“I am so happy and fortunate to have found Angela. I had to take a business trip and left my kitty for the first time. Angela made me very comfortable and I knew right away that he was in good hands. I highly recommend Angela and I will definitely be calling her in the future.”

“Anne was so great! I can tell that she is a dog lover based on how she spoke about Maple and the pictures taken. Maple seemed very calm when I arrived home and comfortable too! I would 10/10 recommend Anne!”

“Mia is a very responsible sitter! My cat is a shy boy when seeing strangers, but he was willing to play with Mia! Definitely will have another booking with Mia in the future.”

“Brittney has watched our kitties twice for us now. She does a great job! Very responsible and loving towards them. We will continue to book with her and am glad to have found her!”

“I felt so good knowing Andrea was coming over and taking care of Josie. This was my first time leaving her home by herself so it was hard for me, but knowing Andrea documented all the important things in pictures (eating, drinking, getting her meds, using the bathroom) and even taking time to play with her! it eased my angst so much. I will definitely be using Andrea in the future to care for Josie :)”

“Lindsey is amazing! Strong communicator: responds quickly, always send pics & updates. She is kind and has experience working with spicy kitties like mine 😂 Always enjoy our interactions with her.”

“Joanna is a shining example of what Rover wants to present itself as! She was very kind, communicative, and clearly took the time to get to know my cat. Her notes were so well written and thorough. For as long as she is a sitter I will go to Joanna!”

“Mara was fantastic caring for my kitties while we were gone! She stepped up and provided excellent care for my cat, Ria, while she was recovering from an unexpected medical issue. I look forward to working with Mara again!”

“Loryn is a lifesaver and checked on my pup, Fiona, during a weekend and I could immediately tell that she loves dogs! She sent timely and adorable updates on my pup and I felt very at ease that Fiona was in good hands, will definitely book again!!”

“Scott was able to come out on short notice, meeting Sasha the day before. They played outside, then spent some time relaxing indoors, giving me peace of mind while I was out of town. I highly recommend Scott and will be setting up more visits for next week.”

“Hound is extremely reliable. This is so important when you have to entrust the care of your family member to someone else! He is kind and patient with our pooch who can be cantankerous and picky. We are so grateful to the care he has provided. Thank you Hound.”

“Callie is great! She checked in with our dogs precisely on time and left great notes + photos. The dogs love her. One of our dogs is diabetic - Callie was experienced with observing signs of glucose inbalance and administering insulin. We recommend Callie and will request her service in the future.”

“Danielle did an amazing job taking care of our pups! The updates and photos were great, allowing us to relax and enjoy our time away without worrying if our dogs were being taken care of. You can tell she genuinely cares about animals! We will definitely be reaching out to her for any future needs. Thanks Danielle!”

About: Hello! I have had dogs around me all my life. I’m currently a dog parent to two Chihuahua mix dogs, Bennie and Jet. Both are rescued and very sweet. I have assisted in training hunting dogs for my family and friends. I don’t have any professional experience, but I love dogs and I’m very good at making dogs feel safe and loved. I live in Rochester, MN and work a job that is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm in the office. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know. I would love to get to know you and your four legged family members!!! I typically work 9am-5pm at the office 3-4 days a week. In the mornings, I take my pups out to go potty and then they tend to come in and go back to bed. When I can I like to come home over my lunch to take them out and play a bit. In the evenings, we play outside if it’s nice and inside if not. My pups are free feeders so they eat when they are hungry and I just fill the bowl back up, this is typically 1/2-1 cup per day for my two chihuahuas. I’ve followed more routine feeding with my dogs in the past but this works best for mine now. My pups will cuddle on the couch with me until bedtime then they sleep in bed with me. I have a fenced in yard with trees for the pups to play in. Good side-walked neighborhood for walks. My house has stairs but I use baby gates for when senior or special needs pets visit. Lots of dog beds and blankets, all the blankets in my house belong to the pups lol.
The median cost per visit for pet sitting in Rochester is $20
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Rochester
Mia is very kind and patient. We had never boarded or had a sitter for our nervous little adoptee before so didn’t know what to expect, but everything went super well. Getting pictures of him sitting in her lap just made my day. She was timely and followed instructions/suggestions as well.

Joanna is simply the best! Prince always loves seeing her! Love all the beautiful photos Joanna takes of Prince. All the funny/thoughtful updates she provides about Prince after each visit are amazing! Highly recommend Joanna’s services. I am always at peace leaving the house knowing Joanna is looking after Prince in my absence. Thank you Joanna! ❤️

Callie was amazing! I submitted a last-minute drop-in request for both my dog and cat, and she was incredibly accommodating. She took the time to make sure both pets were cared for and provided updates that gave me peace of mind while I was away. My dog was happy and well cared for, and I appreciated that she also made sure my cat’s needs were met. It’s clear that Callie genuinely cares about animals and takes her responsibilities seriously. I would absolutely book with Callie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and responsive pet sitter.

Anna was a great pet sitter! She was also incredibly flexible, I accidentally booked the wrong dates (I put May instead of April), and she kindly accommodated the change without any issues. Most importantly, she got along really well with my cat, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. I would definitely recommend her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
