About: I have dog sat for a few families in the past, I lived on a farm for 18 years. I raised and worked with anything from small to large animals. I am a full time student and I have a flexible schedule to attend to and play with your pets! I have a reliable form of transportation for outdoor exercise or adventures! About: Animals have pretty much always been a huge part of my life. I have well over 15 years of experience with dogs and cats, with much of that time spent in animal rescue, fostering and training. Over the years, I’ve helped with more dogs than I could possibly count and have personally fostered 60+ dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes and backgrounds. Rescue has given me experience with a little bit of everything—puppies, seniors, breeder-release dogs learning how to live in a home, high-energy dogs, and dogs who are shy, fearful, anxious or reactive. I'm very comfortable slowing things down and letting a dog tell me what they need rather than expecting every dog to interact or behave the same way. I also have hands-on dog training experience and have continued my education in canine behavior, including Family Dog Mediation and Michael Shikashio’s Aggression in Dogs course. I use positive, reward-based methods and have a strong interest in canine body language and understanding the why behind a dog's behavior. A lot of that interest started with one of my own dogs, who came to me at 7 months old severely undersocialized and afraid of much of the world around her. Working through her fear and reactivity taught me an incredible amount and ultimately led me much further into dog training and behavior. I'm also comfortable with senior pets, medical needs, administering medications and following detailed care instructions. One of my own dogs had grand mal seizures, so I have firsthand experience caring for a dog with a seizure disorder as well. At the end of the day, I want the animals in my care to be treated exactly how I'd want someone to treat mine—with patience, kindness and attention to their individual needs. Every dog is different, and getting to know the dog in front of me is one of my favorite parts of doing this. And yes, I'm still the person you'll find sitting on the floor with the dog at a crowded get-together. 😂

About: We had a poodle and then a cat in the house when I was a kid. Since then I've lived with several different cats and have been helping to look after friends' pets of various species when they're out of town or unavailable. I completed a course by the Professional Pet Care Association to become a Certified Pet Sitter and Dog Walker. I typically start my primary job at 3pm so late mornings and early afternoons are great for drop-ins or walks. Thursdays and Fridays are my normal days off so I'm available to spend more time with your pets then. The Practical Stuff: Happy to come over and provide food, water, exercise, and scoop litter boxes for your pets. The Other Important Stuff: I want your pet to feel safe and cared for while you're not there. I love petting, cuddling, playing, talking and generally hanging out with any dog or cat that wants the attention. Matt did an amazing job watching our dog for a couple of days. Our first meeting was warm and inviting. He is calm and very laid-back, which quickly drew us to him. Natalie was very patient and considerate while house sitting our 2 dogs and 2 cats. She worked with our anxious puppy to help him feel more comfortable and gave all the fur babies lots of love and attention. She also took great care of the house and everything was clean and tidy when we got home.
Autumn took excellent care of Shiloh while we were away! The minute he met her, he just wanted to play and cuddle, so I could tell Shiloh was at ease with her. Autumn went out of her way to pick up his medication and give it to him with food twice a day. We loved seeing photos of Shiloh and her dog, Charlie.
