“Ashley was so accommodating by taking Piper with only 24 hr notice. Awesome communication and met us at the door as we walked up to her house at drop off. Piper was spoiled during the day with walks and lots of love. We were updated with pictures and videos during the day. Highly recommend Ashley and we will be contacting her when our next appointment is scheduled at Mayo Clinic.”

“I had a great experience leaving my 2 dogs with Donna. One of my dogs is older and anxious but she took excellent care of him. She has a big yard with plenty of room for the dogs to run and get exercise. I loved that she sent pictures and updates every few days while I was gone. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter.”

“I am late in getting my reviews posted. Please forgive me, Miranda and Kaeleb!! Hazel always enjoys being spoiled by you. Thanks so much for being so loving and kind!! Paula L.”

About: I have been surrounded by animals my entire life, and my love and respect for them is endless. Caring for pets is not just a responsibility for me—it’s something I truly enjoy. I love going for walks, playing, giving affection, and making sure every pet gets the care, attention, and love they deserve… and a little extra. Whether it’s keeping them active, comfortable, or simply happy, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m a medical doctor currently studying from my apartment in downtown to validate my degree in the U.S., so I spend most of my day at home. This gives me plenty of time and flexibility to care for your pets. I love walking, taking dogs out for fresh air, and staying active—I exercise for about an hour each day and enjoy including furry friends in my routine. My own pets are in Colombia, and I miss them dearly, so all the love and care I have is ready to be shared with animals who need it. Your pet will receive my full attention, affection, and care. I live in a safe downtown apartment, enjoy taking regular walks, and will make sure your pet feels happy, secure, and loved as if they were my own. I can also follow any special care instructions to ensure their comfort and well being. ✨ If the owners are okay with it, I love giving the pets I take care of a little gift my homemade chicken feet gummies 🐾. They’re super simple, made only with chicken and water, healthy, and full of protein and collagen that can help their joints and skin. I will offer 10 gummies as a special gift 💝
“Toni was so sweet, friendly, and helpful. She took great care of Franklin, was flexible to handle the puppy sides of him, and did great at facilitating bonding time for my dog and her grand dog. I would trust to leave Franklin with her again in the future!”

“Janny and Tramyra were amazing. They had the patience and expertise to work with my dog and make sure he was comfortable. I’m really happy I found them and look forward to using them again. Highly recommend”

“Devon is a very experienced dog sitter. She was intuitive and kind to my Pepper (13 year old German Pincher). In spite Pepper upending her garbage and stealing chicken off the counter she took everying in stride. Devon communicates very well, responding daily with pictures and updates She also has a huge fenced in yard which is a plus.”

“Amber is absolutely wonderful! She took care of my girl like she was already a part of the family. She was also very accommodating with my last minute delays. I will 100% book with her again. 10/10 recommend!”

About: I love pets and have taken care of them in my family as well as for others since the age of 12. I also have experience with all sorts of farm animals from helping at my grandparents’ ranch every summer— horses, cats, chickens, dogs- you name it! I’m truly an animal lover and will treat your pets like family. I'm a recent college graduate with a very open schedule! I am very flexible and free most weekdays and weekends to help care for your pets :) I'll treat your pets like my own and make sure they are as safe and comfortable as possible. Honest communication about how to best serve their needs is always helpful, such as crate/potty/eating habits and expectations.
“Andrew was amazing with cloud and took great care of him. We were traveling and its always difficult to leave your fur baby behind but Andrew made sure to send us so many pictures of all the fun they had every day. Honestly we were relieved to know that cloud was much loved and cared for while we were gone. Cloud loved his stay and would look forward to going back and spending time with Andrew and his lovely family the next time we need someone to carr for him. We will most definitely use Andrew's services again.”

About: I have about twenty years of experience taking care of cats and dogs. I am able to walk your dog, play fetch, feed, water, brush and transport them if needed. I am a trustworthy, reliable, and hard-working person. If you choose me to take care of your pet you will not be disappointed! I currently work full time but I'm available before and after work during the week to care for your animals! I typically have off Saturday and Sunday! A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
