“Mia is a very responsible sitter! My cat is a shy boy when seeing strangers, but he was willing to play with Mia! Definitely will have another booking with Mia in the future.”

“Nevaeh is the best! Our babies absolutely loved her. We felt so comfortable leaving for the weekend knowing she was watching them! Will definitely have her back the next time we are out of town.”

About: We had a poodle and then a cat in the house when I was a kid. Since then I've lived with several different cats and have been helping to look after friends' pets of various species when they're out of town or unavailable. I completed a course by the Professional Pet Care Association to become a Certified Pet Sitter and Dog Walker. I typically start my primary job at 3pm so late mornings and early afternoons are great for drop-ins or walks. Thursdays and Fridays are my normal days off so I'm available to spend more time with your pets then. The Practical Stuff: Happy to come over and provide food, water, exercise, and scoop litter boxes for your pets. The Other Important Stuff: I want your pet to feel safe and cared for while you're not there. I love petting, cuddling, playing, talking and generally hanging out with any dog or cat that wants the attention. If you have other pets like fish, reptiles, arthropods, etc. I can likely help out with them too. Let's talk about it. I'm fond of house plants and have dozens of my own so I'm happy to keep them watered for you.
About: Hello! I have had dogs around me all my life. I’m currently a dog parent to two Chihuahua mix dogs, Bennie and Jet. Both are rescued and very sweet. I have assisted in training hunting dogs for my family and friends. I don’t have any professional experience, but I love dogs and I’m very good at making dogs feel safe and loved. I live in Rochester, MN and work a job that is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm in the office. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know. I would love to get to know you and your four legged family members!!! I typically work 9am-5pm at the office 3-4 days a week. In the mornings, I take my pups out to go potty and then they tend to come in and go back to bed. When I can I like to come home over my lunch to take them out and play a bit. In the evenings, we play outside if it’s nice and inside if not. My pups are free feeders so they eat when they are hungry and I just fill the bowl back up, this is typically 1/2-1 cup per day for my two chihuahuas. I’ve followed more routine feeding with my dogs in the past but this works best for mine now. My pups will cuddle on the couch with me until bedtime then they sleep in bed with me. I have a fenced in yard with trees for the pups to play in. Good side-walked neighborhood for walks. My house has stairs but I use baby gates for when senior or special needs pets visit. Lots of dog beds and blankets, all the blankets in my house belong to the pups lol.

“Andrea was excellent with the cats (even the shy one came out for love and pets after only one day)! She was attentive to their needs (even the special ones), and I can’t wait to book again in the future! I highly recommend using Andrea’s pet care services for your kitty friends!”

“I felt so good knowing Andrea was coming over and taking care of Josie. This was my first time leaving her home by herself so it was hard for me, but knowing Andrea documented all the important things in pictures (eating, drinking, getting her meds, using the bathroom) and even taking time to play with her! it eased my angst so much. I will definitely be using Andrea in the future to care for Josie :)”

“Callie did a great job with our girls! On time as scheduled and very patient and let the girls slowly warm up to her. She was so detailed in her note and sent us lots of great photos! Will definitely be using her again!!!”

“Brittany was great! My cat was well cared for, and had a blast during play time!! She was also super flexible when we needed an extra day of drop in visits! 10/10!”

“Joanna was amazing! She made sure to send us adorable updates about our pet while we were away for about a week for our wedding! We never had to worry if our baby back home was being taken care of.”

“Scott was able to come out on short notice, meeting Sasha the day before. They played outside, then spent some time relaxing indoors, giving me peace of mind while I was out of town. I highly recommend Scott and will be setting up more visits for next week.”

“Mara was awesome!! The cats seemed to be comfortable with her immediately -- even our shy girl. Her drop-in pics made us smile everyday and she followed instructions perfectly as far as we could tell! Thank you Mara! You rock :)”

“Victoria did a great job taking care of my crew over a 4-day weekend. They all did great and she communicated throughout the weekend with photos and updates. I highly recommend her.”

“Brittney is spectacular. She did pop-ins with my dog on short notice. Friendly, timely, and professional communications, with much appreciated pictures of the pooch. 10/10 Will use again”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Rochester
Finding dog care in Rochester Mn has been a challenge for us. We’ve had sitters who seemed to adore the dogs but didn’t communicate much or we always worry about finding someone capable of handling a large working dog breed Nicole is everything and more you could wish for from a dog care profession. PLUS she has professional trainer expertise AND adores German Shepherd dogs! GSD She kept us informed on her arrival & the dogs emotional state both days we booked her for “check in”. We were gone for 10hr days and needed to have someone to just “let the dogs out”. Nicole engaged with them, got them to play and even documented the number of pees & visits to a water bowl. Ontop of that we got photos of our dogs smiling I’m not certain about all pet owners but when i get a photo of my dog/s smiling while I’m away it just puts us at ease and we can enjoy where we are without anxiety. So if you want to be able to relax and enjoy your day knowing your dogs are happy, safe, & cared for by a pro - Nicole is your go-to!!

Callie was such an amazing, thoughtful, and intentional caregiver for my lil baby!! Absolutely wonderful with both pet care and other home tasks (e.g., plants, vacuum maintenance) and gives such adorable and informative report cards. I cannot recommend her enough and am thrilled to have her as a caregiver any time!

Elise was so kind and thoughtful with our dogs, even with our little one's accidental dribbles! She played with them really well, gave them plenty of walking time, and followed our care instructions to a tee. We look forward to having Elise take care of our doggos again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
