Hi! I’m Matt, a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, and small pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I am very attentive to each pet’s emotional needs. I’ve cared for puppies who need structure, adult dogs who thrive on routine, and senior dogs who benefit from patience and a slower pace. I’m comfortable administering oral medications and following detailed care instructions carefully. My wife is a former veterinary technician and now a PhD researcher working from home. While I provide the daily hands-on care, her background adds an extra layer of awareness and reassurance, particularly for senior or special-needs pets. Whenever possible, I like to schedule a quick meet-and-greet. It gives us a chance to make sure everyone feels comfortable and that your pet has a chance to explore and get familiar with me. If you're looking for dependable, warm, experienced pet care, I would love to meet you and your pet. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, entertained, and never lonely.

Matt & Angela were amazing and couldn’t recommend them more! I have never left my dog, Jax, with anyone other than family while I was out of town. Finding someone I could trust, and love on him as their own was extremely important to me. Matt sent daily pictures and updates to me letting me know how Jax was doing and what he was up to or enjoying that day. Both Matt & Angela went above and beyond to make sure Jax was comfortable and well loved. We will definitely be booking again :)

Matt and Angela made my small nervous dogs feel so welcome, much better than the boarding experience last time I left home. Matt let them roam just like at home, cleaned up a puppy mess, and gave me awesome updates! I was also new to the Rover process and thought I had booked him last month but hadn’t, and he was flexible and understanding.
I would absolutely love for Matthew and Angela to take care of our cat Lucy again when needed! They were the dream sitters in our opinion. We have nothing but positive thoughts and energy about them. Daily reports and pics/video help to diminish my anxiety about leaving my baby for so long and with strangers to her. The best experience of cat sitting so far! Thanks Matthew and Angela!!

Maple is a quarky dog so he can a lot at times. Takes him a bit to settle in and enjoy new surroundings. Matt and Angela were awesome and so welcoming. Takes a special person to open their home and help out others. They are the best.

In our home, pets are treated like part of the family. They’re welcome to relax on the couch and even on the bed if that’s what they’re used to. Outdoor time is always supervised in our secure yard, and I monitor interactions carefully. I understand how important it is for you to feel at ease while you’re away. That’s why I send regular photo and video updates so you can see your pet happy, relaxed, and having fun. For drop-in visits and dog walking, I follow your instructions closely, maintain your routines, and treat your space with complete respect.

A typical day
Each day unfolds at a comfortable, relaxed pace so your pet can settle in naturally. Mornings begin with a gentle start, breakfast, and time to ease into the day. Depending on your dog’s personality and energy level, that might include a walk, interactive play, enrichment activities, or simply staying close and enjoying quiet companionship snuggling on the couch Throughout the day I pay attention to each pet’s mood, routine, and individual needs. If a dog requires medication, a slower pace, or extra reassurance, I make sure those needs are handled carefully and consistently. Evenings are calm and cozy, giving pets time to relax and wind down so they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away.
