About: Animals have pretty much always been a huge part of my life. I have well over 15 years of experience with dogs and cats, with much of that time spent in animal rescue, fostering and training. Over the years, I’ve helped with more dogs than I could possibly count and have personally fostered 60+ dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes and backgrounds. Rescue has given me experience with a little bit of everything—puppies, seniors, breeder-release dogs learning how to live in a home, high-energy dogs, and dogs who are shy, fearful, anxious or reactive. I'm very comfortable slowing things down and letting a dog tell me what they need rather than expecting every dog to interact or behave the same way. I also have hands-on dog training experience and have continued my education in canine behavior, including Family Dog Mediation and Michael Shikashio’s Aggression in Dogs course. I use positive, reward-based methods and have a strong interest in canine body language and understanding the why behind a dog's behavior. A lot of that interest started with one of my own dogs, who came to me at 7 months old severely undersocialized and afraid of much of the world around her. Working through her fear and reactivity taught me an incredible amount and ultimately led me much further into dog training and behavior. I'm also comfortable with senior pets, medical needs, administering medications and following detailed care instructions. One of my own dogs had grand mal seizures, so I have firsthand experience caring for a dog with a seizure disorder as well. At the end of the day, I want the animals in my care to be treated exactly how I'd want someone to treat mine—with patience, kindness and attention to their individual needs. Every dog is different, and getting to know the dog in front of me is one of my favorite parts of doing this. And yes, I'm still the person you'll find sitting on the floor with the dog at a crowded get-together. 😂

About: I’ve been helping take care of the pets of friends and family since I was in middle school. I mainly specialize in dog, cat, and rodent care. For the past 7 years I’ve worked in positions helping to care for animals in research settings, mainly rodents, rabbits, and pigs. However my biggest love is caring for our furry and not so furry pets at home. I am able to do afternoon/evening walks or house drop/ins if need be. I am free most weekends as well for walks or drop-ins or if necessary overnight care. I’m a big proponent of animal welfare. I always want to see pets and all animals really live long, healthy lives. I’m willing to follow any guidelines a pet owner has regarding their pet(s) and will always be respectful of an owner’s wishes. If I were to stay in a client’s home for an overnight visit I would be respectful of the client’s space and would be as neat and tidy with my stay there as possible.
About: Hello! I have had dogs around me all my life. I’m currently a dog parent to two Chihuahua mix dogs, Bennie and Jet. Both are rescued and very sweet. I have assisted in training hunting dogs for my family and friends. I don’t have any professional experience, but I love dogs and I’m very good at making dogs feel safe and loved. I live in Rochester, MN and work a job that is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm in the office. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know. I would love to get to know you and your four legged family members!!! I typically work 9am-5pm at the office 3-4 days a week. In the mornings, I take my pups out to go potty and then they tend to come in and go back to bed. When I can I like to come home over my lunch to take them out and play a bit. In the evenings, we play outside if it’s nice and inside if not. My pups are free feeders so they eat when they are hungry and I just fill the bowl back up, this is typically 1/2-1 cup per day for my two chihuahuas. I’ve followed more routine feeding with my dogs in the past but this works best for mine now. My pups will cuddle on the couch with me until bedtime then they sleep in bed with me. I have a fenced in yard with trees for the pups to play in. Good side-walked neighborhood for walks. My house has stairs but I use baby gates for when senior or special needs pets visit. Lots of dog beds and blankets, all the blankets in my house belong to the pups lol.
