Jess has been nothing sort of wonderful! I am SO happy and relieved I found her. She is very soft spoken and calm, but not timid. I have a mini Aussie so he is very high energy and smart. He can be a lot if not handled properly, but she does everything beautifully! Now he waits at the window to watch and wait for her as he loves her so much ❤️

About: I’ve cared for animals my whole life, dogs, cats, small pets and I’m known for being calm, patient, and detail-oriented. I specialize in in-home care so your pet stays relaxed in their familiar space. I’m comfortable with seniors, puppies, and anxious or shy pets, and I follow your routines exactly (feeding, meds, potty schedule, exercise). My schedule allows me plenty of time for quality pet care! I’m available most mornings and evenings. I do work part time and have my kids week on week off so between work and kids I make time for pet walks and pet care when I have my kids. When I don't have my kids, I have more available hours and can-do house sitting locally in the placer county area. I take caring for pets in their own home very seriously and always treat your space with respect. I follow your routines exactly ~ meals, walks, meds, and bedtime ~ so your pets feel calm and secure while you’re away. I keep everything tidy, lock up carefully, and provide regular photo updates so you can relax knowing your home and pets are safe and well cared for. My goal is to make your time away completely worry-free.

Ruzilia walked our dog, Nico, twice this week, and I am very grateful for her help. She was caring and genuinely considerate of his wellbeing, especially with the heat we have been having. She paid close attention to the temperature and was cautious about hot asphalt, which I really appreciate since Nico is an older dog. He came back from both walks comfortable and happy.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 10 years old, helping family, friends, and neighbors with feeding, fresh water, playtime, walks, potty breaks, check-ins, and keeping them company. I’m comfortable helping with daily routines such as giving treats, cleaning up after pets, providing exercise, playing fetch, giving them attention and affection, and making sure they are comfortable and safe in their home. I understand that every dog has their own personality, energy level, routine, and needs, and I take the time to learn what makes each pet feel comfortable and secure. I’m patient, responsible, attentive, and able to recognize when a dog may need space, extra attention, or reassurance. I’m currently a part-time college student and looking for a part-time job, so I have flexibility in my schedule for pet care. I’m available for pet sitting, walks, check-ins, and other pet-care needs around my class schedule. I’m happy to communicate with pet parents ahead of time to make sure I can provide reliable, consistent, and loving care for their pets. I have a safe and caring environment where pets can feel comfortable and secure. I take pet safety seriously and always follow their normal routines, feeding instructions, medication directions, and exercise needs. I provide plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks, and supervision while making sure each pet feels comfortable and cared for. I’m also respectful of clients’ homes and will treat their pets and belongings with the same care I would want for my own.

About: I have a genuine love for animals, along with the compassion and hands-on experiencing to provide them with the best care. Growing up with a dog, I have always had a special bond with animals and understand how much they become part of the family. Pet sitting for family, friends, and other pet owners I have cared for pets with a variety of personalities routines, and individual needs. I am responsible, dependable, and attentive to detail, whether it’s following feeding schedules, going on walks, providing exercise and playtime, or simply making sure each pet feels safe and comfortable. I love, giving pets plenty of attention, companionship, and, of course, lots of love and cuddles! Most importantly, I want every pet to feel happy and cared for while giving their owners peace of mind, knowing their fur baby is in loving and trustworthy hands! I have a flexible schedule that allows me to easily fit pet care into my daily and weekly routine. I am available for regular walks, drop in visits, feeding, playtime, and companionship throughout the week. I’m also available for boarding on the weekends. Which allows me to provide pets with plenty of attention and care in a comfortable environment. I live in an apartment, but I love being active and spending time outdoors, so taking dogs on walks is one of my favorite parts of pet care. When caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment, where they can feel relaxed and at home. I make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection throughout the day. I enjoy going on walks, playing with toys, giving belly, rubs and cuddles, and making sure they are never feeling lonely or bored. When caring for pets in a client‘s home, I make it a prior to follow their normal routine as close as possible. I’m happy to follow specific feeding schedules, provide freshwater, take dogs on walks, clean up after them, and give them plenty of playtime and companionship. I have a safe, fenced yard they can run around in or if they would rather hang out with me, sit in my lap, lay in my bed. I walk multiple times a day and have nature and walking trails around my home. I have a quiet room if your pet needs quiet space or they can run around the house and explore and play with my kids (10 and 12) and hang out with my family.

