“Andrea accepted our request last minute and continued with the prompt communication which was very appreciated! Loved the Rover Card and will definitely rebook again for future needs :)”

“If 10 stars was an option I’d give 10, but 5 will have to do. This was our first time booking with Rover and I could not be more happy. We hit the jackpot with Elsie. She was great at communicating and sent lots of pictures! Absolutely love that we can have someone care so well for our pup in the comfort of his own home!”

“Brittney has been great with my dog and it has been such a huge help to have someone come and walk her while I am not able to! Winnie lays by the door after Brittney leaves, hoping she will come back for another walk, so I have nothing but good things to say about her.”

About: Full time college student which allows for flexibility. I have dogs of my own but trusted with family and friends to care for their pets as well. I have classes Monday-Friday with a super flexible schedule especially mid-day. I work part time and I’m easy to schedule with for your specific needs. My favorite part of my day is taking my dogs outside for a walk, and I would love to take care of your dog(s) with the same love and care. “Hound has been great with our dogs and they seem relaxed and happy when we get home. Manages the needs of our very old husky and young border collie mix very well so they both get the attention and exercise they need.”
About: I have been surrounded by animals my entire life, and my love and respect for them is endless. Caring for pets is not just a responsibility for me—it’s something I truly enjoy. I love going for walks, playing, giving affection, and making sure every pet gets the care, attention, and love they deserve… and a little extra. Whether it’s keeping them active, comfortable, or simply happy, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m a medical doctor currently studying from my apartment in downtown to validate my degree in the U.S., so I spend most of my day at home. This gives me plenty of time and flexibility to care for your pets. I love walking, taking dogs out for fresh air, and staying active—I exercise for about an hour each day and enjoy including furry friends in my routine. My own pets are in Colombia, and I miss them dearly, so all the love and care I have is ready to be shared with animals who need it. Your pet will receive my full attention, affection, and care. I live in a safe downtown apartment, enjoy taking regular walks, and will make sure your pet feels happy, secure, and loved as if they were my own. I can also follow any special care instructions to ensure their comfort and well being. ✨ If the owners are okay with it, I love giving the pets I take care of a little gift my homemade chicken feet gummies 🐾. They’re super simple, made only with chicken and water, healthy, and full of protein and collagen that can help their joints and skin. I will offer 10 gummies as a special gift 💝

If 10 stars was an option I’d give 10, but 5 will have to do. This was our first time booking with Rover and I could not be more happy. We hit the jackpot with Elsie. She was great at communicating and sent lots of pictures! Absolutely love that we can have someone care so well for our pup in the comfort of his own home!

Matthew did an excellent job with my 12-year-old dachshund named Isaac. He was quick to respond, right on time, very friendly, and is clearly experienced with dogs. Isaac can sometimes feel stressed when separating from me in a new environment, but Matthew immediately knew how to help keep him calm and comfortable. He sent photos during the walk, recommended some great parks and dog-friendly walking areas around Rochester, and chose an excellent place for us to meet. You can tell he genuinely enjoys spending time with animals and pays attention to their individual needs and personalities. Overall this was a fantastic experience and I would absolutely trust Matthew with Isaac again in the future. I highly recommend Matthew for taking good care of people's pets.

While we were away, Anne cared for our elderly dog. We can’t say enough about how great her care was for our old gal! We are so thankful for her attention to detail and thoughtfulness in providing the right amount of exercise, affection, food and water. We definitely recommend Anne!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
