“Derek and Leslie were awesome with my Lucy! They sent daily updates and pictures and made sure that she was comfortable with the family. They only had their own dog, which was nice that it wasn't a "dog hotel". I will be contacting them again in the near future.”

“Another day booked with Angela. My dog is a 14 year old senior, and he sleeps a lot. He doesn't "roosta like he usta". Angela's home was comfortable and serene enough that Bishop didn't even realize I came to pick him up. Love that!! Thanks Again.”

“Adrienne was great! This was my first experience with Rover and it was the perfect fit. Kona enjoyed his weekend away and I was provided pics and videos of all the fun he was having! Book with Adrienne and you are in great hands!”

“This is the second time Alexis and her family have watched our Golden. They are amazing! We can tell from the photos how happy our Leo is staying with them. It’s very comforting!”

“Janice was an excellent sitter. My dog had a an unforeseen medical issue and Janice volunteered to take my dog to the veterinary clinic which was above and beyond expectations. Janice sent updates throughout the days my dog was in her care via pictures and short videos. I highly recommend Janice.”

“Nancy was absolutely awesome! She took excellent care of our guy with plenty of exercise. More than he is used to! He came back a little trimmer! He also had plenty of his favorite thing...relaxing next to someone on a couch! She only does obe dog at a time which is even better. She has a wealth of experience with training large dogs. I highly recommend her.”

“Macey takes such great care of my pup, Genji. Macey and her family treat my dog as if he were theirs. Macey also has well-socialized dogs of her own that also love and take care of Genji. This includes her Husky who is about 30xs bigger than Genji. I’ve used Macey twice now and will continue to do so.”

“All I can say is Wow! Everything was perfect with Sylvia and her pup Finn! The dogs got along so well and the yard is shaded and green. I got pictures during the stay and my dog, Deschutes was stretched out on the carpet with a face of contentment. Just what a dog owner wants to see!”

“Olesia is the best cat caregiver ever! She loves cats so much and treated our kitty like her own. She sent many many pictures and updates which gave us confidence and helped us relax while on vacation. Her husband is wonderful, too. We feel very lucky to have found her and will be asking her to care for our kitty again very soon.”

“I loved how she made my two year old feel at ease, he was wining when I was getting him home shows how much he enjoyed his stay, I will definitely choose her for my dog next stays.”
“This is the first time that I've used Johnna, and all have to say is the cats warmed up to her immediately. Is she a pet whisperer? Everything went smoothly and she did everything I asked. She cleaned up litter messes and took it out to our outside garbage can so there was no litter smells when we got home. She spent time playing with them and even got my anxious cat to warm up to her. Definitely recommend her!”

“Erin and Devin took such amazing care of our dog, Kody, while we were away. Kody is usually pretty anxious, so we’re always a bit nervous leaving him—but he absolutely loved being with them. It was clear from the updates that he felt comfortable, happy, and right at home. Knowing he was in such good hands allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our vacation stress-free, which means everything. We’re so grateful to have found Erin and Devin and wouldn’t hesitate to trust them with Kody again. Highly recommend!”

