“Alison was fantastic! We came home and the cats were relaxed and happy. She was able to work with one cat that is always in need of attention and another that needs space and will let you know when she is ready for attention. If you need a pet sitter, she is wonderful!”

“Joanna did an excellent job taking care of our kitties! She went above and beyond to cater to each of their unique needs. She also was able to make sure one of our cats got their medication. She also takes amazing pictures! It made us so happy to see our kitties while we were away and missing them. We would love to have her take care of our cats anytime. She made our first time using Rover so easy and an extremely positive experience!”

“Angelina was very prompt with her messaging. She was reliable as she showed up at the appropriate time and followed my pets care instructions exactly. I came home to find my furry friend properly cared for. I would use her again!”

About: I have always been around animals and have had pets my entire life, including cats, dogs, and even birds. I really enjoy taking care of all animals and providing excellent service. My family has a bird, two shih tzus, and a cat. I have frequently been around bigger breeds as well so I am comfortable with any-sized pet. I have experience walking other people's dogs and pet sitting for family and family friends. I am busy this summer preparing for college in the fall, but I wanted something that I care about to fill some of my free time. I am also saving up for college expenses. I would love to make pet sitting/walking a major part of my life. I would be able to watch pets at the owners' home. I will be able to watch them overnight, and or come over to check on them as well as taking walks and playing with them.
“Mia is a very responsible sitter! My cat is a shy boy when seeing strangers, but he was willing to play with Mia! Definitely will have another booking with Mia in the future.”

“Andria accepted our request immediately, had wonderful communication before meeting, met on time to learn the details of our cat and meet him. During her visits, she would sent pictures and great updates! We highly recommend Andria to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter! 😊”

About: We had a poodle and then a cat in the house when I was a kid. Since then I've lived with several different cats and have been helping to look after friends' pets of various species when they're out of town or unavailable. I completed a course by the Professional Pet Care Association to become a Certified Pet Sitter and Dog Walker. I typically start my primary job at 3pm so late mornings and early afternoons are great for drop-ins or walks. Thursdays and Fridays are my normal days off so I'm available to spend more time with your pets then. The Practical Stuff: Happy to come over and provide food, water, exercise, and scoop litter boxes for your pets. The Other Important Stuff: I want your pet to feel safe and cared for while you're not there. I love petting, cuddling, playing, talking and generally hanging out with any dog or cat that wants the attention. If you have other pets like fish, reptiles, arthropods, etc. I can likely help out with them too. Let's talk about it. I'm fond of house plants and have dozens of my own so I'm happy to keep them watered for you.
“Scott was able to come out on short notice, meeting Sasha the day before. They played outside, then spent some time relaxing indoors, giving me peace of mind while I was out of town. I highly recommend Scott and will be setting up more visits for next week.”

“Callie did great with our kitten! Her updates included good info and we enjoyed all the photos sent as well. Unfortunately our kitten had an accident on her and the floor and despite this she managed it well and cleaned up the area well for us too (we could not tell where it even happened).”

“Mara was awesome!! The cats seemed to be comfortable with her immediately -- even our shy girl. Her drop-in pics made us smile everyday and she followed instructions perfectly as far as we could tell! Thank you Mara! You rock :)”

“Emily did a fabulous job taking care of our cats for the week. We were amused and entertained by the photos on each visit. She learned the cats’ personalities and gave each the attention they wanted. Came home to healthy and happy fur babies!”

About: I have taken care of dogs for over 10 years. I often dog sit for my parents and friends. I am very adaptable to the needs of any animal! I currently work full time day shift and always have weekends off. On the weekends, we like to take walks to the park to play or just stay home and cuddle up on the couch and watch movies. I have a fenced in backyard. I work 10 minutes from home so I am free to stop in and let dogs out throughout the day.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and have always had a passion for caring for animals. Throughout the years, my family and I have welcomed rescue dogs into our home and fostered dogs in need of a safe and loving environment. I currently have a Bernedoodle and a Golden Retriever of my own, both of whom I have been actively involved in training and caring for from a young age. For the past five years, I’ve also provided pet-sitting and dog-walking services for family, friends, and neighbors, caring for dogs and puppies of various ages, personalities, and needs. I’m committed to providing every pet with the same patience, attention, and love I give my own dogs. I’m currently a Dental Hygiene student with a flexible schedule that allows me to provide pet care primarily during afternoons and evenings. I’m happy to work with your schedule and accommodate your pet’s individual needs whenever possible. I want every pet to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re with me! I’ll make sure to follow your pet’s normal routine and pay attention to their personality and individual needs. I’m also big on keeping pets supervised, giving them plenty of attention, and making sure they get their walks, potty breaks, food, and playtime. I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own and keep you updated with pictures and messages so you know they’re doing well while you’re away!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
