“Anne has sat for us multiple times and is great. We love how much she does with our dog. We will continue to book with Anne in the future. Thank you for all that you do!”

“Angela is so good with Arne. Normally he gets nervous with new people and will hide, but he comes right up to her, and she is so good to him while I’m away. I always know he is in good hands when she is taking care of him.”

“Nevaeh is the best! Our babies absolutely loved her. We felt so comfortable leaving for the weekend knowing she was watching them! Will definitely have her back the next time we are out of town.”

“Callie is great! She checked in with our dogs precisely on time and left great notes + photos. The dogs love her. One of our dogs is diabetic - Callie was experienced with observing signs of glucose inbalance and administering insulin. We recommend Callie and will request her service in the future.”

“Brittany was great! My cat was well cared for, and had a blast during play time!! She was also super flexible when we needed an extra day of drop in visits! 10/10!”

“Absolutely wonderful with my elderly rabbit. It’s hard to find anyone who cares for rabbits, so I’m hoping this reaches anyone else that may be looking. Will be booking her again for all my travel!”

“Mia is a very responsible sitter! My cat is a shy boy when seeing strangers, but he was willing to play with Mia! Definitely will have another booking with Mia in the future.”

“Joanna was amazing! She made sure to send us adorable updates about our pet while we were away for about a week for our wedding! We never had to worry if our baby back home was being taken care of.”

About: Hello! I have had dogs around me all my life. I’m currently a dog parent to two Chihuahua mix dogs, Bennie and Jet. Both are rescued and very sweet. I have assisted in training hunting dogs for my family and friends. I don’t have any professional experience, but I love dogs and I’m very good at making dogs feel safe and loved. I live in Rochester, MN and work a job that is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm in the office. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know. I would love to get to know you and your four legged family members!!! I typically work 9am-5pm at the office 3-4 days a week. In the mornings, I take my pups out to go potty and then they tend to come in and go back to bed. When I can I like to come home over my lunch to take them out and play a bit. In the evenings, we play outside if it’s nice and inside if not. My pups are free feeders so they eat when they are hungry and I just fill the bowl back up, this is typically 1/2-1 cup per day for my two chihuahuas. I’ve followed more routine feeding with my dogs in the past but this works best for mine now. My pups will cuddle on the couch with me until bedtime then they sleep in bed with me. I have a fenced in yard with trees for the pups to play in. Good side-walked neighborhood for walks. My house has stairs but I use baby gates for when senior or special needs pets visit. Lots of dog beds and blankets, all the blankets in my house belong to the pups lol.
“Scott was able to come out on short notice, meeting Sasha the day before. They played outside, then spent some time relaxing indoors, giving me peace of mind while I was out of town. I highly recommend Scott and will be setting up more visits for next week.”

About: We had a poodle and then a cat in the house when I was a kid. Since then I've lived with several different cats and have been helping to look after friends' pets of various species when they're out of town or unavailable. I completed a course by the Professional Pet Care Association to become a Certified Pet Sitter and Dog Walker. I typically start my primary job at 3pm so late mornings and early afternoons are great for drop-ins or walks. Thursdays and Fridays are my normal days off so I'm available to spend more time with your pets then. The Practical Stuff: Happy to come over and provide food, water, exercise, and scoop litter boxes for your pets. The Other Important Stuff: I want your pet to feel safe and cared for while you're not there. I love petting, cuddling, playing, talking and generally hanging out with any dog or cat that wants the attention. If you have other pets like fish, reptiles, arthropods, etc. I can likely help out with them too. Let's talk about it. I'm fond of house plants and have dozens of my own so I'm happy to keep them watered for you.
“Mara was great! She did drop in visits to care for our cat while we were on vacation. Lucy, our cat, is very shy and this was the first time we have used this service, so we didn't know what to expect. As the week went on, I could see in the pictures that Lucy was warming up to Mara. Lucy seemed very happy and well cared for when we returned homes.”

“Victoria did a great job taking care of my crew over a 4-day weekend. They all did great and she communicated throughout the weekend with photos and updates. I highly recommend her.”

“Brittney is spectacular. She did pop-ins with my dog on short notice. Friendly, timely, and professional communications, with much appreciated pictures of the pooch. 10/10 Will use again”

I’m currently working full time during the week. I will have plenty of time to spend with your dogs and make sure that they are taken great care of. I’ll be able to look after your dog at your place and make sure they feel comfortable. I’ll be able to let them out multiple times through out the day as well

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Rochester
Callie was such an amazing, thoughtful, and intentional caregiver for my lil baby!! Absolutely wonderful with both pet care and other home tasks (e.g., plants, vacuum maintenance) and gives such adorable and informative report cards. I cannot recommend her enough and am thrilled to have her as a caregiver any time!

Anne was fantastic with my cats! She kept me updated throughout my trip with messages and photos, which gave me real peace of mind. She was even able to win over my very shy, scaredy-cat, who not only came out to see her but even accepted some love and attention. It's clear Anne is patient, caring, and wonderful with animals. I came home to happy, well-cared-for cats, and I wouldn't hesitate to book her again. Highly recommend!
Anna was a great pet sitter! She was also incredibly flexible, I accidentally booked the wrong dates (I put May instead of April), and she kindly accommodated the change without any issues. Most importantly, she got along really well with my cat, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. I would definitely recommend her!

Caroline was fantastic. She was dependable and when our Roomba unexpectedly moved our cat steps to their food, she let us know and put the steps back so our kids were still able to easily get to their food and water. She was kind and loving to our two cats each time she came. We highly recommend her!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Rochester. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 87% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
