. Some experience with horses and live stock. Work remote in Cool and have very flexible availability, I can take very short notice jobs and I'm only out of town a few days a month I am someone who runs daily so long dog walks will be fun for me. John went above and beyond for our Rose while we were out of town for 9 days during the holidays. Always taking the time to make sure rose was comfortable with him, took her on longer walks, was consistently on time so she could stay in her routine. I’d love to work with John again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