About: Animals have been part of my life since I was an early adult, and caring and connecting with them comes naturally. As a wellness coach, husband and father of two, I’m big on structure, patience, and creating a calm, safe inviting environment for every dog I work with. I’m active outdoors, hiking, walking trails, and exploring around in the neighborhood, so your dog will get plenty of movement and attention. I will always adapt movement and attention needs to your liking. I’ve handled everything from high-energy pups to gentle senior dogs, and I’m confident with feeding routines, medication reminders, crate-training basics, and helping anxious dogs feel secure. I treat every pet like my own and keep owners updated with photos, check-ins, and clear communication so you always know your dog is in good hands. Whether your dog needs long walks, overnight care, or a dependable companion while you’re away, I bring consistency, kindness, and professional-level responsibility to every stay. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I work from home and set my own schedule. I’m already outdoors often, walking, working on the yard, biking, or taking my own dog out around the neighborhood or on the trails, so adding your pup into my day is a seamless fit. I’m available for boarding service either at my home or yours for 2-4 days during the week and weekend boarding requests as well. Your dog will always get consistent attention, movement, and care, never rushed or squeezed into a busy schedule. I provide a calm, structured environment that helps dogs feel comfortable the moment they arrive. My home in Fair Oaks has a large, fenced yard with plenty of safe space to explore. Outdoor time is always supervised, gates stay secured, and I keep clear routines for feeding, play, and rest so dogs settle in smoothly. We have two friendly dogs of our own, a Papillon and a Min Pin/Jack Russell mix, who enjoy having new companions around. They’re social, well-behaved, and help create an easygoing atmosphere for visiting pups. If a dog prefers their own space, I can separate areas to make sure everyone feels relaxed. For boarding in my home, I do require that dogs are potty trained. If you’re still working on potty training, I’m more than happy to support that process in your home. I’m also comfortable with crate routines, senior care, medication reminders, and maintaining whatever structure your dog is used to. As a father and longtime pet owner, safety and communication are top priorities, I send photo updates and check-ins so you always feel connected while you’re away.
“We are so relieved to have a smart, reliable family... to watch our Haru when we're away. They kept me updated throughout Haru’s stay. We highly recommend Mike and Patricia!”

“Nadezhda (Nadia) and Alex are an awesome couple who welcomed Kenta as the newest member of their family. Kenta was loved, cared for, and pampered by the entire family. Alex and Nadia shared great pics and videos daily letting us see how content our big boy was with them. I recommend them highly.”

“Greg is an amazing caregiver. He spoils my dog so much. Bring her to him is a treat for her. There is a lot of peace of mind knowing she will have multiple daily walks, a regular routine and loving care. This time my flight was delayed and I couldn’t pick up at the set time. Greg was understanding and super accommodating. He helped make a tough situation so much less stressful. Highly recommend!!”

Darlene was amazing! We received multiple updates every day of our girl “smiling”, playing ball, hardcore relaxing, and eating her meals promptly (which is notable on its own, as she rarely eats right away at home). Birdie was happy and clearly well taken care of when we picked her up. We’re glad to have added Darlene to our village of caring people who keep our family afloat ❤️

I would highly recommend Derek and Leslie. Our normal dog-boarding fell through the night before our trip and they were able to take our dog Charlie last minute. He seemed to have a great time staying with them and we appreciated the pictures and updates. We'll definitely be using them again.

Nancy was an outstanding dog sitter for Zoey! From the moment I booked with her, she was incredibly communicative and made the entire process easy and stress free. Throughout Zoey’s stay, Nancy sent frequent updates, photos, and messages so I always knew how she was doing. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing Zoey was in such caring and capable hands. I could tell Nancy genuinely cared about her and treated her like one her own. I would absolutely book with Nancy again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive, and compassionate dog sitter.

Chong gave us daily updates of our little four legged child and took great care of our doggy who is a bit shy to warm up. Gus also is the goofiest but most respectful little man and is so adaptable to any dog personality. Chong definitely made our trip easy by giving us piece of mind and we will be going back to her for our future trips!

Melissa was a great sitter for my dog over the holidays. She sent pictures to update me on how my dog was doing and went above and beyond to make sure his stay would be comfortable. Melissa was also very flexible and communicative when my flights were delayed and I wasn’t sure about a pickup time. Would absolutely consider booking Melissa again in the future.

Marian did an amazing job caring for my dog Charlotte for five nights in my home. She was professional and respectful throughout. Although it was my first time meeting someone through the Rover website, upon meeting her, she had my full trust. Charlotte is a very active dog and can be a handful. Marian took her to the dog park every day and kept her busy with play time in the evening. She communicated with me regularly and sent photos so I didn't have to worry. I am sure Charlotte missed us, but we came home to a happy dog. I feel lucky to have found a person to help us care for Charlotte who is as kind and knowledgeable as Marian. I hope to have her dog sit for me again in the future.

Jennifer was amazing with our puppy Juniper. She took such great care of her. You can tell she loves dogs and is great with them based on how well behaved her own are. We appreciate the extra care and attention she provided for our puppy and will most certainly book with her again. We also loved the photos and videos sent while we were away. Thank you Jennifer!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
