About: I’ve cared for dogs since age 12, especially high energy breeds. I raised 2 puppies from early stages, gaining experience in activity, structure, attention, and consistency. Pet care fits naturally into my daily life because I work from home, allowing constant attention. I only leave for the gym and essential errands. Being very attentive. I keep pets on their normal routine, and make sure they have fresh food, water, exercise, and attention. For safety, I keep doors and gates secure, remove anything they could get into, and supervise them to help prevent accidents or injuries.
“Tatjana was really fantastic with my dog. She took her time to get to know my dog during the meet and greet. She has an understanding of dogs and what they need. Definitely recommend her and will be using her services again. Thank you so much.”

“Laura was amazing! I have a high energy puppy, she took her for a nice walk. My puppy came back tired & mellow for the rest of the day! Will use her again! Puppy loved her too!”

“Ella has been so helpful with our dog while my partner was out of the country and I was stuck working in office all week. She was always on time, provided pictures and feedback on the visit and more importantly, our little girl seems to love her company. A++++”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely enjoy. I have extensive hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats, including different breeds, personalities, ages, energy levels, and individual needs. For dogs, I’ve cared for a variety of breeds and temperaments through walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting. While living in Australia, I spent two months walking and house sitting an Alaskan Malamute, which gave me valuable experience handling a large, high-energy dog with patience and confidence. I’ve also cared for dogs belonging to friends and family and enjoy adapting care to each dog’s personality and activity level. Cats have been a major part of my life for over a decade. I have three rescue cats of my own, all former strays, and I regularly foster cats and kittens. Through my own pets and fostering, I’ve cared for cats ranging from bottle babies to seniors, as well as shy, fearful, and formerly feral cats. I’m also comfortable caring for cats with special medical or dietary needs, including administering oral or topical medications, using syringes for feeding or medication, and following specific feeding and care routines. I pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, energy level, and litter box habits because I know that small changes can be important. I also understand how important it is to follow each pet’s normal routine and their owner’s instructions carefully. Whether your pet needs a walk, a drop-in visit, overnight care, medication, playtime, or simply some quiet companionship, I tailor my care to their individual personality and needs. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving their family peace of mind. Pet care is my full-time work, so I’m able to dedicate my days to providing attentive and reliable care for the pets I look after. I structure my schedule around my clients’ routines, whether that means morning walks, midday drop-ins, evening visits, or overnight stays. Because pet care is my primary focus, I have the flexibility to give each pet plenty of individual attention rather than trying to fit visits around another job or busy work schedule. I’m also able to accommodate longer stays and, when my schedule allows, last-minute bookings. I truly enjoy making pet care part of my everyday life, and I’m grateful to have the opportunity to give pets the companionship, exercise, and care they need while their families are away. When I care for pets in a client’s home, my top priority is to ensure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved; just as they would if you were home. During house sitting, I stay in your home and closely follow your pet’s usual routine, whether that includes feeding, medication, walks, playtime, or quiet companionship. I also keep your home clean, secure, and tidy, watering plants if needed, and making sure everything is just as you left it. For drop-in visits, I provide personalized care and attention, including feeding, fresh water, cleaning litter boxes or backyard potty breaks, administering medications when required, and spending quality time playing or cuddling. Whatever your pet needs to feel relaxed and cared for while you're away. When it comes to dog walking, safety is always my number one priority. I use secure harnesses or leashes, avoid busy or high-traffic areas, stay alert to other animals and potential distractions, and tailor each walk to your dog’s pace and energy level. I never walk dogs off-leash and always ensure they’re hydrated and comfortable before and after each outing. Plus, I send regular updates so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.

“I can't recommend Catarina enough. She's incredibly conscientious — always on time, always communicative, and it's clear she genuinely cares about the dogs she walks. My dog Hazel absolutely adores her, which says everything. If you want someone reliable, dependable, and truly great with animals, look no further.”

“Ruzilia walked our dog, Nico, twice this week, and I am very grateful for her help. She was caring and genuinely considerate of his wellbeing, especially with the heat we have been having. She paid close attention to the temperature and was cautious about hot asphalt, which I really appreciate since Nico is an older dog. He came back from both walks comfortable and happy.”

