“Sienna was a great sitter! She was reliable, took great care of our dogs and cats, and communicated wonderfully throughout our trip with updates and photos. It gave us so much peace of mind. We will definitely book with her again in the future! Thank you Sienna!”

“Lindsey did a fantastic job! Always responsive, on time with feedings and visits, and sent notes and photos keeping us updated on how our cat was doing. We felt very assured and comfortable that he was in good hands and well taken care of. Thank you Lindsey!”

“Isabella arrived right on time for Mazie’s drop-in walk and kept me updated throughout. She was attentive and communicative, and best of all, she sent photos from their time together—I loved seeing Mazie enjoying the outing. Isabella clearly cares about the dogs in her care. Mazie was happy when she got home. Couldn’t ask for better. Will definitely book again!”

“Remi is a wonderful care taker. After our initial meeting, I knew she was the right person to care for my senior dog. She even visited with my gecko. Remi will be my go-to person for future needs. I strongly recommend her!”

About: I have had pets my whole life, and my mom is a veterinarian. I currently have 3 dogs, a desert tortoise, and a bearded dragon and have taken care of goats in the past so I am comfortable taking care of any pet. I am currently working at Target on Bell Road. I am able to take care of pets at your house or take them for walks, but may need to leave them for 4-8 hours on some days. I hope I am a good fit and I can't wait to take care of your furry family members! I am able stay at your house but because I work at Target, I may need to leave the house for 4-8 hours every day. I am able to accommodate whatever your pet needs. And I am comfortable with crate training pets and giving oral medications. Since my Mom works in the veterinary industry she is available if I ever have a question about a pets care.
About: I don't have much professional experience walking dogs. I lived across from a cute pot dog mix for 8 years. When her own went on trips he would have me look after Sophia. This included walking her, feeding her. Cuddling with her. I would also take her on walks to the store or with her owner would take her to the pond or lakes. I have kids who I'm wanting to teach responsibilities to, so when possible I would have them help on the walks or feedings. I'm mostly a stay at home mom. I do house cleanings a few times a week for a few hours in the morning. I also have kids to take to and from school and activities but my availability is still pretty open. Love getting out in nature having a dog out there to play with would make it that much better. Love spoiling pets with cuddles and treats
About: I have had dogs and cats all my life and have been cat sitting for a friend for the passed 3 years. I can handle giving medication and large dogs. I'm a Preschool Teacher during the day looking to help where I can. 😊 I work Monday through Friday, however I'm off fairly early at 3:30pm everyday so afternoons, evenings, and weekends are free. I have no pets anymore so they will have all the attention! There is a lovely creek that runs through my complex for walks and plenty of toys and energy! And for the older furr babies they are more than welcome on the furniture for cuddles. I also have treats if they are okay for their diet 😊 I have experience with giving medication as well if need be.
About: I was the owner operator of a pet salon for over 20 years with a loyal following based on the quality of care their fur babies recieved. Your dogs will go on walks and have the opportunity to check their peemail. They will enjoy playtime, naps and lots of cuddles. I simply love animals and they will let you know. I am currently working from home M-F with a very flexible work schedule. I understand the importance of keeping fur babies on a schedule with feeding and walks to help them feel safe and loved while in my care. I follow directions well. I live in a cute home with a fully fenced back yard. My 4 legged guests will have indoor outdoor access and full usage of all the homes amenities. I am prepared to set healthy boundries for furniture use at your request, otherwise they will have the freedom to be where they feel most comfortable. My schedule is flexible. Im working remotely from home part time. The fur babies in my care are nutured and loved. That's why I'm a Rover. Safety is my highest priority. I have a fully fenced yard, and firmly believe that playtime is an essential part of enhancing the lives of happy healthy fur babies.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and pets since as long as I can remember, whether that be my own or my friends and family! I personally have a dog of 14, with a few health issues (including joint issues and blindnesss) so I’m very comfortable and understands with other dogs with those issues, and how to handle and take care of them well! With also having dogs my whole life I have experience some experience puppies, and while I’m not trained myself, I do remember some tips and tricks for starting their training! I’m currently only in school for a week days a week, so I have plenty of time to drop in and play with your dogs, or take them in a long walk to tire them out ! I have sat dogs with needs like kennels, and special food times and needs, so I’m understanding with their routines and how they spend time when I’m not with them.
“Brandy was the best Petsitter ever! She gave both my rat terrier Annie and my kitty Lucy lots of love and attention, the pictures she took say a thousand words. She is the first sitter I’ve had who truly cares about Lucy and understands my often shy and quiet cat. They were both very happy when we came home, and were obviously well taken care of. The best thing were the detailed notes Brandy sent me, telling me what they did together and how things were going at each visit. I’ll definitely hire her again!”

“Brittany is amazing! She takes great care of my two large breed dogs (one puppy, and one senior). She is kind, great with the pups, and leaves great notes and pictures! I will definitely book her again!”

About: Not only do I have 10 years of experience of pet sitting, I have experience working with shelter dogs. I’ve been with Placer SPCA as a volunteer for many years. I work with fearful, excitable, shy and even reactive dogs on a weekly basis. I make sure to give them the best care I can provide. I have plenty of free time and my shelter schedule is very flexible! I spend most of my time caring for pets or working with animals. I am someone that you can contact last minute for pet sitting! I will make sure that your pet gets all the love, care and attention your best friend could possibly need. I provide mostly overnight care, in which I make sure your pup is cared for in the same way you do every day. About: We’re a calm and reliable husband-and-wife team who care for pets as if they were our own precious babies. Having stepped away from our corporate schedules, we’ve happily traded the desk life to focus on what we actually love doing, and part of that included hanging out with great pets. We specialize in house-sitting because we believe animals are happiest, safest, and most relaxed staying right in their own familiar spaces. We’re entirely about matching your pet’s natural vibe. If they thrive on energetic walks or a light jog, we're game! If they prefer to just snooze on the couch with some quiet companionship, we’re perfectly content to pull up a chair and keep them company. We easily handle the daily logistics too—whether that's keeping up with precise feeding routines, mixing up fresh meals, or administering medications. While we're there, you can consider your home fully looked after. We're happy to keep the plants watered, gather the mail, and ensure everything stays clean, secure, and just as you left it. We'll send you regular updates along the way so you can completely relax and enjoy your time away. We have a flexible schedule and focus on providing consistent, attentive care that follows your pet’s established routine, including walks, meals, exercise, companionship, and regular attention throughout the day. We provide in-home pet care with a focus on consistency, comfort, and respect for both your pet and your home. We follow your instructions carefully and maintain a calm, reliable presence throughout our stay.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Clipper Gap. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