I couldn't be more pleased with Benjamin's exceptional dog walking services. He walked my beloved dog, Ty Chi, for a week twice a day, and the care and attention he provides are truly outstanding. From the very first walk, it was evident that Benjamin has a genuine passion for dogs. He takes the time to understand my dog's unique needs and personality, ensuring that Ty Chi always feels comfortable and happy. Benjamin's care for details is remarkable—he meticulously follows all instructions regarding Ty Chi's specific needs. He even takes the time to update me with photos and notes after each walk, which I greatly appreciate. Punctuality is another one of Benjamin's strengths. He has never missed a scheduled walk and always arrives on time, ready to give Ty Chi the exercise and attention he needs. This reliability gives me peace of mind, knowing that my dog is in capable and trustworthy hands. What truly sets Benjamin apart is his attention to detail. He notices the little things that make a big difference, such as adjusting the leash to ensure Ty Chi's comfort to make the walk even more enjoyable. His thoughtful approach shows how much he cares about the dogs he walks. I highly recommend Benjamin to anyone in need of a dog walker who is not only professional and reliable but also genuinely cares about the well-being of your pet. Ty Chi and I are incredibly grateful for Benjamin's outstanding service and look forward to many more walks together!

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 16 years old. I love to play with them, walk them, and cuddle them. I also bathe them if requested, always on time with feeding schedules and walks, if it is an overnight stay I clean as well. Family members and friends have put all their trust in me and I never let them down. Along with pet sitting I clean, do laundry, water plants, get the mail everyday, and make sure to take the trashes to the curb. I look forward to taking care of your animals:) I currently have a part time job where my schedule can sometimes be all over the place. Typically I work early mornings to sometimes late afternoons. But when scheduling with me we can figure out what works best. Weekends I am completely free:) I am not accepting pets into my home as my animal is scared of others but will gladly come to your house. Typically I do anything that is listed by the owner. A list of items I do are feed, change water, pick up poop, walk the dogs, play with them, give them their medicine and/or treats, and bathe if requested.

My background makes me highly routine-oriented, meaning I am incredibly reliable when it comes to early morning check-ins, evening walks, or overnight sitting blocks. About: I have been pet sitting for over 12 years in Washington D.C., Seattle, and Placer County CA. I had a roster of repeat clients and was so in demand that I had to stop advertising. All of my clients eventually booked me via word of mouth. I still keep in touch with all of my clients. I have taken care of all types (young, old, large, and small) of dogs and dogs with medical issues. I pride myself on being communicative and taking the best care of your pet, by tailoring the care to your expectations and pets needs. I have references upon request. Throughout the past 6+, I have experience house-sitting for family friends and neighbors and taking care of pets that couldn't go along with them on vacation. As part of a house-sitting service, I know that maintaining gardens and plants is tough, so I am always happy to help in that area as well as any other around-the-house duties. I pride myself on being very communicative and transparent. I always send the owners pictures of their and inform them about how things are going.

About: We take dogs up to 50 lbs. for boarding or daycare and only one family at a time. Our high school-aged sons (ages 17 and 15), my husband, and we will treat your pet as our own. Ryan can walk your dogs up to 5 miles per day and is home full-time. We have had pets in the past, but don't have any pets of our own at this time. We take up to three animals for boarding/daycare at a time, but only from the same family. We are loving, gentle, and fun and had dogs and cats growing up. We have a nice sized yard and live in a single story house. Our boys are looking forward to helping us care for your pet, whether it is walking your dog, boarding your dog or cat, or playing with your fur-baby. We'll take dogs up to 50 lbs in our home, up to 60 lbs for walks, and up to 75 lbs for drop-ins in your home. Only spayed/neutered animals please. For overnight stays, please have no more than 24 hours between drop-off and pick-up times. If picked up over 24 hours after dropped off, there may be a fee for 1 day of doggie daycare. We have a fenced-in yard and ensure boarded pets are safe and secure in our one-story home. We offer all services except for house-sitting at this time. Andrea works from home full-time and Ryan is a stay-at-home parent, so someone is home almost round-the-clock. When we do need to go out, we can either crate the dog(s) or put them in the bathroom. If you need a pet sitter/dog walker, without hesitation I highly recommend River. River comes with experience volunteering at an animal shelter and having dogs throughout her life. From the start, River kept me informed upon her arrival, start of walk, took photos during the time she was with my dog, and return time and route. She would also spend some time with me after my dog’s walk to answer any questions I had and make sure my dog had some water and a little treat before she left. River is a very kind person who genuinely cares for dogs. I was truly impressed and grateful she was able to help me out in a crunch. It was a relief to know while I was out of pocket on a medical issue , my dog was still able to have a great time on his daily walks and “sniff-ari” with someone I am comfortable and confident with. My dog is special needs (blind and deaf) and River provided a peace of mind for me with her dog handling skills, and fun and luv on walks for my dog. I will definitely hire River the next time I need a pet sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