“McKenzie is so kind and reliable! She was very communicative with us throughout which we really appreciated. Our dog obviously loved her too because he had no problem cuddling on her lap during her visits! :-) We will absolutely request McKensize again!”

“I have only been using Cay for a couple of weeks now, but so far she has been very consistent and when one of us have something that comes up, we rearrange our schedules together. My dog, Wrangler, loves her and looks so forward to his walks with Cay! Several neighbors have commented how beautifully they walk together. Thank you, Cay!”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Courtney was amazing and helped out on very short notice with my wild puppy! She was a great communicator, kept me updated clearly throughout the stay, and made me feel completely at ease. I really appreciated her flexibility and care. 5 out of 5 stars — I will definitely book with her again!”

“Jarrod did a great job walking my Alaskan Malamutes. He was an attentive and active listener, learning their commands and walking style. He offered positive feedback on the walking experience. Both dogs came back happy and relaxed. I look forward to continuing to work with Jarrod.”

About: I’ve provided a loving home for non human kids for over 20 years. I treat mine and those trusted to me with love, attention, respect, and care. I work from home so I am always available and very hands on. I currently work from home with a flexible schedule so I can tend to the furry kids. I have time for play, walks and rubs. I have a doggy door and very secure fencing for free roaming. I can offer 15 minute walks as often as necessary or 45 minute walks every 5 hours.
About: I have been a lifetime pet parent and now I’m sitting full time. I am use to small to medium breeds, I enjoy walks around the neighborhood, play time and I do homework outside to the pups get more run time. I also can do Poppins for any type of animals. I’m a full time on line student so I’m almost always home. I love animals. I like to play with them in the yard or cuddle up on the couch. I either walk them when needed or when it is safe to do I don’t like to take any dogs out on hot pavement unless they’re wearing shoes. I am very respectful of my clients home and even willing to do small chores while gone.. I do enjoy being outside and playing ball with the dogs. Or lazing outside with them
“This was Sonjia’s first time walking our dog, Nico, and she did a wonderful job. She took him on two walks on Thursday and another on Friday, and she was punctual, professional, and easy to communicate with throughout. Nico responded really well to her right away. He is an older dog and the heat can tire him out quickly. He came back from each walk tired in a good way, and it was clear she handled him with care and attention. We felt very comfortable trusting her with him and would happily book her again.”

Fallon was wonderful with Ty Chi! She was available on short notice for two walks, which I really appreciated, and was very communicative throughout the entire process. She was punctual, professional, receptive to all of my instructions, and followed them carefully. She also has a genuinely kind and friendly personality, and I felt very comfortable trusting Ty Chi in her care. It was clear that she took the responsibility seriously while also being caring and attentive with him. I would absolutely recommend Fallon to other pet parents and would be happy to have her care for Ty Chi again!

Maria is wonderful, so kind and thoughtful. She would arrive early on hot days to maximize the walk before temps increased, which I really appreciated. Maria helped me with my pup while I was recovering from foot surgery, and I couldn’t have done the past two weeks without her.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Courtney was amazing and helped out on very short notice with my wild puppy! She was a great communicator, kept me updated clearly throughout the stay, and made me feel completely at ease. I really appreciated her flexibility and care. 5 out of 5 stars — I will definitely book with her again!

If you need a pet sitter/dog walker, without hesitation I highly recommend River. River comes with experience volunteering at an animal shelter and having dogs throughout her life. From the start, River kept me informed upon her arrival, start of walk, took photos during the time she was with my dog, and return time and route. She would also spend some time with me after my dog’s walk to answer any questions I had and make sure my dog had some water and a little treat before she left. River is a very kind person who genuinely cares for dogs. I was truly impressed and grateful she was able to help me out in a crunch. It was a relief to know while I was out of pocket on a medical issue , my dog was still able to have a great time on his daily walks and “sniff-ari” with someone I am comfortable and confident with. My dog is special needs (blind and deaf) and River provided a peace of mind for me with her dog handling skills, and fun and luv on walks for my dog. I will definitely hire River the next time I need a pet sitter.

Happy to have Jacob as an occasional dog walker for my girl Jellybean! Great communication, quick to respond and follows through. Was so flexible for rescheduling multiple times when my work schedule changed. Jacobs is friendly, eager to help and seems very attentive and respectful towards animals. Thanks Jacob!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
