“Just wanted to share how wonderful it was working with Anne. My mom's cat, Joy, loved her! Anne was very attentive to Joy. She also helped out by bringing in the mail & even cleaned up a time or two when Joy got a little sick. I would highly recommend Anne!”
“Brittney was wonderful. I had a week that i needed care for my ladies while their regular daycare lady was away. I’d recommend Brittney, she was prompt and very good with the dogs. Her communication with me was excellent and the photos of the dogs brightened my days. Thank again Brittney!!”

“We’ve used Mia for both overnight stays and drop ins for our dogs. She’s super responsive and has helped us even for last minute care during the day. She’s been great with our dogs and easy to coordinate with. She’s the first person we check with now when we need a dog sitter!”

“Joanna did an excellent job taking care of our kitties! She went above and beyond to cater to each of their unique needs. She also was able to make sure one of our cats got their medication. She also takes amazing pictures! It made us so happy to see our kitties while we were away and missing them. We would love to have her take care of our cats anytime. She made our first time using Rover so easy and an extremely positive experience!”

“This is the second time Alison helping with our cats, bearded dragon and fish. She even helped with an unexpected cat accident and cleaned up for us. We will definitely work with her in the future.”

“Emily took such good care of our two dogs (one senior) and our two cats! We will definitely ask for her services again! Thank you so much for taking such good care and going above and beyond! ❤️”
About: I have always been around animals and have had pets my entire life, including cats, dogs, and even birds. I really enjoy taking care of all animals and providing excellent service. My family has a bird, two shih tzus, and a cat. I have frequently been around bigger breeds as well so I am comfortable with any-sized pet. I have experience walking other people's dogs and pet sitting for family and family friends. I am busy this summer preparing for college in the fall, but I wanted something that I care about to fill some of my free time. I am also saving up for college expenses. I would love to make pet sitting/walking a major part of my life. I would be able to watch pets at the owners' home. I will be able to watch them overnight, and or come over to check on them as well as taking walks and playing with them.
“Scott was able to come out on short notice, meeting Sasha the day before. They played outside, then spent some time relaxing indoors, giving me peace of mind while I was out of town. I highly recommend Scott and will be setting up more visits for next week.”

About: We both have taken care of pets from a younger age. Primarily dogs, but recently we've adopted five of our own cats and fostered one rescue who's now found a loving home. We are currently employed by my family part time, so we have tons of time to take care of pets and houses! Driving isn't an issue for us either, so we're usually open to travelling far. We are both knowledgeable on taking care of pets of all sizes. Our cat currently takes meds, so meds aren't an issue! We also are willing to follow any needed safety and care instructions for your pet!
“Angelina was absolutely amazing!! She cares and is super attentive to our pups during the sitting. If there was a mess in the house or if the puppies were just overly excited, she was sure to capture it and and share. There was always an abundance of pictures and an amazing note for each visit. She was awesome and one if not the best Rover we have ever had. I highly recommend her and will be looking at her first to book on our next getaway.”

“Mara was a kind and reliable sitter for my kitties, and even my shy boy trusted her right away. One thing I really appreciated was her flexibility when I asked if we could schedule an additional drop-in as I hadn’t seen one of my cats on the camera - She was able to do it same day and update me, which really gave me peace of mind.”

About: I have taken care of dogs for over 10 years. I often dog sit for my parents and friends. I am very adaptable to the needs of any animal! I currently work full time day shift and always have weekends off. On the weekends, we like to take walks to the park to play or just stay home and cuddle up on the couch and watch movies. I have a fenced in backyard. I work 10 minutes from home so I am free to stop in and let dogs out throughout the day.
“Callie is great! She checked in with our dogs precisely on time and left great notes + photos. The dogs love her. One of our dogs is diabetic - Callie was experienced with observing signs of glucose inbalance and administering insulin. We recommend Callie and will request her service in the future.”

“Danielle did an amazing job taking care of our pups! The updates and photos were great, allowing us to relax and enjoy our time away without worrying if our dogs were being taken care of. You can tell she genuinely cares about animals! We will definitely be reaching out to her for any future needs. Thanks Danielle!”

About: We have compassion for senior animals as we have cared for our own beloved pets. We enjoy dogs and cats alike. We love going on walks with our dog and playing fetch. One of us works full-time from home and the other works 50% of the time at home. Our weekends are usually free with events close to home. Our dog travels with us often. Daily walks, play-time, many cuddles on the couch. Scheduled feeding, daily grooming I.e. brushing. Any other needs your pet may have while in our care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
