“I’ve re-booked with Stacy now and it’s been so seamless each time! She’s been flexible and my dog Jax really enjoys it here and appears very comfortable while under her care!”

“Andrew was amazing with cloud and took great care of him. We were traveling and its always difficult to leave your fur baby behind but Andrew made sure to send us so many pictures of all the fun they had every day. Honestly we were relieved to know that cloud was much loved and cared for while we were gone. Cloud loved his stay and would look forward to going back and spending time with Andrew and his lovely family the next time we need someone to carr for him. We will most definitely use Andrew's services again.”

“Sheryl and family were the most amazing hosts for my dogs! It was like they WERE family. They were gentle, prepared and loving to my two rescues on their first sleepover. They were there for a week while I was traveling for work and I was so relieved to know they were in great hands. Will definitely keep this connection. ❤️”

“Shambi had a great stay with Kelle and Ivy. Kelle is very friendly, accommodating, and responsive. I appreciated her updates and getting Shambi a little gift since she was staying for Christmas. ☺️ Will definitely use to board again!”

About: I’ve grown up around animals and have experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I understand that every pet has different needs, and I certainly take the time to make them feel safe and loved. I’m dependable, communicative, and committed to giving you peace of mind while you’re away! I currently work full time at parlor doughnuts but am off relatively early during the day! Plenty of time to spend with your beloved pets! I provide a safe and comfortable environment with plenty of attention, playtime, and regular walks. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine!

“What a great experience. Wullie, our 6-year old Labradoodle, enjoyed a 10-day vacation at Dondee’s house. When we arrived to Dondee’s home, Wullie jumped out of the car and never looked back. There was so much room to run, so many other animals to meet, he had a blast. Dondee sent us photos and videos of Wullie everyday showing him running in the fields, playing with other dogs, and having a great pet vacation. We will definitely book again! Thank you Dondee for taking such great care of Wullie!”

“Erin, Brandon and family were amazing. Our mini-golden doodle was well cared for and received lots of love and snuggles from the kids. Communication was great with pictures and updates throughout his stay. Would highly recommend this sweet family.”

“Very friendly people who made my Pom feel comfortable and happy. Great to have a very accessible backyard fence to roam and play with their two dogs. Someone home all the time. Great communication and photos each day.”

“We had a great experience with Elizabeth! Our dog seemed relaxed and happy when we picked him up, and it was clear that he was very well cared for. Elizabeth was also very communicative and sent multiple updates throughout the stay, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. Would definitely book again!”

“I had a great experience leaving my 2 dogs with Donna. One of my dogs is older and anxious but she took excellent care of him. She has a big yard with plenty of room for the dogs to run and get exercise. I loved that she sent pictures and updates every few days while I was gone. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter.”

About: I am set apart from the other sitters because I have knowledge and experience in the medical field. I was a Vet Tech and have my degree before I became pregnant. I have cared for senior dogs and have a 20 year old Chihuahua. I’ve loved animals since forever. I have a deep passion for helping animals. Your dog will be treated like family while you are away. I provide a safe, comfortable , and loving environment with plenty of attention, playtime, and cuddles. I'll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing you pup is happy and cared for. I have a Vet Tech degree but I currently just had my first baby 9 months ago so I am at home watching her, but I would love to get back to caring for animals. I believe I was put on this Earth to nurture and care for animals. One of my favorite things to do is train dogs. I get so many complements on how well my dogs act. I would love to help anyone struggling with behavioral issues. I know how stressful boarding can be. That is why I want to make it as stress free as possible. Our dogs have their own area in the basement so they will never come into contact with your pups and we take walks daily. I also have worked in Vet clinics and know how to give medications and first aid care if needed. I take my boarding very seriously and am committed to making your dog feel the most at home. I finished schooling to become a Vet Technician and than became pregnant. So currently I am at home with my 9 month old. I am eager to get back to caring for animals but also would like to spend time taking care of my daughter as well! I have four dogs and three cats. Our dogs do really well with other dogs but our German Sheperd can be a bit shy at first because he was attacked as a puppy. I know how stressful it can be housing your dogs with other dogs, so to easy your mind I have turned our basement into a dog only zone with toys/kennels/treats where our dogs will stay when I am boarding other peoples dogs, So that they never have to intact with each other. They will be let out separately as well. We don’t have a fenced in yard but we have a decent sized yard and your dogs will be leashes outside at all times.
The median cost per night for pet boarding in Rochester is $40
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Rochester
My 2 dogs were clearly comfortable staying with Matt and Angela for 9 days. We had a meet-up ahead of time to make sure everyone got along. My dogs enjoyed playing with the other dogs that were there from time to time, and I felt comfortable that there were options available in case of conflict. I would definitely leave them with Matt and Angela again.

Rebekah is so kind, responsible, and genuine. She was the first person to watch my puppy for a weekend. I was so anxious about leaving him, but her calm presence and updates made me feel so reassured. She has great attention to detail, and I knew my pup was in good hands. I highly recommend her!

I recently had the pleasure of having David care for my dog Roxy. I really appreciate the attention, care, and kindness he gave to her. David provided great update texts and photos. Drop off and pick up were easy and convenient. I highly recommend David for reliable and caring pet care services.

Ashley was so accommodating by taking Piper with only 24 hr notice. Awesome communication and met us at the door as we walked up to her house at drop off. Piper was spoiled during the day with walks and lots of love. We were updated with pictures and videos during the day. Highly recommend Ashley and we will be contacting her when our next appointment is scheduled at Mayo Clinic.

We left our puppy with Maya for almost a week and it went amazing. We were nervous to leave him but she gave us daily updates and photos to keep our minds at ease, it was wonderful. Everything seemed to go great, she was very responsive and our puppy had a great time!

Denielle was great to work with when coordinating Kona's stay. She was very responsive and organized. After meeting her and seeing the large fenced in backyard I knew Kona was in good hands. Highly recommend Denielle for boarding. Kona had fun playing with her two dogs.

The first overnight with this host family was a success; our two dogs were happy and comfortable in their surroundings, as evidenced by the frequent photos depicting walks and other activities, as well as their behavior when we arrived to pick them up. It’s such a a relief being able to schedule occasional time away and knowing our pups will be well cared for. Again, thank you very much!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
